I got on the back of Mengda and Alan got on Kegu and we took off to the sky. after circling for a bit the wyverns make way toward each other and roar. The crown cheers it looks like a legendary battle is about to commence. if only they could hear what these knucklehead wyverns are saying.

"I wanted to have him ride me! this one smells bad and is fat!" Kegu roars in indignation.

"No! I want to have momma ride me! you can just fly that stupid one." Mengda answers back with a cheeky tone.

Kegu makes a pass to scratch at the head of Mengda but Mengda manages to drop low enough to avoid it, almost clipping me off in the process with the bottom of Kegu's tail.

"Hey did you guys forget I need to win so you can be free?!" both wyverns go silent and stall in the air flapping in place. Alan freaks out yelling at Kegu to attack me and he doesn't budge. Mengda approaches Kegu and Kegu leans his head to the side exposing Alan.

"Hey what is this stupid wyvern think it's doing!? how could they listen to a weak human and not me a powerful demon!" this guy has serious problems, he's not even past intermediate power and he's this arrogant imagine if he made it to demon king rank or higher. I will try to do the demon world a service and blast him to his death.

"Mengda try and blast him off Kegu's back if he falls we win." this would be so much easier if I was allowed to just jump off and kick Alan off. got to play by the rules though so we can acquire the wyverns. Mengda gets to the side of Kegu and pressure-washes Alan with his poison breath. I use worthless since no one here can sense demonic energy and get rid of any spirit power Alan may be using to hold on. shortly after he goes flying off and as he's falling he seems to be panicking.

The crowd seeing Alan falling begins to scream and holler, most placed their bets on josephs team, and with this, they will lose out on a lot of money. as he falls josephs eyes burn in fury as he looks up at me and then back an Alan falling he just snorts and stands up. but before anything happens Alan begins to scream.

"Help! I can't teleport!" Ah, I see my worthless disabled his power and now he is free falling to his death. he slowly approaches the ground and Gauss rushes to cast a wind spell but as it hits him it just passes over him like a stream. Alan soon hit the ground kicking up a dust cloud.

landing Mengda in the middle of the field Kegu lands beside Mengda and I begin to head over to Alan to see if he lived. joseph who was closer to the landing site teleports to Alan even if he's mad at him for losing their still allies and he can't just let him die.

Arriving and seeing for myself I see that Alan managed to land on his legs and snapped them in all the wrong directions and is crying while holding his legs. He screams and Joseph rushes to hand him a healing potion. Alice also arrives and orders the approaching curious crowd to go home.

"What happened Alan how could you mess up and not save yourself? you have the demon talent to teleport it should be a simple challenge to save yourself." joseph looks incredulously at Alan.

"I don't know I got knocked down and tried to Teleport but my spirit power wouldn't listen to my command." Alan seems to think about it while gritting his teeth in pain the healing potion didn't do much for his legs there still shattered. "The only thing I can think of is that the poison affected me but that should be impossible because you gave me a resistance pill." Then like thunder struck him Alan goes wide eye and stares at joseph. "You gave me a pill and then I lost my powers..." no way is this guy this dumb?

Joseph seeing the situation going awry begins to sweat a little. I see this as an opportunity, if Alan and Joseph start fighting then that means I will have the opportunity to make gains in all the chaos that will follow. I wanted him to fall and die but the guy actually lived and is even beginning to accuse his ally of trying to off him. he probably doesn't even slightly begin to think it's me who did something since I am just a weak human in his eyes. I am not sure how to feel about this guy's stupidity.

What is this idiot talking about how is this my fault he didn't teleport? does he think I would scheme to kill him for nothing? if I waste time and resources fighting him my brother will win the heir position. and if Alan's father gets involved I can kiss the Heir seat goodbye. his dad might be a figurehead but he still technically has the title of the empire financial minister if he goes for me my dad would just hand me over.

"Royce takes Alan to get the medical attention he needs to be healed before the damage becomes permanent." if it isn't already permanent the fool probably crippled himself. seeing Royce run off with Alan I look back at Alice.

"Congratulations on winning Alice the wyverns are yours and the cash pool. I need to follow after and make sure Alan gets treated, excuse me." setting off I wonder if it was an accident how could he have been unable to teleport I was watching the whole time and didn't feel anything. Arriving back at my base Vasasha and Arux are waiting on me. "watch over Alan I need to fix this before it becomes a big problem. if Alan cant heal and he blames me and gets his father involved I can kiss my heir title goodbye. Kanita would use this as an opportunity to take my place on the dark moon. after that, I would have nothing to compete with him with."

After helping Alice move the wyverns back into the cage I head to the holding area she is putting them in. in the middle of the holding area, there is a pond I approach it and use Stolas to make it poisonous so the wyverns enjoy their stay here a bit more. I will bring some plants back from the blue lake when I have time, now I need to go talk to Shea about the opportunity that just literally fell from the sky.

"Alice they will be fine in here and I let them know people will be by with food to not eat them so they will behave. just don't try to ride them without me here they will eat you in one bite." She puffs her cheeks in indignation.

"I am more than one bite!" Athena gets a chuckle seeing our little play. I look over and see Kia who is oddly looking at me. I guess it's time to talk to her huh? maybe after I talk to Shea I need to make sure Shea is ready for any problems sprouting up.

"Hey, Kia can I talk to you for a bit?" Athena seems fully alert at the mention of the succubus maid. Alice sits back enjoying the show that's about to go on. Kia seems surprised I called out to her before something strange passes through her eyes, I think doing this now might have been a mistake.

"Yes, master Nova? what can your servant do for you master Nova?" Athena looks at me like I am dirt. I also see some amusement in Kia's eyes even though she is putting on the act of an obedient servant. Shea, you have doomed me this time.

" *Cough* You don't have to call me that Kia that was all Shea's doing I did not ask for you as a 'reward' I find it to be degrading."

"So master is throwing me away because I degrade him with my unworthiness? Kia understands but she wishes she could have been of more use to master Nova." damn she is a good troublemaker, Athena looks ready to beat me up on her behalf and Alice is busting her gut laughing.

"That's not what I meant, but you're well aware. I was wondering if we could talk later I need to go meet with Shea and then we could talk." she tilts her head.

"I am master's I will do whatever Nova wants, I have just been staying busy with the princess since you have been running around ignoring me." can't argue that I have neglected this problem but still does she have to keep adding fuel to the fire?

"Nova! you scum bag how could you do that to Kia she is so nice and you have neglected her!" Athena begins to lay into me, but would she rather I have not neglected her? women are so confusing some times she was ready to beat me up at the start for talking to the succubus but now she's ready to beat me up for the succubus.

"Athena she is doing this to rile you up to make me suffer." I say helplessly. "would you have rather instead of spending my time with you I was spending it with Kia?" she fumbles at that, she then looks at Kia and then comes to a decision.

"Just because I want to spend time with you does not mean you can neglect Kia, she has to suffer the humiliation of being the servant of a dumb pervert like you at the least you could have talked to her." she's right but I just wasn't sure what to say to her. wait, dumb pervert? this girl is asking for it now! approaching Athena with my hands at the ready she seems to sense something is wrong but it's too late as I already got her by the sides and begin to tickle her under her arms where her armor doesn't protect. "Nova! hahaha Sto-haha, you better haha stop!"

"So that's the situation as I see it. we can use this opportunity to try and make gains and pull the rug out of their control on the dark moon." Shea seems full of excitement at the plans but still puts up a front.

"And you are sure that we could win the vote anyway? if I use my influence of the town yankou incident to get the Saiful family's vote we still need one more vote to get the sheriff position out from their control." the plan is to use Alan's current predicament to say he's unfit for service and take the position and give it to Kaguli. her brother is the imperial guard's leader who protects Shea they are loyal and this will also leave Athena free.

"We know Mellon family are traitors but we just haven't acted on that info. we can get them to vote our way if we have something that will interest them." taking out the moonshine I have in my inventory I pass some her way. "try it I started making it, we can use this and act like we want a partner to help distribute. just say that if they vote our way then we will let them have a portion of the stock and then when they help us vote we can strike on the info we have on them about the slave trading and get rid of them." that and they are bloody empire spy's so the faster we take care of them the better but they can help us before they die.

"It tastes... strong, it's not bad but it's defiantly different from what we usually drink." yea magically made moonshine kicks like a mule. need to tweak it some and add some flavors. "ok I will have Gauss bring it to them and get them to vote our way I don't see why they would deny this deal."

"Good also in this meeting trying to get me the mining officer position it's currently empty and they duties are falling on joseph and he is neglecting it. I am heading to the mine, either way might as well get some credits for doing it instead of giving it to Joseph." She nods and I leave some more moonshine before heading out to find Kia.

I could just tell her I can try to get rid of her soul shackles with my worthless. I doubt I can thought the one who cast them is demon emperor so I need to level up at least one more time before trying. I wonder if talking to her about me trying to save her mom would be to soon. I might as well hold off on that till I have leveled one more time so the chances of pulling it off are higher.
