Chapter 39. Buying a haunted house.
"What!" The woman exclaimed, shocked by Li Chen's words. Even Zeng Hua couldn't help but be surprised.
"I said I want to buy your manor, so name your price," Li Chen repeated, leaving the lady speechless.
After a moment, she regained her composure and shook her head. "No, I'm not selling," she said, attempting to slam the door in their faces. However, Li Chen blocked it with his leg.
Furious, the lady asked, "What are you trying to do? Do you think you can intimidate me with your strength?"
Li Chen couldn't deny that he had considered intimidation, but it seemed ineffective. Judging by the size of the manor, it was evident that the lady's father was wealthy, as it was just a side house for a merchant.
