Training (1)

I lay in my bed thinking if the chat that I had with the three mothers of the orphanage. They had been worried about me and yet I had just disappeared. I had made them worry and something did happen to me. Karma was a bitch through and through.

I had talked with them about my fight at school. They had lectured and advised me. I had apologised over and over again until finally they had left me.

I needed to get stronger and richer. I needed money and power. One might think they were in the same but they were not. Money was powerful but in the face of true power it was nothing. But it wouldn't hurt to have them both. I needed them both so that I could get back at that heartless crackhead who had forced me to do drugs.

I sat up straight up on my bed and thought for a while. The random 3 o'clock motivation hit my body. I needed to increase the amount of Hyoksi in my body.

One way to do that was to increase my muscle strength by working out or training. Meditation was pointless as it did nothing. When I was writing my novel I had thought that meditation was cliche so I got rid of it.

I spent the rest of the night doing push ups. I didn't stop because as soon as i started sweating the pleasure of training hit my body. I used to be a training freak back on earth so I don't see how I was any different in this world.

I would alternate between normal push ups, diamond push ups, one handed pushups and thumb push ups. I was sweating through my clothes. My shirt was drenched and the floor was so wet that it looked like a small puddle.

Training in a dark room with no windows open was the best. The closed windows kept the heat in which made me feel more pumped up. The smell of my own sweat was fuelling my desire to continue.

It had felt like a very long time and I was right. 5 hours had passed since I had started. I could not continue anymore. My muscles ached but I smiled as I felt nothing but pleasure. Sleep was important if I was to get stronger. I needed to rest my mind and not just my body.

I took of my clothes and opened the window. The cold night air hit my body. I could not feel the cold that much as I was still feeling hot. I took of all my clothes and went to sleep.

Tomorrow I would going to harder than any shounen anime main character. I needed to become stronger. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day for me.

"Where are you going?" Mother Sally asked as she soothed a child that she carried.

"Work..." I said.

Just like last night the entire room was silent and the eyes of everyone stared at me. "You have a job?" Sally asked.

"Of course I do, today is payday." I glanced at the kids and asked them. "Who wants chocolate and candy?"

Immediately i got their attention and they raised their hands jumping about eagerly. "If you behave for the rest of the day I'll buy it for you." I said.

"What job?" Mother Sally asked me.

"A job, don't worry about it." I said. I could not tell her I had gone on an expedition before because if I did I would be creating problems for myself.

"Don't worry about it! I'm not worried I'm just curious." she said.

"Curiosity is what killed the cat," I placed a kiss on Sally's cheek which shocked everyone. It was a small action but it had created enough time for me to escape.

I headed towards the city. I needed to get stronger and there were several ways that I could do that. From a corner shop I bought some food, snacks and beverages. I had also bought vitamin water which contained 400 calories for every 100 millilitres. This was going to help me out a lot.

I reached an averagely large shop. There was quite a decent amount of people. I walked to the receptionist who greeted me with a smile. "What would you like sir?" she asked me.

"I want to use the Hyoksi Chambers for 10 hours." I said.

The receptionist glanced at me as if I was crazy but did not voice her opinions. Using a Hyoksi chamber was no different from working out for 24 hours straight. There were people who trained for over 24 hours but those were the training freaks only.

"That will be 800 dollars sir." The receptionist said to me. 80 dollars an hour. It wasn't that bad. That was a reasonable price. I paid the money and recieved a blue wristband. It had a QR code.

I left her and walked along the shop and entered the part of the shop where the Hyoksi Chambers were. I scanned the blue wristband on the door and it opened for me.

The chamber was a metre by one metre octagon. It was quite small. I could touch one wall with my hands and my leg with the other.

This was good.

I placed my bag on the floor and stood in the middle of the room. I then started releasing my Hyoksi. My Hyoksi flowed out of my body like water. It took me 3 minutes to let out all of my Hyoksi as I had a fairly small amount of Hyoksi in my body.

I waited for a full minute before reabsorbing the Hyoksi I had just released. Thos was an exercise that increased the amount of Hyoksi I could carry. I would absorb the Hyoksi then let it go, then reabsorb it. This was not meditation at all.

This was just a simple exercise that was no different than holding a cup of water in my mouth, spitting it out into a cup and then putting it back in my mouth.

The difference between this exercise and meditation was that meditation was a simple exercise. You did not have to move. But for this exercise, I had to move about. I had to stay awake. It required a lot of movement. This exercise was energy draining.

After every hour I would need to rest for 20 minutes and eat some snacks. I needed to do this otherwise it would create problems for me. It would become harder to let the Hyoksi out and to reabsorb it.
