Chapter 13: Benita 10,000

A colorful wormhole filled his vision. Reaching the end. The bright light. Took whole.

"HAAA-" Will sits up with haste hitting his head against the ceiling. "ACK!!" He lay on his side in pain. "Ugh! Ok." He looks around the environment.

The sun bleeds from the cracked blinds touching. The black and red carpet design of an orange diamond.

His eyes landed on the cracked blinds staring at the plains leading to a lake.

He patted himself down, not in Frigid's body. Before noticing Mar's prowess on his wrist.

The boy got up from the bunk and slid open the curtains. Revealing the front of the RV to be empty. "Max?" He knocks on the bathroom door before opening it. No one. The boy paced while the silence filled his ears. "Gwen?" Will called before opening the RV door leading to the plains and lake: giving him full view. "Ben?" He called, but no one.

A golden ring opens in front of the RV door, causing the boy to flinch into a battle stance.

A figure in a black hood stood in the portal, surrounded by crates and a forklift. The hood stood quietly and menacingly while the boy squinted his eyes.

The Stranger took a step before Will took a step back.

"Uh...hello?" The boy speaks before The Stranger speeds walk toward him, holding his hand out. "WAIT!!! WAIT!!" He felt the collar of his shirt pulls him from the RV.

He crashed onto the concrete before staring up at the portal.

The Stranger rushes him, the ring closed.

The boy pushed from the sun shining on the smooth grey walkway. He pats himself before watching a hovercar fly over his head.

The boy's eyes never left it before mumbles of voices filled his hearing. Will snapped to it to see Aliens and humans walking among one another.

The boy's breath grew heavy, getting the attention of onlookers.

"...WHAT THE HELL!!!!" The boy roared. They all look in shock.

"Watch your language, young man!" An alien made up of green goo walks away, leaving him confused.

The boy's eyes grew hallowed as he gazed around the new environment.

"Hey, there. Son." Will looks back to an old seller with a table selling bracelets. "Come here. Come here." The old seller beckoned. "I wanna get a good look at ya." Will hesitantly approaches the old seller. "Hmm, oh!" He grabs his wrist.

"Hey!" He pulled his arm back.

"I see you hold Mar's Prowess."

"What?" The boy eyed a human: and a grey elve conversating. They walk past their interaction.

"Ah! You were the kid in Expo!!!" The Old seller leans back on his chair, clapping while he laughs. The boy grew terrified. "You're guessing what this old fart has to say bout that bracelet." Will eyed Mar's Prowess.

"Go for it."

"Hmm...if I remembered correctly. It increases your endurance by eight times and your overall damage by five. You're one lucky. Raccoon."

"I'm not. A raccoon." Will said firmly.

"But, you're eye said differently." He laughs. The boy quickly closes his eye. "Seller to a friend, I recommend keeping that eye in check. You don't want unwanted attention."

"Well, I'm glad you told me this. And this reunion...I'm gonna go." He leaves.

"Have fun!"

The boy begins pacing down the walkway, eyeing the row of buildings consisting of entertainment, apartments, and restaurants.

He noticed A human eating from a bowl of noodles before slurping a purple tentacle into his mouth. The boy cringed before staring ahead.

Will eyed a roadblock ahead consisting of a two-way street is available for the crowd of bypassers. The boy stopped in front of the hologram caution site representing multiple languages.

"Alright and Perfect!" The boy eyed a grey matter alien a few feet from him: and the hologram sign. He noticed a woman with black hair. She has her hands stretched out while the rubble places itself back on the damaged hole of the building. "Marco." The grey matter said while a young man fired a wave of flames from his hands, melting it into melted rock.

The earth bender kept it in place.

"Crazy. Isn't it?" Will turned to the voice, a shoulder from him to a stone humanoid with his arms crossed. "With so many fights lately, Why do the criminals try?" He sighs before walking away.

The boy looked back at the site before taking the left path.

Glover Street.

"I see you brought help." The head in the jar attaches to Gorilla's body. Slams his knuckle against the floor, creating an echo.

Mature Fourarms with her brown ponytail hanging to her shoulders, Stinkfly(Benita), and Gwen and Gwen(Future) watch while he smirks.

"But, it won't help you because I'll create an army of thousands of aliens!"

"Nice dialogue." Stinkfly comments. "Do you ever seek help from a therapist?" She flies toward him, yet she smacks away by Doctor Animo.

She crashes into Fourarms while Gwendolyn's hands glow.

"Lee a Hira!!" She fires a beam as Animo rips the metal from the floor and uses it like a shield. It reflects, hitting Gwendolyn. Gwen raced after her.

Fourarms growls and traps Stinkfly's tail in between the railing on the floor.

"Butt, out!!!" Mature Fourarms shout before she charges at her opponent while Stinkfly struggles.

"Hey! Hey! You can't do that. I'm you!" Fourarms and Doc. Animo trades blows, landing heavy hitters.

"HA!" Dr.Animo shouts before He goes to crush her with his arms, but Fourarms catches it.

Spitter takes her place and spits green goo causing Animo to stumble back.

Diamond's head punches the ground summoning a path of diamond his way.

"Uh...me?" Gwen questioned as she noticed Gwendolyn sitting on the ground calmly. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine." Her future self planted her chin against her arms, watching the one-sided fight.

"She could use your help." Gwen snaps her head to the fight.

"She's fine. Ben prefers it that way." She rollings her arm with a grunt.

Doc Animo slams a claw-hand on Diamondhead, yet Buzzshocks tags in.

"KA!" She fires a bolt, hitting Animo, that crashes into a pod spilling dirty water.

Still walking down the street.

Will walked around the streets and noticed a boy that hovered past him with a hoverboard.

"Awesome." He said under his breath before a voice shouted.

"Look out!!!" Will turns to be hit in the face.

"AGH!" The boy fell on his back, hitting the street. Another loud thud filled his ears before something grinding came to a halt.

"Jackie!" Another voice and groaning filled his ears. Will sits up, clenching his head. "Girl! Please be alright!" The boy noticed a few eyes lingering on them.

"I'm glad you care." The girl groans. Suddenly steps filled the boy's ears as he continued wincing at the head-pounding pain. A hand pressed on his shoulder. "Are you ok?!" Will eyed a crouching figure only to notice blue pupils staring back at him.

"I'm fine." He grunts.

"Taking a hoverboard going full speed could take your head off." The girl sighed, relieved he noticed her short jet black hair escaped from her black toboggan.

"Slow down. Do you see yourself?" Jackie's friend called out as the boy noticed the road rash on her arm. "Let's go see your auntie." The boy suggested while Jackie moved Will's arms before recoiling her head.

"Good news! You're going to be fine." Jackie smirks. "Bad news! You're going to have a headache or memories lost." She chuckled, grunting as she pulled Will to his feet.

"Agh! I think I lost a few brain cells." Will added.

"I'm sorry! Don't add salt to the wound!"

"Come on, I got your board." Jackie's friend stated, approaching the two with boards in hand. "Besides. You have a reputation to keep." He whispered to Jackie for Will to hear.

They gazed at the crowd, mumbling and watching their every move.

"Right." She said under her breath with a sigh before following her friend. "Don't fall too behind." Will gazed at the crowd before following after them holding his head. "As I said, I'm sorry for knocking you into another universe."

"It's fine. I dealt with worst." This gains the two futuristic children's attention. "What?"

"Is your parents hitting you?" Jackie questioned.

"No!"

"You being bullied?"

"God! No."

"Wait." Jackie's friend starts up, getting their attention. "This is a stretch, but are you playing vigilante?" Will only squinted his eyes. "You are!" Jackie's friend's eyes opened.

"No. I'm not!" The boy rubs his head, grunting his teeth.

"Alright, that's enough." Jackie sighs. "Let's give him some breathing room. Ha! I forgot! I'm Jackie. While this Devlin." She points to the kid, that nod.

Will eyed the two before his glances grew focused on Devlin.

"So!" Jackie's energetic voice gathers the boy's attention. "Care to share?"

"It's Will."

"Sup, Will. Why you're eye close, mate?"

"Uh, lazy eye." Jackie stares intently, causing Will to sweat.

"That's fine." She shrugs as they continue walking.

Will gazed at the path ahead only to come to a halt.

A man statue stood tall. His taken eyes are like Will's. Shaggy hair reaches his brow as the leather glove can be seen slipping over his dead veined- hand while his eyes wander elsewhere.

Will panting increased as he eyed every feature on the statue.

"Hey! Hey!" Jackie voiced, grabbing his shoulder before looking back at the statue. She looked back at him wide-eyed.

She forced his eye open, causing Will to stumbled back. He quickly blocks it with his hand.

Suddenly a loud thud gains their attention while Delvin hovers away.

A golden ring opens behind Will as a figure stumbles to a stop.

"You're not supposed to see that...Will." The hood woman noticed Jackie's horror eyes. She remained quiet while Will noticed charms inserted along her arm. "Jackie."

"H-how?!" Jackie roared. "Why is he here?!"

"I'll explain when we get back to HQ." She sighs, throwing off her hood.

"Gwen?" Will questioned, staring at the Mature Gwen before him.

"I go by Gwendolyn, now. Trust me, I want to leave you in your timeline, but that'll be too problematic. Come, the others are waiting."

"Others?" Will and Jackie questioned.

Gwendolyn opened a golden ring, presenting a bright room with a console only for XLR8 to company it. She was currently looking from her work at someone crying out of joy.

"Get down from there!" She demanded.

"Ha! Make me." Benita voiced, getting Will to race through the portal. "HAAA!" She hits the floor while XLR8 carries the board. "You're such a jerk!"

"Nothing is supposed to be 'fun' You'll find out..." She noticed Will, Jackie, and Gwendolyn exited from the ring that soon closed. A blue line stops appearing in front of Jackie, revealing XLR8, pointing her metal claws to a hallway where the portal; Last stood. "TO YOUR ROOM!!!" She shouts, surprising everyone but Gwendolyn.

"No." Jackie glares, folding her arms. XLR8 squinted her eyes.

"I'm not asking."

"And I'm not leaving."

"Jackie. Please." Gwendolyn said softly. Jackie squinted her eyes at Gwendolyn before pacing down the hall.

"Do you know what damage you've done?!" XLR8 roared at Gwendolyn. "Take them back!"

"I can't. Do that." Gwendolyn argued. "Someone is targeting him."

"Seriously?" A familiar voice filled Will's ears while Gwen stood within his vision. "Are you hurt?" She does a body check before her eyes land on his head.

"I'm. Fine." Will said, backing away from Gwen only to follow him. "Agh! I said. Was fine!" He said firmly, getting Gwen to jolt away.

The boy's headache ceased as he noticed a golden beam coming from Gwendonlyn's palm. He felt his clothes flattered.

The boy notices Future XLR8. Towering over him, he could see his reflection from her visor.

"Did you get a glance?" She asked in a low tone.

"No, it was in a hood."

"You're life is no joking matter. There is-"

"That's what I'm telling you! I don't know what's behind that hood! All I know is it different yet familiar!" XLR8 studied Will's features confusing the past Tennyson's. "How did I-?"

She dashes to a stationed computer, typing rapidly.

"It's Benita ten thousand or Ben. Which one do you prefer?" Gwendolyn states before heading through the hall where Jackie left.

"She is ten thousand. Alright." Benita stood by Will.

"The only thing I'm getting is she's acting like myself back at my transfer days." Will adds while future XLR8 slows down and returns to her 'normal' speed.

"What's wrong with you? You're being all passive-aggressive."

"Oh, I don't know. Ben, Is it the fact? THAT I'M DEAD!!"

Future XLR8 slams her claws against the computer console.

"Silence." Future XLR8 resumes her work while the boy gazed never leaves her back.

"Hey!" Benita whispered, getting the boy's gaze. He noticed her short brown hair. "What's with you and that girl awhile ago?"

"We had a run-in. I was exploring this city." Will stated as he gazed back at Future XLR8. "Jackie is her name, and judging by her reaction, I'm either her uncle, mentor, or..." The boy paused.

"Let's not. Assume." Gwen whispered. "Ok?"

"Yeah. You're right." Will said under his breath before folding his arms.

"I would love to get out and explore." Benita comments.

"Not happening." Future XLR8 voiced as the children heard steps approaching them from behind. Gwendolyn stood before them. "Sit there, and I'll get to the bottom of it."

"How's Jackie?" Will questioned.

"She's fine." Gwendolyn sighs. They noticed Gwendolyn's eyes stare directly above them before staring down at them.

The alarm blared as a red light flashed.

"Sector 1: Sequence A." A voice called from the room. "Repeat. Sector 1: Sequence A."

"What's that?!" Benita gazed around the room.

"..It's right. Below us." Gwendolyn states. "The Null Void Projector!"

Future XLR8 speeds out of the room while Grid collects Benita and Gwen under his arms.

"Keep up!" Grid states before racing out of the room.

Gwendolyn flew after the two.

Grid appeared by future XLR8 in the hall, noticing Doctor Animo. Blocking the door.

"Ah! Welcome!"

"Out of my way!" Future XLR8 points.

"Make me!" He gives a sinister grin.

"Fine." Grid drops Benita and Gwen to their feet before dashing headfirst at Doctor Animo before he leaps, shifting Red Riot.

His hair and eyes grew electrified.

He shoulder tackles Doctor Animo through the door and crashes.

The red skin teen rolled to his hands and knees.

Red Riot notices a blue skin woman in black calibrating the Null Void Projector.

Future XLR8 dashed, taking the woman's spot. The blue skin woman falls onto her shoulder before rolling to her feet.

"I don't think. So Jessica." She re-calibrated the projector while Future Jessica grunted. "This ends. Now."

The Towering figure goes to stomp on XLR8, yet she dodges in time. She grew surprised like the rest.

"No...this is only just. The beginning." Vilgax states, with a large arm rushing to swipe at XLR8 10'000. Yet she backsteps.

Diamondhead 10'000 tags in, shooting shards at Vilgax that block the attack with his enlarged arm. He grabs her face and hurls her through the wall. Giving chase.

"Will. Take Jess." Benita ordered while scanning through her dial. "Gwen's take Animo while I get even with Vilgax."

"Aw, man." Upgrade flew through a made-hole with the hoverboard after her counterpart.

The Gwen's dealt with Animo while Red Riot and (Future) Jessica circled each other.

"You look familiar." Future Jessica. Yellow reptilian-like eyes stare through Red riot's gaze.

"You have." Red Riot states glaring before appearing Rogue. "No idea." He sprints.

Rouge throws punches while Future Jessica slaps his strikes down, backing up.

Rogue jumps from the ground doing a spin hook kick while Jessica dives under to roll on her back. She spun on her back before kicking Rogue off his feet.

'You look like you need help.' A voice whispered in the boy's head. Rogue noticed Future Jessica's heel of her black boot coming at him. Rogue rolls from the radius, gaining distance.

'I'm not the one to judge...' Jessica rolls on her back and to her feet.

'I'm fine.' The boy states within his head while Rogue clenches his fists.

Future Jessica does a butterfly kick, forcing Rogue back. She began throwing fast kicks that Rogue dodged, barely before he grabbed her kick aimed at his side. Jessica used her other foot to kick the green man across his face.

Rogue stumbled back with a wince.

"I see." The blue shapeshifter stands to her feet. "Will. It seems I'm only facing your novice."

'And your reputation is gone.' The same voice whispered, causing Rogue to growl.

The green alien in tights rushes at Jessica throwing punches and kicks that she easily: dodge. Rogue throws a haymaker while Jessica hurls Rogue to the ground.

"I'll give you a word of advice." Jessica started while Rogue grunted, rolling to his hands and knees. "Don't kill my brother."

Inaubliable voices filled the boy's head as the edges of his vision glowed blue. Rogue glared up at her before rushing her.

They begin throwing punches and counters at one another: staying: equally matched.

'Ajax! Don't let your anger cloud your judgment.' A male voice ordered.

"What are you, train by ninjas?" Rogue questioned while He grabbed her kick and hurled her aside.

"I had a mentor." Jessica grunts with a smirk. She stands to her feet. She pulls a metal rod from her back that turns into a staff.

Rogue blinked, seeing the green-skinned teen in front of him, posing like Jessica with a wooden staff. The others surrounded them, fighting their partners with varied weapons.

He blinks once more, seeing Jessica twirl her metal staff.

"Now. Surprised me!" She rushes.

She attacks Rogue with her staff. He dodges each one while he grunts.

The green teen spins on his feet while twirling his wooden staff behind his back before slamming it against Rogue arm.

He winces.

"You feel that? Ignore it!" The ordering voice filled his ears.

He redirects the attacks with his forearms until she spins, aiming for his hip. Rogue caught it. And shoulder tackled her back.

The green teen and Jessica stumble back. She and Him glared while they twirled their staff.

Rogue came at them.

He punches, yet Jessica blocks with her staff.

Rogue kicks the teen away.

"RAAAGH!!!!" Jessica roared before leaping. She begins hitting his forearms, protecting his head. She got faster while Rogue grew numb.

'AJAX!' The ordering voice filled his head once more.

Rogue grabs the staff and leans it to the side, elbowing her nose; leaving her open. "Yaaa!" He spins, knocking her off her feet with the staff. She hits her back with a groan.

Rogue spins the metal staff in his hands before stopping the end of it from hitting her face. Jessica looks up at him while the inaudible voices cease.

Rogue stood to his feet before gazing at the staff. He tosses it to Jessica. That caught it.

He nodded at Jessica before looking at Gwen, flying toward Doctor Animo. That planted her shoe onto his head jar, backflipping from the stumbling Doctor.

Gwendolyn rushes and kicks Animo's chest with her foot, radiating a fiery golden aura.

Animo falls on his back before the head jar and tries to break an escape.

"See? Karate is useful." Gwendolyn comments while Gwen smirks at herself. The future Gwen rushes the controls to the Null void before shutting it off.

Rogue looks at his arms, smeared with purple blood.

A wormhole opens by Doctor Animo's gorilla body, revealing The Hood at the end of the gate.

"That's...it." Rogue stumbles back while Gwendolyn stares in shock.

It steps out while the portal closes. Its board shoulders peaking from the hoodie, they recognize it was a male.

"Ben! Calling in back up!" Gwendolyn shouts while The Stranger paces toward Rogue. "Da Pal STALA!!" She shoots a gold beam while The Hood shifts FeedBack absorbing her power.

The cold stare from FeedBack aims his fingers at Rogue. His finger fires up before unleashing a beam of his own.

A blue line dodges it. Exiting through the made-hole, Vilgax created.

Feedback glances at Gwendolyn and Gwen; they stumbled back.

He walks out of the made-hole, watching the blue-line run through the streets.

...

Grid races down the street, passing civilians.

The blue speedster hears crackling above him. He looks up, noticing FeedBack grinding on the power lines above him.

He leaps while the blue speedster increases his speed, dodging the electrical shockwave released from his fingers. Scaring the civilians away.

"That was." Grid states. "Close!!!" His body paused, glowing. Causing him to levitate. Gravattack gestures his hand toward himself. Grid flew in his direction, swinging his arms about. "No!"

Gravattack pulled his fist back.

A fireball explodes in his face.

"Hmph!" Gravattack grunts while Grid rolls onto the ground a foot away from him. Cannonbolt zooms past Grid rolling in a ball. She slams into Gravaattack. Gravaattacks flies. "Aaah!!" He shifts into JetRay, getting his bearings.

"Ka ka kaAAAAA!" A thunderbolt escapes from Buzzshock and towards Jetfly.

Jetfly dodges and fires a beam from his forehead. Cannonbolt collects Grid and rolls from the attack.

Nothing but darkness and light breathing filled his ears before he escaped stumbling on the balls on his feet.

Grid noticed he was in an alleyway.

"What going on?!" A familiar voice says as he looks back at Cannonball.

"That guy is after my head, and he shifts like me!!"

"Impossible, you were the only one who took the blast!" Cannonball clenches her head. "No way, this can't be happening!"

"Haaaaaa!!!" Grid and Cannonball noticed Diamondhead 10'000 flew past the alley.

She crashes on her back against concrete, leaving a trail among the walkway.

Fourarms cracks his neck approaching Diamondhead 10'000.

"Where's Will?" Fourarms said calmly.

"What's the point." Diamondhead's 10'000 grunts before standing to her feet. "In ruining the surprise?" Spidermonkey leaps on Four arms back. He stumbles: around while she crawls around his body, applying the webbing like a cacoon.

Impulse, jack his neck while Diamondhead 10'000 tags Echo Echo.

"HAAAAA!!!" They scream a colorful yet strong soundwave. Spider-Monkey leaps from Four arms and into an alley covering her ears. The wave hits him and pushes him back. He grunts.

"Haa!" He breaks from the webbing. And breaks the piece of the ground and hurls it at the sonic boomers.

They dive from the attack.

"De la ta!" An enchanting voice states as A golden beam hits his back.

Fourarms looks back, seeing Gwen's charging. He looks to his right, seeing Impulse, Spider-monkey, and Echo Echo standing their ground, cornering him.

A portal behind Fourarms opened while he walked through.

Leaving everyone daze.

...

"Happy 80th birthday, grandpa!" Future Benita, with her comb-over hair and robotic left arm, states while showing the cake.

The four approach it.

"Wait? Where's Grandpa?" Gwen questioned while Benita 10'000 turned her back, cutting the cake. Will noticed Gwendolyn place a hand on her past self.

"He's at a better place." Gwen and Benita staggered before looking back at Future Benita approaching the cousins.

"Yeah." She said softly. "We usually celebrate his birthday, but I got too immense in my work." She cocked her lip before landing eyes with Will's. "Morphing Time! You want any?"

Will break from his silence. "Is it strawberries?"

"You know it."

"Don't get greedy!" Benita takes a bite of her cake while speaking with her mouth full. "And I'm looking at you me." She points her fork while Benita 10'000 chuckles.

Benita follows herself and Will, approaching the cake.

Gwen and her future self watched.

"You know we just fought a stranger that can possibly appear anytime...but. We're having. Cake." Gwen said to herself.

"That. Gwen." Gwendolyn starts. "Is an excellent point." She smirks down at Gwen while she gives one right back.

The golden portal opens to the RV that they left.

The kids in the past gazed at the ring.

"Hey, Penny." Benita gazed at her future self that began approaching them. She took a knee before grasping her shoulder. "I like to say that your grandpa is not bad." Benita squinted her eyes. "Trust me, you keep hating him now. You're going to regret it later."

Benita gazed to the ground while Benita 10'000 grabbed Benita's hand before placing a box with a button on top of it.

"Press it. When you see your Grandpa."

Future Benita stood to her feet before crouching in front of the boy. She hugs Will. The boy's eyes shook as he gazed over Future Benita's shoulder at everyone. He noticed Gwendolyn's sad gaze pouring from her eyes.

"Thank you." Future Benita whispered while Will looked at her hair. "For everything." She said slowly while the boy's arms moved on their own, wrapping around her. He rested his head against hers.

His shaky eyes land on the bystander squinting their eyes. Benita goes to break from the boy only to be held tight.

"Whoa." Benita 10'000 voiced. "You love hugs don't you?"

"I'm not doing that."

"Ok. Ok. Tiger." She escapes from his death grip. "Save that for the girls over there." Will blushed, looking to the ground. Benita stood to her feet. "Well, don't let us hold you up."

"Right." The boy noticed Benita and Gwen entered the ring. The boy followed.

"DAD!" A voice cried. Will looked back at Jackie sprinting past Gwendolyn and Benita 10'000. He noticed her eyes watering. "Please!" Her voice cracked. "Please don't go!"

Will felt his heart beating out of his chest.

"Dad?"

"I want to hate you!" She bites her lips only for them to escape, quivering. "Tell me! Why did he leave?"

"I can't answer that." The boy felt his lip shiver. "He's somewhere. Watching over you." He smirks before heading through the ring.

"Wait!" The ring closes.

"Will. Hold still." Gwen states approaching him.

"What?" The boy questioned as he felt her thumb brush against his cheek. Will stumbled back. "I'm crying?" His voice breaks while he quickly wipes away the tears.

"Anthony!" A familiar voice states, they noticed. Max, carrying chopped wood. "I'm glad you are on your feet." He squinted his eyes while the boy hid his gaze. "Is this not the time?"

"Happy Birthday! Grandpa!" Gwen and Benita chant as the boy notices a cake in the cousin's hands.

"It's not even my birthday."

"Ah. Just think of it as an appreciation gift." Gwen states with a smile.

Max's gaze lands on Benita with a smirk. He smirks back.
