Bestow Me a Love Like Wind

In the garden of a European styled mansion on top of a hill.

Just when Gu Qingqing wanted to step into the mansion, her best friend, Li Youyou called her.

"Youyou, what's up?"

"What do you mean by what's up? Do you know the playboy, Leng Sicheng got himself another woman again? That celebrity is from our company. And her name is Chen Wenjie."

"I know. I saw her just now."

"What? You saw her?! Why didn't you slap her?!"

"Why would I do that? Leng Sicheng will always look for other women. Throughout our three years of marriage, Leng Sicheng would get a woman every three months! He is close to having a room filled with concubines. It wouldn't make sense if I go and confront all of them."

"But, you can't just stand there and let it happen, right?"

"Youyou, you know the reason why Leng Sicheng married me. It's not because of love. It's because of…"

"So what? It's his job to take care of your welfare since he married you!"

"My brother fought with someone last night. And, he was asked to pay 300,000."

Li Youyou was left speechless when she heard what had happened to Gu Qingqing's brother.

"300,000. He managed to settle the problem with only one phone call. My brother is the one that owed the money. The only person that could help him is me. To be honest with you, I'm actually really grateful to him. If it wasn't for me, my brother would have been locked away in prison now."

"Your mom and brother are really…"

"We will talk soon. I have to go and deal with a troublesome client!"

Before they got married, they made a deal. Gu Qingqing was not allowed to ask about his personal matters or rumors. She did not have the right to end the marriage as well.

It was 8.30 at night.

Royal Strike Entertainment had organized a celebrities' charity night. Countless aristocratic women turned up at this event. Standing in the hallway, Gu Qingqing could not help but frown. She could hear the relaxing music and people talking in the ballroom. Earlier, she had received a call from her team. They told her that they had come across an incredibly troublesome client. The client was demanding and hard to please. He demanded to talk about business right here at this place.

Though she knew that her husband was the one that organized this charity event, she had no other choice but to attend it. It had been half an hour since the event begun, he should be here by now if he wished to come here. Inside Gu Qingqing's heart, she was hoping that she would not meet him here.

After taking deep breaths, she heard the doors of the ballroom being pushed open. She then started to look around. Unfortunately, she was unable to locate her client. Instead, she heard people started to talk about Leng Sicheng's exotic encounter.

"Have you heard? I heard that Leng Sicheng is with another woman again. This time, she is a rising star and her name is Chen Wenjie."

"I'm not surprised. I'm pretty sure that he will change to another woman in three months!"

"So what? He is Leng Sicheng! He is powerful and rich enough to make someone famous! Car, house, and jewelry will come to you like water once you get together with him. And the most important thing is he is really handsome!"

"He can do whatever he wants outside but he still has a wife at home."

"A wife? She is just lucky! With her background, I can't believe that she could marry him! There are no wedding photos or a diamond ring. They have been married for three years and I don't see them with any children! I believe their marriage will end soon!"

Gu Qingqing walked past them but she was not bothered by what they had said at all. She then walked towards the sofa in the ballroom and greeted a middle-aged man.

"Hi. Are you President Huang? I'm the person in charge of Ming Cheng Creations."

He was disgruntled that someone had come to bother him. Immediately, he turned around with his brows furrowed. It was at that time he realized that a gorgeous woman was talking to him. Her slim waist, elegant long legs, and curly hair had caught his attention completely. Her crystal clear eyes made her look even more attractive. Just when President Huang wanted to get to know her more, he heard people talking and gathered around at the front entrance.

Gu Qingqing was so panicked that she lowered her head when she saw the man that walked past the entrance.

It was Leng Sicheng!

And, there was a woman walking right beside him. She was his rumored girlfriend—Chen Wenjie. Leng Sicheng's stare was ice-cold. He did not bother to talk or greet the people that approached him. All he cared about was getting to a sofa nearby to sit.

As for Chen Wenjie, she was sitting right beside him. With that wide smile on her face, it seemed like she was trying to tell everyone that she was close to Leng Sicheng. 

Before Leng Sicheng's arrival, Gu Qingqing quickly moved away from the sofa. She must not let him know that she was here. Suddenly, she could feel pain coming from her wrist. A familiar hand was grabbing her wrist. It was Leng Sicheng!

Her back started to perspire and soon it was covered in sweat. Leng Sicheng was sitting on the sofa emotionless when he saw her. It was as if he had not met her before. She kept on trying to free her hand from Leng Sicheng but in vain. She could feel the force around her wrist was getting stronger and stronger. If this continued, her bones might be crushed by him.

"Hand! My hand!" said Gu Qingqing in alarm.

She then mustered all her strength and tried to free herself of Leng Sicheg. To her surprise, Leng Sicheng suddenly let go of her wrist and she almost fell to the ground because of that. In order to make sure that others would not know that they were husband and wife, she thanked him.

"CEO Leng, thank you."

"CEO Leng? Miss, you look really familiar? Have we met?" asked Leng Sicheng with a wicked smile.

Though he was smiling, she could still feel that his face was getting darker and darker.

"No. No. This is the first time we've met!" said Gu Qingqing while shaking her head with an awkward smile on her face.

At the side, Leng Sicheng's eyes were getting darker and darker. And his lips were curving into an arch. After knowing him for so long, Gu Qingqing knew that this was the sign before a storm. Before she could say anything about it, Chen Wenjie extended her arm and circled around Leng Sicheng's arm. It was as if she was trying to tell Gu Qingqing that Leng Sicheng belonged solely to her.

"CEO Leng, aren't you going to introduce this lady to me?" Chen Wenjie asked while checking Gu Qingqing out.

"Didn't you hear what she told us? She's just a stranger!"
