Life Hunt, Levels, and Soul Control.

Since they got the two Undead Dragons, Solaire, Adrian, and Seraphine kept feeding them estus to see if it did anything. The results were ok as the healing got rid of the magots and smaller injuries. It brought them back from the brink of decay thankfully.

For the larger wounds, it was no good and would take the Dragon Core to do anything. In the meantime, Adrian and Seraphine started to learn under Big Hat Logon on the art of sorcery. Not only that, but they also had to learn Soul Control from Priscilla which was more useful in his mind.

At the moment they were with Logon who had them both held simple catalysts. Adrian felt like a Harry Potter character. He never liked this style of magic as it took got in the way of glorious melee.

Logon started to lecture on how to use it to these two warriors which were always the hardest to teach.

"Tart of Soul Sorcery is to take the power of the soul and send it out as an attack. We use our soul as a medium while we use a catalyst to bring it out into the world. Of course, we owe this to Seath the grandfather of sorcery."

Adrian looked at the wand in his hand as he asked about it.

"So how do we control it?"

Logon explained to both of them so they could try to use it.

"Simple, you have to control the very energy of your own soul. As we use the mind for this higher intelligence is required which is what we undead sorcerers focus on. What have you used all your souls for? You need more intelligence which will make this easier."

Adrian and Seraphine looked at their weapons and gear as they had completely focused on strength and the body. As they were now they could learn, but it is more useful to level up their intelligence a small bit.

They put down the catalysts as they really needed to level up their intelligence. They checked the souls they had as they had and from the look of it, they had not used the 25 million souls they had yet.

Seraphine went to the Bonefire right next to them while Adrian did the same. It was time to use up his hard-earned souls.

Adrian looked at his soul level and saw he was currently at Soul Level 95. He had leveled up that many times, but each time the price became steeper.

<Souls Available: 25,000,000 souls. Levels Available: 146 Available.>

'Wow, seems like a lot, but it is still not enough to reach max level. Ok, I want 23 to strength, 20 to Dexterity, 30 to Endurance, 27 to Intelligence, 15 to Attunement. That will be all, I want some souls leftover.'

<Souls Count: 4 Million Souls.

Soul Level: 95 (210)

-Vitality: 50(80)

-Attunement: 20(35)

-Endurance: 50(80)

-Strength: 57(80)

-Dexterity: 60(80)

-Resistance: 25

-Intelligence: 20(47)

-Faith: 20

The moment he confirmed it he felt the giant surge of souls toward his own which made Big Hat Logan look on with wonder. He and Seraphine both had consumed so many souls that they both gave off a heavy air.

A stronger soul gave so many benefits like resistance to Soul attacks, mind attacks, brainwashing, and Adrian wanted to make sure he had a soul as powerful as he could manage.

There were many works in fiction where users who could control their own souls could use it to hurt immaterial beings like ghosts and all manner of special abilities.

Now came the boons and as he had boosted Intelligence for the first time and he felt like he could see the world more clearly. However, it came with the itchy feeling in his brain and even his nerves.

His own body felt easier to control, but he did not become smarter all of a sudden. Instead, it seemed it just made his brain better at processing information which would be helpful.

With the vitality, he felt how all of his organs felt invigorated as his muscles, skin, and bones all grew stronger and denser. Plus, he was sure he might be able to heal from much more grievous injuries.

He and Seraphine both had to agree that growing stronger was one of the best feelings around in this dark grim world. However, this was different as Adrian felt like he could probably take a tank round to the chest and not get hurt.

Not much of an achievement, but it was something.

"Wow, that was something."

Seraphina had to agree.

"I feel like my whole body is indestructible. Like I could break a demon in two with just my hands. Is this how a Fume Knight feels?"

She picked up her Blackknight Greatsword from her back and she started to balance the blade with just one finger. She looked at Adrian's armor with a smirk.

"So captain, when do I get my second sword and my Fume Knight Armor?"

Adrian chuckled at her joke and he nodded.

"Well initiate knight, I believe you have earned it. We can ask Cough after this to make it for you. I honestly think he is glad to have people that make use of him after so long. He has started to hum when he works now."

They both quickly got into their own little world as they joked around ignoring Big Hat Logon. The sorcerer shook his head at how easily the youth got distracted.

"I am still here students. Pay attention."

They both looked at him a little annoyed, but they listen. They both picked up a wand or catalyst and listed to his careful explanation of Soul Sorcery. With their increased intelligence, their control over their own souls increased.

Adrian's soul was like a pitch-black void while Seraphine's was a clear flame. They both drew out some power from their souls and launched it at a target in the same of a simple soul arrow.

Unlike the normally blue light of the Soul Arrows, Adrian's was nearly black while Seraphine's was the normal blue. They also acted differently when they hit their targets.

While Seraphine's was like a razor-sharp dagger cutting through her target, Adrian's smashed it. It surprised Logan that they could use it so quickly, and he felt he had gotten perfect apprentices.

From what he could see Adrian was a warrior at heart and soul and his sorcery became more solid. Seraphine was also a warrior, but it seemed her soul was neutral.

Too bad that now that they knew what Soul energy was like they both thanked Logon. They were going to learn more, but they wanted to learn Soul Control as it would suit warriors like them better.

"Well Master Logon, this was interesting, but I need to meet with my niece. She has something to teach me."

Seraphine looked at him out the corner of her eye as they left the master Sorcer alone. He was going to stay until they unlocked the path to Seath which was the knowledge he was after.

"Why does she always say she wants to marry you? I am interested?"

Adrian thought about it as he went toward Priscilla's room that she had taken as hers. They all had, but it was dangerous to rest at a Bonefire as the foes would reappear thanks to the curse of the world.

"Well, it was obvious she had a childhood crush on me which I believed she would grow out of. One time she asked me to marry her when she was just a little girl."

Seraphine chuckled at the idea of little Prisciall asking an ancient being like Adrian o marry them.

"What did you tell her?"

"I would marry her when she turned 100 years old. She is now 873 and she is now coming after me for that promise."

"What will you say to her?"

She was more interested in this answer as it would answer one question she had. Adrian thought about it and came up with a suitable answer. He placed his hand as he started to touch his stubble.

He had shared his beard recently back to a heavy stubble as it grew quickly. While he loved his beard, it was something that would be back.

"Well, I care for her dearly, and let's be honest that she is a very pretty woman. Just like you, I would say, but the point is I don't think I can marry just one woman. I am a greedy man after all."

She moved a little bit of her hair behind her ear as he said that. Her face was slightly flushed, but she hid it well.

"You know, those words are going to come back to bite you. Women are spiteful and don't like to share."

Adrian chuckles as he picked her up in a princess carry before she could react.

"Quite possibly, but I like to hoard and am very greedy."

She looked at his rugged face as she traced her hand on a his cheeks. Even though his skin was as hard as steel, it still felt like normal skin. Both of their faces started to lean into each other, but they stopped when they heard an angry yell.

"Uncle! What are you doing?"

They both looked up and saw a pouty Priscilla so he just out down Seraphine with a bit of hesitation.

"Oh, we were about to kiss."

Seraphine did not expect him to be that direct, but it did not mean she did not like it. Priscilla on the other hand was a little annoyed about it, but she knew she could do nothing about it.

He was free to do as he pleased as he was single. but Seraphin coughed and got something out.

"Well he does not plan to stay exclusive you know. Maybe he would be willing to take you as well."

Adrian looked at her with an old look. He looked at Prisciall who was looking at Seraphine a little conflicted so Adrian used the holy technique. Be blunt about it.

"She is right you know. I don't plan on taking just one woman, but I am not about to go breaking their hearts of them. I do not lie and say it straight out at what I will do."

She looked at him with a determined look as she walked up to him.

"If you really mean that, I want to give you something like a promise."

Adrian looked at her confused.

"What is it?"

She took his hand and placed something in his hands which he recognized at a glance. In his hand, he held a tiny shard of her soul which shocked him. He looked her in the eyes and held the tiny shard with incredible care.

"You really are serious about this? You know how long it takes to heal from this right?"

She nodded with a smile as she was serious about this.

"It is no big deal as our souls are many times stronger than the soul of a human. We can take small shards like this which will heal in time. This is how I plan to get you to learn Life Hunt, but it is also me giving my mark. This way I will always be with you."

Adrian sighed as he held her soul shard tight.

"You played me, you, draconic minx."

She nodded with a smirk.

"I know, now I will start to teach you both Soul Control and Life Hunt. Seraphine, come along I want to get to know you better if we will be sharing him."

Adrian was really uncomfortable right now as a certain thought passed through his mind.

'These girls are treating me like a toy to share around.'

He sighed as he first took the shard into his soul and digested the shard. He felt a new ability like the one he got from Ornstein enter his soul, but he could not find a way to use it.

Priscilla felt the shard being consumed and smiled that someone else had her ability now.

"Take your time, I will teach you all I know from this power."
