Jake wake up, Jake wake up, you'll be late for school, the bus could come at any moment

Jake got up and said, "Mom, I had the same dream again that I was running with a girl and some thugs were chasing us, and they had guns in their hands."

"I don't have time to listen to all these stories Jake, I have to go open the store, come and have breakfast fast," said Jake's mother.

"Okay mom," Jake said

Jake is a high school student from Rivendell, Jake is 16 years old, but at this young age he lost his father, his father was a famous scientist named Roger, but one day he committed suicide, and no one knows what caused the suicide. Jake's mother Rose runs the family by opening a pastry shop

But Jake's family's finances are not so good, Rose's half of the money goes to Jake's education and the other half goes to pay off Jake's father's debt, leaving very little money in hand.

But Jake's mother is a strong woman because she never lets Jake know that these crises are going on in their family.

Jake's mother called Jake and said "Jake's bus has arrived"

Jake said, "yes mom ready I am, coming."

"Be careful, don't do anything wrong, study hard, Tata," Rose said to Jack

"Okay mom, love you, see you in the afternoon," Jake said

Jake's school name is Rivendell Town School and Jake's best friend's name is Alex, Jake doesn't have many friends at school, only Alex is his friend.

Alex called Jake when he got on the bus, "Come on, Jake, there's a seat for you."

Good morning Alex

Hey good morning Jake

Jake yells and said good morning to everyone but no one responded and everyone started laughing, Jake felt bad and sat down.

"You know they always insult you, then why do you insult yourself again and again by calling them," Alex said to Jake

The bus reached the school and everyone went to their classes

Alex and Jake have separate sections so Jake always has to sit alone in class and no one wants to sit with him

"Hello Jake, good morning can I sit here with you," said Angela, a girl from the class

Jake looked at the girl in shock because this was the first time Jake was being talked to by a girl

Jake said in a very soft voice, yes, yes, and yes, good morning

Angela smiled and said, "Why are you saying yes to me so many times, Jake?"

"No, it's my first time talking to a girl so I'm nervous," Jake mumbled

"Don't worry Jake we're friends from now on and I will sit with you from now on" Angela said kindly.

Jake thought to himself that "for the first time, someone had come and talked to me"

Then Angela and Jake went to 4th class together

Then the tiffin bell rang

Angela said to Jake "I am coming from the bathroom, you wait for me in the canteen and we will have tiffin together."

"Okay," Jake said

Jake went straight to the canteen and waited for Angela

Usually every day Jake eats his tiffin with Alex but today Alex had another extra class so Alex will be late for the tiffin

Then Angela came and sat down with Jake

"I didn't keep you waiting too long Jake?" Angela asked

"No, I came just a few minutes ago," Jake said with a smile

"So tell me why you don't have any friends," Angela asked

"I only have one friend, Alex, and I don't know why no one is friends with me, I haven't done anything wrong with them," Jake said

"I know why you don't have friends because you're a worthless son of a bitch just like your father because he is a mad maniac scientist too," Angela said and laughed at Jake very evilly

Jake was shocked to hear what Angela said, he wondered why she changed like that and why she was talking about his father like that

"My father was a famous scientist and he made many things in Rivendell, so don't say anything about my father without knowing it," Jake said angrily

"Oh is that so you dickhead your father was a worthless scientist working for my father and then one day he cheated my father and ran away from all work," Henry said this very badly to Jake

"And yes I told Angela to tell you these things because everyone should know how much of pathetic you are, Jake" Henry said laughing at Jake

Henry and his gang came to the canteen to insult Jake for no reason because Henry is a rich brat and Jake's father worked for his father and Henry dislikes Jake so much for a reason

"Why do you always do this to me, Henry? My mother is slowly paying off my father's debt to your father" Jake said

"That doesn't change the fact that your father was a cheater and a murderer, and I will never forgive him for killing my mother," Henry said

"Don't call him a murderer Henry; I know my father isn't a killer and the police didn't have any evidence against him." Jake sobbed and uttered

"If he is innocent, why did he choose to hang himself? Tell me, you motherfucker, because he was a murderer and a coward." Henry said

Jake punched Henry because he was unable to resist

"How dare you, you fucking piece of shit" Henry yelled

"Truth always hurts you fucker," Henry remarked after taking the hit and spitting some blood out of his mouth

After that, Henry orders his group to beat Jake, and two of them grab hold of his hand, Henry then kicks Jake in the stomach, tosses him into the mud with that kick, and holds onto Jake while continuing to hit him in the face.

Jake is sobbing, and everyone is shouting, "Jake's father was a murderer, Jake's father was a murderer."

Jake tells himself, My father was not a murderer, my father was not a murderer and sobs.

"Stay away from him, you rich jackass," Alex said as he pushed Henry away from Jake.

"Oh look, Jake's only true fucking friend has arrived, but Alex, I'm afraid you can't save Jake today because he punched me, and you know what happens when someone disrespects me." Alex was yelled at by Henry

"Get Alex, and you motherfucker Jake, you're dead," Henry said.

Alex beats Henry's goons and grabs Henry, telling Jake, "I'm holding him, Jake, you run away, Jake runs away."

Jake flees from there, and many of Henry's goons try to apprehend him, but he pushes them away and runs straight toward Rivendell Forest.

Jake recalls his mother telling him that he should never go to that forest, but this time he must disobey her.

"Where did that fucker go?" Henry asks his goons after breaking free from Alex.

"He went straight to the Forest," they said.

"That's fun, let's go," Henry laughs, "I'll kill him for his father's sins."

Jake was sprinting erratically and didn't stop until he reached the forest.

He abruptly stops running since he has no idea where to go in the dense forest, and if he gets lost there, he will have to deal with a lot of dangerous animals

Then he noticed Henry and his two friends approaching him and

"They must be beating Alex as well; it's all my fault," Jake admitted guiltily

Jake quickly noticed a sign that said "Go This Way."

Jake assumed that the purpose of these signs must be to help those who came scouting in the forest to recall the route.

Jake continued to run in that direction without pausing to consider his direction as he passed more of the identical "go this way" signs.

"Where did he go, I saw him coming to this side," Henry said

"Henry, leave him; it's getting dark, and I've heard this forest is cursed, so I'm scared," Henry's friend advised.

Henry yelled fiercely, "Shut up, you fucker, I am not going anywhere, that motherfucker punched me, I will murder him today."

"All right, let's split, Mike go that way, Joe go that way, and I'll go this way, and if you guys see him, just call me okay," Henry ordered

While Jake was following that sign, he kept running but there was no end in sight, and after 20 minutes of running, he stopped and felt extremely tired.

Jake notices a house between three trees, and the "go this way" sign comes to an end there.

"That means this house must be a scout shelter, and there will be someone to assist me," Jake stated.

Jake then walks towards the house

When Jake went to open the door, he saw that it was already open

"I'm sorry I trespassed into your home, but I need your assistance, Hi, anyone," Jake calls out to see if anyone is there, but nobody answered.

"This place appears like a lab or something because there are so many technological and lab-related items here, but I guess it's an abandoned place where no one lives now." Jake thinks himself

Jake then noticed a desk with a picture of someone on it, that was covered in dirt. He removed the muck to reveal the picture.

"What the fuck??? It's Dad, what's his photo doing here?" Jake stated very shockingly

Jake couldn't believe his eyes for a moment, so he stared at the photo for a moment to confirm it was his father.

"What is the meaning of Father's photograph in this house? Is this his lab or something else? My mother never told me about it "Jake stated

Jake heard a disturbance outside, and when he looked out the window, he saw that Henry and his men were approaching the house carrying sticks.

"Oh my, I have to bolt the door or they're going to kill me today," Jake stated

Jake locks the door, but Henry notices him doing so and rushes to the door, beating on it to open it.

Jake was terrified and began to wriggle in anxiety.

"They're going to kill me; what should I do now? I don't want to die; please help me "Jake emphasized his fear.

"Wait you bastard, I am coming for you," Henry yelled as he began beating on the door to shatter it.

Jake said, looking at his father's image, "Is it true, Father, that you are a murderer? I don't think you're a killer; please help me with something."

Suddenly, a room opened with the words "go this way" scrawled on the door.

Jake entered the room believing that his father was assisting him in his escape.

But as soon as he entered the room, the door closed automatically, and Jake felt the room spinning. After a few seconds, the room began spinning very fast, and after a few minutes, it began spinning at lightning speed. Jake's body also began spinning from this side to the other, his body weight suddenly dropped, and he was suddenly flying through the air from the spin

After the spin, Jake collapsed and later

Someone said, "Hey dude, get up, you are intruding in my room."

When the spinning stopped, Jake slowly came to consciousness. But, there is something strange about the room because the last time he saw it, it was covered in muck and it was empty. Now, however, it is full of books, a bed, and a closet, and he can see a young child his age screaming at him.

Jake assumed he is in a dream

Suddenly that boy poured water on Jake's face to rouse him up

As Jake finally opened his eyes, he asked, "Where am I?"

That boy yelled, "You are in Rivendell and you are intruding on my house."

"My house!! you are entirely mistaken, this is my dad's lab....." Jake instantly felt stunned

"What exactly is this? How did you obtain this poster? My father used to like this music band, and we have the same poster in our house, although it's from the 1980s; did you like this band as well?" Jake questioned the child.

"Are you a moron? There is a new poster that I received yesterday, and this band is performing at my school today "the youngster said

Jake abruptly questions the boy after hearing this.

"Hey, what year is it? I'm not sure why I'm asking, but this doesn't sound right. You looked like an 80s kid, and everything in your room, including this watch, looks like it's from the 1980s, so please tell me what year this is." Jake inquired, a little cautiously.

"This is 1982, and my name is Roger you, freak, now go out of my house because if my mother sees you, she will make a big disturbance," Roger added.

Jake's mind goes on a rollercoaster after hearing this; he has no idea how this happened, but he travels back in time from 2023 to 1982, to the same area, and he is in front of his father's young self.
