"What?" I blinked.

"Rose–we've already discussed that we didn't do anything!"

"Is this some kind of soap opera–er drama?" Belle tilted her head, amused, a skittish giggle escaping through her bones. "How charming to see that after all these years–our Cassius hasn't changed at all from being a womanizer."

"So I was right all this time!" Rose blinked and looked at me as if betrayed.

I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck. "Surely, I never denied anything? But regardless–let's just finish the transaction with the books alright?"

"And now you want to settle." Belle tsked. "Could have done it earlier–"

"Must I remind you that there's several incidents that happened outside of the Library?" I sighed and crossed my arms before glancing at the two women with me. "Although perhaps they could explain it better since I did sleep–"

"Did you go to Eternal Sleep without telling me?"
