"Tell me I'm dreaming."
Sadewa chuckled. He looked at Hema, glaring in horror, then turned to Rasya, who kept silent. Nakula himself didn't say anything and stared at the two young men who had been awake for almost twenty minutes.
"It's up to you if you want to think this is a dream. But look at your wound," Theo answered Hema.
Then Hema looked at the Andaru twins and back at Theo.
"And they really... w-werewolves...?"
As on cue, the eyes of the Andaru twins turned golden. It made Hema gasp and Rasya shocked.
Holy fucking shit.
"They are beta with an unknown alpha. So, with your help, it is possible that the alpha and the two of them could break off. You are willing to be their omega, right?" Theo was a bit pushy.
Rasya and Hema looked at each other.
"But by biting us? Are you sure it won't have any effect on us next?" It was Rasya who spoke this time.
Theo shook his head. "I told you, betas can't change people. You will only share telepathy and emotions later." They were both silents.
"Where will be bitten?" asked Hema.
"Anywhere as long as it's right in the veins so they can distribute fast-healing bacteria throughout your body," Theo replied. Rasya and Hema pursed their noses together.
"Okay, that's disgusting," said Hema. Theo laughed softly. "If you've ever watched a vampire movie, it's like that," he added.
"Here?!" Rasya pointed at her neck.
"You can, but if you're not comfortable, you can stay here," Theo pointed at his wrist. He continued. "It doesn't matter where they bite you."
Silence.
"I guess it's all right."
Rasya's voice broke the silence after a few minutes. She turned to Hema. "We just share this telepathy and emotion. Not things like sharp senses and stuff like them. And we don't turn into wolves and stuff."
But Hema still hesitated. "I still think this is a bad idea," Hema replied.
Rasya sighed. "Hema, we've been in a circle from the start. Sooner or later, we'll be dragged along too. Besides, you don't want to look at them? If you don't want to, that's fine. I'll be the omega and—"
"Okay, fine, I'm coming!" cut Hema right away.
"Uh, Hema, I don't think you need to force yourself..." Sadewa muttered. But Hema shook her head firmly. "No, Sadewa. It's okay. Rasya is right. From the start, I have also been in this circle. And if Rasya decides to agree. So am I," he answered firmly.
Sadewa smiled with crescent-shaped eyes. It was enough to make Hema's heart beat a clear 'boom-boom-boom-boom-boom', heard by all the werewolves in the room. It made Sadewa roll her eyes, and Nakula smiled.
Ah, don't forget the blush on Sadewa's cheeks.
"Thank you," Nakula said. His eyes gleamed mischievously, and Rasya replied with a smirk.
"Okay, you can bite them now. The sooner, the better, because I'm sure your parents are already very worried," Theo warned.
Sadewa and Nakula rose to the top at the same time. The two of them crouched down in front of the two smaller youths. But it sure looks awkward. "Uh... Where should we take a bite?"
Nakula's question sounded ambiguous and made Sadewa clear his throat.
'You stupid.'
Sadewa's voice crossed Nakula's mind, but Nakula ignored it and kept his smiling expression, albeit a bit shaky. The two youths in front of them glanced at each other, and Rasya answered.
"I think it's better here," Rasya pointed at her left wrist.
"Ah, yes. Will there be bite marks?" Hema asked Theo. Theo nodded. "Of course there is. But the traces can only be seen by other mythological creatures, not humans," replied Theo. Hema nodded in understanding.
"And, I forgot to tell. Supposedly, this biting ritual is done alternately. But because you are twins and the wolf inside you also share a twin bond, so you don't need to take turns biting. Just one person at a time," said Theo. The Andaru twins nodded.
"In that case, okay."
Nakula scratched his cheek and looked at Sadewa. He was confused.
'How to? Just take a bite. Who went first?'
Nakula launched all his questions via mind-link to Sadewa's head. Sadewa was confused, then looked at Hema and Rasya.
"Uh... You guys ready?" he asked.
Rasya and Hema nodded. However, it looks a bit dubious. Nakula and Sadewa looked at each other and then nodded at the same time.
"Just do it together?" asked Nakula.
Sadewa nodded. "Sorry," muttered Sadewa. Then he gently tugged Hema's arm. "Yeah, sorry," Nakula did the same.
And heard the sound of the heart beating many times clearly, replied. The hearts of the four youths who will carry out the biting ritual. Sadewa counted in her heart that Nakula could hear.
"Argh!"
"Ah!"
Nakula and Sadewa buried their canines into the wrists of the two youths who were smaller than them. They held on for a few seconds, passing self-healing bacteria to the two would-be omegas. They could feel the rusty taste of blood running down their tongues.
And as if he could understand, Theo spoke. "It's okay to swallow the blood in one gulp. It will build your bond even stronger."
And sure enough.
Nakula and Sadewa could feel the girl's emotions in front of each of them as if being hit hard. They both had the same emotions right now. A little bit afraid
Seconds later, on instinct, the Andaru twins released their bites in a half-moon line on the wrists of the two young men in front of them.
Then they both gasped.
"Akh..." Rasya spoke first, and Nakula could feel her wrist's fear, panic, and pain. Making Nakula move according to instinct when Rasya's body fell right into his arms because her consciousness disappeared.
Hema gasped again when she saw Rasya limp in Nakula's arms.
"What happened to Rasya?!" cried Hema, panicked.
"The reaction to each bite is different. Maybe her body is processing what happened, so she passed out, and you didn't. But maybe because of other things," Theo said, sounding mysterious.
"Other thing?" said Sadewa.
Theo just smiled and then turned back to Hema. "Now, look at your wound," Theo ordered.
"Try walking," Theo said. Reflexively, Sadewa immediately backed away and lifted up the training pants Hema was wearing and Theo immediately took over by opening the bandages around Hema's legs. And indeed, it appears that there is not the slightest scratch there.
Sadewa helped Hema up and muttered 'be careful' quietly, then held Hema, who took a few steps and then walked as usual. Hema turned to Theo with wide eyes.
"Like I've never been hurt before!" Hema exclaimed.
Theo smiled. Then he turned to Rasya, unconscious in Nakula's arms. Theo reached for the bandage on Rasya's head but stopped when he heard a low growl warning.
Nakula's eyes flashed goldenly.
His arms locked her very tightly in his arms. Made Theo chuckle and then rubbed Nakula's head, who brushed his hand away.
"As expected, you will be very protective of her. I promise I won't hurt her," Theo spoke softly, and his eyes flashed an electric blue. Nakula was still growling, backing away from Theo's reach, and making Sadewa intervene, and his eyes flashed goldenly.
"Nakula, Theo just wants to see Rasya's wound. It's okay," said Sadewa. Nakula looked at Sadewa, and two pairs of golden eyes met each other. But Sadewa could still feel Nakula's doubts. And...
And suddenly, Sadewa understood.
"It's okay, Nakula. He won't try to take Rasya from you," Sadewa's voice was made as soft as possible. More or less, Sadewa understands and has understood that his twin was very strongly tied to the tiny girl of Chinese descent in his arms. Unconscious.
"Right, I promise I just checked his head, nothing else," Theo raised his hands, and his eyes flashed blue. But Nakula was still unmoved. He stepped back even further, still growling with his fangs sticking between his lips.
He warned him not to come any closer.
"What if I check?" Hema said suddenly. "I'm Rasya's best friend, and Nakula knows that. So I guess it's okay, right?"
"But, in Nakula's current state, it won't be useful because Nakula doesn't want Rasya to be taken away from him. But it makes me think," Theo stroked his chin. Then he looked at Sadewa. "Sadewa, I think you can approach them because of your wolf bond and Nakula. I think you can check Rasya's wound," added Theo.
Sadewa immediately understood and walked slowly towards Nakula, who was still staring at them as if he could attack at any moment. Sadewa knelt before them, and the two pairs of golden eyes met again.
"Nakula, I'll check on Rasya's condition, okay?" Sadewa said slowly.
Nakula was silent, but his eyes did not leave Sadewa. Then he loosened his grip slowly. Sadewa smiled. "There you go, it's okay, buddy, it's just me," whispered Sadewa.
And finally, Nakula did let Sadewa, with his eyes turning back to two obsidian diamonds as dark as night. So is Sadewa.
Nakula blinked a few times, looking at Rasya, still asleep, with Sadewa's hand unwrapping the bandage around her head. Nakula digested what had just happened. Then he understood.
Oh my god.
Sadewa chuckled because she could feel Nakula's panic. But he smiled wider when he saw that the wound on Rasya's head had completely disappeared.
"The wound is gone!" He rubbed it slowly. Sadewa exclaimed and then patted his twin's head, who was still in shock.
"Good. Now just waiting for Rasya, and I'll take you home," Theo got up and left the room.
Nakula flinched in surprise, and he stared in horror. No, not because Theo would take them home. He was still in shock at what had just happened to him. Damn, he was in shock.
Sadewa chuckled again. "It wasn't on purpose, buddy. I think you did it on instinct." Sadewa chuckled again.
"B-but... Gosh, Alex," Nakula whispered in Korean at the end.
"Can any of you tell me what happened? I'm lost here!" cried Hema then.
Making Sadewa forget that Hema didn't understand what was going on. Ah, it looks like explaining what happened to Hema would be fun.
