Chapter 3: Getting involved in something serious

Taiyou looked at them, his mind started to fill with murderous intents. He remembered the things those students had done to him.

"Why am I saving them? They're all worthless to me. Every bad thing they've done to me, I often fantasize about killing them. Now I have the power to do so." Taiyou thought to himself.

"They depend on me now…" Taiyou slowly approached the crowd.

He morphs his fingers into knives, his face filled with hatred. Slowly he approached them with a smirk as if he's taunting them.

As he gets closer and closer, a fireball was shot in front of his feet, it came from his right. It missed but it startled Taiyou. Taiyou stepped back and turned to his right.

"Back off! Don't make me turn you into steak!" Came from in front of him..

It's a girl. Her height is short, wearing a black Sailor Fuku, a black skirt, a red scarf, and knee high black socks. Her hair is short and black, and her eyes are an orange color. She is surrounded by a ring of fire circling around her, and there are flames rising up from the ground around her as she begins approaching Taiyou. She points at Taiyou, 

"If you think about hurting them then don't think I won't fry you afterwards." 

"What-? Me? Pfft, No… i- i wasn't going to hurt anyone"

"Then what's with that look you had earlier?"

"I was just a little bit annoyed, that's all. b- but, not at them of course! Do you even know how painful it is to get crushed by a giant and thrown into a building?"

"You turned your fingers into knives!"

"So? I was showing it off. If there's anything then it would've been me being the hero!"

"Look!" Taiyou pointed at the crater full of blood with dead students around it.

"The giant did that, so I killed it!" He then pointed at the giant's corpse.

 "Ask the teacher or- or the other students that are alive!"

The Girl turned to the teachers.

"Did this guy saved you?"

"Yes, even though there are casualties here but he tried his best to save us." Mr. Henry replied to her.

"Well that's good, glad i didn't have to have more things on my mind." The Girl returned her gaze to Taiyou.

"Hey idiot, you mind helping me out?" She crossed her arms.

"With what?" Taiyou scratched his head.

"Haven't you seen the news? The city is in chaos because people started getting powers. They're using their dumb new abilities to rob and other bad stuff. As for me, I'm going to beat up those bad guys." The Girl smirks as she stood there proudly.

"I was fighting one earlier. I had a problem and stumbled here." She looked at a direction and tilts her head for a second and looked back at Taiyou.

"You lost did you-"

"I did not!" She cuts him off.

"Then why'd you need my help?" Taiyou put his hands on his waist and leaned forward.

"So that- uhm- so that… so you could distract the enemy and then I swoop in and beat em' up! It's not like I really need your help anyway…"

Taiyou sighs.

"So, are you coming or what? You get to beat up more bad guys too if you join me by the way." She lends him her hand.

Taiyou thought about it and nodded.

"Sure, I got nothing else to do." 

The girl pulls on Taiyou's shirt and drags him with her. Taiyou stopped and stopped her from pulling him.

"Wait, let me try something first"

Taiyou ran towards the giant's corpse. He held its hands and as expected, a light glowed from where they made contact. The light is white and it streamed into Taiyou's body. Taiyou's body glowed for a while and went back to normal. Taiyou then stood up and ran back to the girl.

"Let's go" He pats her shoulder

"What did you do?"

"You'll see, let's just go now." and so they went off.

They've arrived at the location. They see the enemy is growing grass, plants, and trees everywhere, reverting the area back into nature.

"That the enemy?" 

"Yeah, that's her."

The enemy wears a green dress, a straw hat, and wears a branch covered with leaves as bracelets for both of her wrists. There are pink flowers on her hat and her hair. She has long green hair with green eyes that compliments her mature look.

"Her power is nature, i dont get how someone that has fire powers lose to a tree-"

"I didn't lose to a tree!" She cuts off Taiyou.

"Then go fight her yourself first" 

"NO! Weren't you going to be the bait?!"

"I need to know what she does first!"

"A no is still a no. You can find out yourself when she attacks you."

"Fine, let's see how this plan of yours works out." Taiyou bluffs as if he's unsure of her. He chuckles as he knows exactly what he'll do.

Taiyou approaches the enemy and turns his fingers into knives. He proceeds to get her attention.

"Oi, nature tree lady, or something, what's your name?"

She turned her attention to him. 

"Who? Me?"

Taiyou stopped just 20 meters from her and pointed his knives at her.

"Yes, you. Why are you destroying the buildings?"

"My name is Santi, I am merely restoring this city, giving it back to mother nature."

The window from a building to the right breaks, a tree is going out of it. Taiyou, alarmed, prepares himself to attack while taunting the enemy.

"Y'know, is it really necessary for you to wear just a nature-like outfit just because you have tree powers? why not just like, wear any other clothes like me. I'm literally wearing a school uniform."

Taiyou chuckled loudly on purpose.

"My clothings are none of your business! Begone with you, I have no interest in fighting a child." She crossed her arms as she gazed down on Taiyou with an annoyed look.

"Nuh-uh", Taiyou said, shaking his head as he grins.

"Look, caring about nature is great and all. I mean, I totally agree about making the world greener again and stuff. But, can you do it somewhere else? like maybe an actual forest that's like getting cut down by people y'know." Taiyou spreads his arms out.

"Silence! Be gone or else I'll make sure you regret it." Santi shouted. She had an annoyed look on her face.

"So be it." Taiyou aims and throws 5 knives at her.

The tree from the building grew and it blocked his attack. Taiyou kept throwing his knives but his efforts are worthless as all of it is blocked by a single ever growing tree by her control. 

"My turn!" An evil laughter came, followed by Hundreds of branches starting to grow from the entire tree trunk. 

Those branches all then hurled up into the sky. These branches then shoot back down, coming in fast at different speeds as it is about to rain down on Taiyou. Taiyou looked up to see all those sharp branches about to fall upon him.

"Seriously, where's that Girl anyway-" a branch lands in front of him, it missed.

"Gah-?!" Taiyou startled.

Bzz

Time has stopped.

"I need to get to a safe place. Where even is she? ain't she supposed to attack her while i distract her?"

Taiyou walks to a safer area, on the left just slightly closer towards Santi.

"If she doesn't get here in 5 minutes i'm going to just leave."

Vrr

Time has resumed

The sharp branches pierced through the ground, all concentrated on that single area. 

"What? where'd you go?!" Santi is surprised by Taiyou's sudden disappearance.

"I'm here, I swear this battle is going for too long. I think i talk too much."

"Y- You have teleportation powers do you?"

"Wh- what? Teleportation powers? No i don- i mean- yeah! I do have teleportation powers. got a problem with that?"

"What an idiot." Taiyou thought to himself and chuckled a bit.

"No matter, i'll kill you anyway."

"No you're not!" came from on top of a building

"Ah, it's that Girl again. Took her so long." Taiyou thought to himself and smiled as he then waved at her.

The Girl jumped off the building. Her hands are in front of her and is already casting an attack.

"Devil's Microwave!" She shouted as a massive fireball 2 times her size appeared. 

Santi was caught off guard, she couldn't block all of the attack and her right arm got burnt. though it wasn't enough. Santi retaliated and threw her sharp branches at her. The girl dodged and burnt some of it before it could get to her. Even so, they are both unable to land a hit on each other. The fighting was fierce as The Girl started flying around Santi while doing her best to both attack and defend. 

"Devil's Microwave! Fire! Fire! Devil's Microwave!" she shouts out her attack, attacking with both Small and Large Fireballs.

Taiyou watched the battle as he scratched his head.

"That's like the stupidest name for an attack. I should really end the fight here but i kinda wanna know what other stupid names she has."

"Fire Ant!" She sprayed a bunch of small flares that barely did anything to Santi.

"Well that name was decent but that attack was stupid. How are a bunch of small fires gonna do? it would burn someone like me but against that? Pfft, pretty useless. Yup, time to end this now."

Bzz

Time has stopped.

Taiyou once again stopped time, he approached and punched Santi's head multiple times. just not to the point she'll faint.

Vrr

Time has resumed.

Santi then flew off to hit the ground. Her face is suddenly already beaten up, surprised and shocked as she's unable to process what hit her. The Girl too is shocked seeing how Taiyou suddenly appeared in front of Santi and she suddenly smashed to the ground. The Girl came back down and questioned what he did.

"What did you do?! How did you- When? What?!"

"Relax, I beat her. I was bored anyway."

"How?!" She grabs onto his shoulder.

"hehe" 

"That doesn't explain anything!" She rapidly shook Taiyou

"Enough enough, so, what are you gonna do to her anyway? I could've killed her on the spot but i thought you might want to do something else to her."

Her eyes widen hearing Taiyou could kill the enemy

"Kill?! Why would you want do that?!"

"I didn't say I wanted to! I said I could! And i didnt even do it!"

"Hmm" She said as she gazed at the paralyzed enemy 

"No clue"

"Seriously…"

The two then went on and on figuring out what to do with the shocked paralyzed enemy for quite a while. 

"Well, just disposing her to the police is better anyway!"

"No, what makes you think ordinary prison could contain her? Your fire powers couldnt even hit her."

"Well at least it's better than murdering her!"

"That wasn't even my suggestion, you took it out of context!"

Footsteps could be heard getting closer and closer to them. They had not noticed yet as they're still busy debating with each other.

"What are you two lovebirds doing in the middle of chaos?" Sounded in a very deep manly voice

"Lovebirds?!" Both Taiyou and The Girl said at the same time and looked at the guy who said it.

"We don't even know each other!" said Taiyou.

The man in front of them is a buff man, wearing the country's military uniform. He's an adult with tan skin, has several badges on his uniform, and is showing it off to them on purpose. On his right hand, he is carrying a metal baseball bat.

"I am Lieutenant General Bailey Malacoda, Noor Santara Army. You two may call me-"

Bailey throws his bat to the sky and it spins. Bailey snaps his finger and the bat lights up in flames. As the bat comes back down, he grabs by the handle and swings it to the side, making the area around him burn.

"Blaze Ball." He smiled confidently acting cool.

"Look here, lovers or not but you two need to leave. It's not safe here."

"Wait, we have powers too! We took her down." Taiyou points at the paralyzed enemy.

"Well good job, then that means you two will be coming with me."

Bailey approached them, he paused for a moment to look at both of them and proceed to carry the paralyzed villain.

"Lets go."

The two had no reason to not follow him. So, all of them went off.
