Chapter Two: Monobus

It wasn't long until we were shoved into this metal like room secured with metal screws. There were no windows- only five buses. There seemed to be no entrance or exit to the tunnel. It might be one of those tunnels that open up by command or a button. Who knows where that's at. I guess Monokuma was right about making sure we don't escape.

"Oh god," I hear Mikan say from behind me. "This is bad. Now we are being shoved into a bus to whatever this Monotown is…"

"Don't worry," I say to her. My skates click across the pavement. I'm able to walk in them from so much practice- it barely feels like I'm even skating. It feels like I'm just actually walking.

"WHAT IS THIS?!" I hear a shout from the back. Everyone turns to find a girl with brown hair that sticks up at the ends with dark skin and a white button up shirt with a red skirt. Her eyes are angry.

"We can't just let Monokuma take us to this random psycho town that he made just for us," the girl says. "We can't let him have come to the like that. We need to escape. Now."

"Are you stupid?" Another voice echos in the tunnel. Everyone turns. Mikan sniffles a little. The whole tunnel seems interested because there is nothing else to do until Monokuma comes to help us into the Monobuses to go to Monotown.

The person who said the last thing was a tall guy with blonde hair and glasses in a suit. He seemed to be fairly rich and wealthy, intelligent and independent too. He seemed to be annoyed but serious.

"You really think we are going to escape with Monokuma probably watching us at this very moment?" The guys says again, his voice like a whip to the face. "I really hope that this evil bear hasn't twiddled with your brain. That would be very disappointing."

The girl growls a little. "Just who do you think you are? All smart like that- all I want is food right now! I wonder if this evil teddy bear dude has food on those Monobuses…."

The guy looks surprised. "We are getting sent into a killing game, a matter of life or death, and you want food? FOOD?! I bet half of us here are to nervous to even drink water."

Everyone looks scared to stand up for this girl. She looks like she doesn't care about this guy- that's the last thing she probably cares about right at this moment.

Soon, everyone goes back to their own thing. Talking nervously to their neighbor. Crying in the corners. Screaming for someone to help them, to help them get out of this horrible killing game which we would either be executed or murdered.

"Monobuses are running pretty slow…," I hear Kazuichi mutter behind me, probably to that Kokichi dude. "Their gears ought to be a Rustin'…"

The girl who spilled her pills everywhere is carrying her own wheelchair on her back, straps and everything. It's like it's made like a backpack. She seems awfully small for someone going to high school. She looked sickly- skinny and pale. Her oversized orange jacket looked like it belonged to a pro-wrestler compared to her. She looked scared and lonely. Someone probably told her about the killing game when we were to walk through the hallway here.

"Poor girl," I hear Mikan say. "She looks so helpless without someone to help her. She just spilled her medication everywhere. That's embarrassing. I feel bad."

Right after Mikan says this, I hear a laugh. Monokuma's.

"Hello, kiddos!" He exclaims. "Get ready for a road trip! Don't forget to pick a bus buddy to sit with on the bus! Don't be shy!"

A lot of people nervously look for buddies. J knew that they wanted to get away and go home.

Mikan and I are buddies instantly, since we are pretty much the only people that know each other well and became friends quickly.

The girl in the orange jacket looks down. I realize no one picked her, even though people are still looking. She looks like she's going to cry of embarrassment. I feel so bad.

I'm about to go up to her to ask her if she would like to join me and Mikan, but before I could, a tall guy walks out of the crowd. He's wearing a large purple scarf with a black, long jacket and large black boots. His hair is black and white, and it looks like he has hamsters on his back. They look so chubby and cute. I just want to reach for them.

"Greetings, mortal," he says in a deep voice. The girl in the orange jacket squeaks. The girl looks like a dwarf compared to this guy.

"It appears that you don't have a partner, for, well, the bus," he says. "I admit that I don't have one too, in all of the four dark realms. My four dark devas are seething with rage…."

The orange girl in the jacket smiles nervously and blushes a little. "So do you want to be bus buddies?"

The guy looks up out of his mumbling. "It would be a pleasure."

I feel a little glad for the girl now that she has a bus buddy.

As soon as everyone has a bus buddy, Monokuma begins loading us onto the buses. The buses are also made out of metal, no windows or anything that's e could break through. There is a thing separating the driver from us, so we can't take control of the wheel or break out through the windshield. On the back behind the thing that separates the driver, there are a whole bunch of luxury, padded seats that look like they are from a millionaire's home. Enough for three or two people.

Me and Mikan board. She shakes a little, crying as we find a seat.

I look around to find everyone else in a nervous, sad, and scared mood. Everyone seems quiet.

"HELLO, EVERYONE!" Monokuma booms from the intercom. "WELCOME TO THE MOMBUS! ONE OF MY ROBOTS WILL COME AND DRIVE THE CAR ALL THE WAY TO MONOTOWN, YOUR NEW TOWN!"

I hear someone yell little and a few shut ups.

"I WILL GO OVER THE RULES. 1: NO ESCAPING. IF I SEE YOH TRYING TO ESCAPE OR EVEN TALKING ABOUT IT, I WILL BLOW YOUR SWEET LITTLE HEAD OFF AND INTO THE SKY! 2: NO SCREAMING AND YELLING. IF I HESR YOU DO THIS, IT'S THE SAME FATE AS NUMBER ONE! AND LASTLY, NO, UHM… WELL… GOING TO THE BATHROOM. WELL, WE HAD SOME ISSUES WITH THIS IN THE PAST….. WHEN I WAS TRYING OUT THESE MONOBUSES PREPARING FOR MONOTOWN. ANYWAYS, YEAH, THOSE ARE THE RULES. OKAY, NOW, OUR AWESOME ROAD TRIP TOGETHER WILL BEGIN… NOW!"

The bus lurches toward. A few people screech a little but instantly shut their mouth.

A few minutes into the ride and Cheeto bag goes soaring over my head.

"Guy, I snuck food into the ride," I hear someone say. "I got more of you guys need some."

"Sweet," I hear someone, Kokichi, I think, say. "Do you have any grape jolly ranchers?"

I hear a package crumble. "No, sorry."

"Dang this bus," I hear Kokichi mumble. Me and Mikan look at each other.

"How do we entertain ourselves on this ride?" Someone drones. "Like, there are no windows or anything to look out of…. no way to tell time, no way to tell where we are headed, no bathrooms…."

"My watch disappeared when I woke up here," someone across from us says. I look over. It's a girl with dark skin and brown hair tied up into what looks like a pointy bun. She is wearing a red jacket with a white shirt and black shorts. The ultimate swimmer. Aoi Asahina.

Aoi points at her wrist and shrugs. "That watch was expensive. Bought it with my own money."

Kokichi giggled up front. I hear Kazuichi giggle too. They are probably bus buddies.

"Look at Nekomaru," I hear Lazhichi giggle. Kokichi burst out laughing. I turn to see a huff guy with a black jacket, white shirt, navy blue pants, and pointy hair on the ends lay down, taking up the entire seat. He probably didn't get s bus buddy. He's sleeping, snoring like a pug. I honestly think it's kind of funny too, I don't blame them.

"Oh my gosh, would you just shut your mouths?"

This is from that guy from the station that looked rich with that suit.

Kokichi turns back in his seat, his purple hair bouncing, his checkered bandana flowing in the air on his neck.

"I don't shut up, I grow up. And when I look at you, I throw up."

Kazuichi slaps his knee and bursts out laughing. I giggle a little. I heard that somewhere- I just don't know where.

The rich guy looks offended. "That is so disappointing," he says. "To have spent all your hard time to get into this school, and ending up to be some immature little kid that pretends to be a high schooler, ending up making a big mistake and gets into this killing game."

Kokichi looks angry. He gets up from his seat and starts jumping around. "You telling me I look like a little kid?!"

The rich guy turns around, adjusting his glasses. "Gosh, I hate my classmates already."

"Magiccccc," I hear someone say from the back, in a low but high, cute voice. "This can only be solved with magicccccc."

The rich guy turns. "Oh, for crying out loud. Magic isn't real."

The voice turns angry. "Maybe I can use some of my magic to turn you into a frog, because that's what my magic tells me you are on the inside. Abra cadabra!"

I recognize her as Himiko Yumeno, the ultimate magician. I saw her on the website.

"You're more of a frog then me," the rich guys says mockingly. "Just look at you."

I hear a couple of gasps. I guess this road trip isn't going to be the best after all.
