Everyone had already packed their things going to the human world, on their way to Ivar's mansion. Everyone was grateful that they had magical powers to make the impossible happen such as transporting all of their bags to Ivar's mansion with the help of the teleportation portal.
Since they have done this, Lilith, Nadia, and Aidan, along with the other people who are not familiar of the mansion like Amon and Gregory, look at the place from where they are. It is indeed an extravagant mansion, fit for the likes of the people who lived in the Kingdom of Elysion.
Nevin told them how the mansion was set up in the human world. In the beginning, his older brother, Devin, was cursed as a Soul Eater. He was cursed because the Almighty Seraphim thought that Devin had killed Nevin, surprising the others who had heard this the first time.
And so before the Almighty Seraphim knew all the reasons why Devin did it since he was acting as the bad guy to protect the kingdom in his own ways when the war was still brewing, Devin stayed in the human world to atone for his sins as ordered by their mother.
Amon knew some details of it, but he didn't know to what extent. The ones who were completely interested in listening were Gregory, Lilith, and the twins, Nadia and Aidan.
They allowed Nevin to narrate everything in detail, so they listened before they were given the chance to ask questions. It's as if Nevin was having class being able to narrate an interesting story such as that that would completely get the interest of the people around him.
Nevin told him that originally, Devin owned the mansion. He told them that he stayed there with Ivar, Gwen, Martha, Edwin, and Arvid, and of course, Angeal, along with her grandfather whom they have never met, Gladios.
By this part, they were already curious as to how Devin got married to Angeal. Nevin narrated in brief that it was such a rollercoaster ride because there are a lot of people involved. Of course, Nevin's wife Dharvey, being the close friend of Angeal, chimed in here and there to tell her side, too.
Nevin and Dharvey told the others that Angeal was the infant Devin saved. Her grandfather sold both of their souls to Devin so they were working for him. Devin also left the mansion for how many years and only met Angeal who was also around 19-20 that time.
Hearing this story made Lilith comment—saying that Amon and her are the same. Amon saved her and then took her in for the Kingdom of Gehenna to raise, but unlike Angeal, her soul wasn't sold. Lilith also pointed out that they also met almost the same age as Angeal, but for Lilith, she's 22.
Because of this, Nadia and Aidan teased her, saying what if she and Amon are going to be like their Uncle Devin and Aunt Angeal, ending up together? Both Amon and Lilith scoffed at the idea, saying that it is impossible.
Changing the topic, Nevin further explained that since Devin and Angeal are now married and have a family of their own, they decided to live in the Meadow Closest to Heaven, a place where angels rest when they do their task. Since they often have a dream about the place, they decided to stay there.
Levin and Ava also stayed in the mansion, too. However, when they also got married and decided to have a family of their own, they moved out from the mansion and they decided to live in Devin's private island in the human world.
So the only ones left in the mansion are Ivar and Gwen, their family, then Martha, Gwen's mother, Edwin, Arvid's father, then Arvid and his only son.
So still, everyone is happy that people get to stay in the mansion because of course, it still held a sentimental value. Everyone lived there in harmony. Everyone lived there happily. Put it simply, everything started there so leaving that place would be a bummer, even to Devin and the others.
Sometimes or most times, if not in the Kingdom of Gehenna or Kingdom of Elysion, they hold most family and friend gatherings there in the mansion.
Knowing the history of the mansion now made Gregory, the twins, and Lilith want to further explore the place.
"Alrighty." Ivar spoke over the teleportation portal for everyone to hear. "Is that everything?"
"Yes," Nevin said, looking at all of the luggages behind Ivar to confirm. "I believe that's everything."
"Good."
As Nevin was preparing to head inside the portal however, everyone, most especially Nevin, was surprised when he was pushed back by Ivar.
"What the—what's the deal?"
"What's the deal?" Ivar rolled his eyes at him and put his hands on his waist, letting out a chuckle at the same time. "I'm not going to let you in the mansion for now!"
"What?" Nevin furrowed his brows. "But we have our luggage there! We're going there for something important, remember?"
"I know," Ivar said, now looking at Lilith to further explain his point. "Remember, Lilith's going to visit the human world for the first time. Your children may have visited, but you know, it's better if you guys get to explore before going here."
Nevin arched a brow at him. "I beg your pardon?"
"Do I have to tone it down for you to understand?" Ivar did a face palm, shaking his head at the same time. "I meant... go teleport to the city the next morning. And then from there, go around and enjoy the scene. If I can suggest, you guys can walk going to the mansion, too."
"Erm... sorry to burst your bubble," Gregory spoke, raising his hand at the same time as if he were a student talking to his teacher. "But I'm a vampire. I can't stroll around in the morning."
"Oh, right, right..." Ivar nodded. He almost forgot that he was introduced to Gregory the vampire earlier, almost forgetting his condition under the sun. "You're exempted. Come here to the mansion then and wait for them."
"Oh, cool!"
And with that, Gregory stepped inside the portal, already arriving in the mansion before everyone else.
"You—"
Nevin was prepared to rebut. However, before he could even say so, Ivar spoke, already closing the portal as he forced his decision on them.
"Adios, amigos!"
