The Queen told the guard to open Aria's door as she wanted to meet her daughter immediately, and once the door was opened, she frowned deeply as her nose was attacked with a foul stench of rotten meat. 

No, to be more precise, this was the stench of a corpse that had gone bad.

The guards at the door held their breaths as they looked away. They didn't dare to say anything as they were scared they'd be Princess Aria's next victim.
