Procter
Procter stayed in the tiny Groundskeeper's hut for six days. And during that time he had been in high spirits. He hadn't been having any nightmares. He felt mentally strong enough to go back to his estate. He felt well rested.
His spirits were high, but he also had been wrestling with his decisions when he had no control over himself. Father Scotley offered him prayer and comfort, but he still felt his situation was endlessly disheartening. He was Queen Beatrice's most trusted confidant. They had both witnessed the demon and the odd horrors that followed. With Lilith's special treatment of him, he wondered if he was strong enough to be of service to Queen Beatrice as he had been in the past.
He had been a buffer and her reason in the darkest of times. He had been furious at her for taking the deal. She did it selflessly. Her heart was good. She was a beautiful spirit, but it was the ultimate sin.
On the Sixth night, he dozed off to dreamland.
