Chapter. 10 - Something New

Folren, one of the biggest cities on the continent, also considered to be the capital of Asengard. The greatest kingdom in the continent that is ruled by a hierarchical system with nobility being the 3% of its population. It dons the flag of a great white hilt that sits on the skies.

"So we're going to the capital?!"

Jerard leaned over to Miyata as his eyes seemed to sparkle. And as his consciousness was somewhere else, a man with a bowl cut tapped his shoulders.

"Yep, and they also gave us a day to return back to the village to fulfill any of our duties before we set off to the capital."

It was one of the chosen soldiers who is in his early twenties, and his build was a little scrawny but with muscles definitely showing due to the intense training in the fort, but the most eye catching was his perfect bowl cut.

He gave a thumbs up to Miyata and spoke with respect.

"Thank you very much for saving our pride! That fire mage really got on our nerves and you humiliated him for us. If you ever need my help, just call."

"Ah, don't think about it too much! He really deserved everything!"

Miyata looked pissed as she remembered that mage and just blurted out words. And the bowl cut man laughed.

"Haha! Yes he does... Anyways, what do you two plan to do before you come back here?"

"Oh? Um, I forgot something near the village and I think I have to get it back but it's a little... Big."

"Big huh? Well, maybe you can try learning spatial magic. I've heard that even a beginner mage can fit in a whole cabinet in but can't put anything else in, is that enough?"

The bowl cut man pondered over his words and remembered.

"Ah! Even though that a beginner mage can do it, only few are actually able to create the space, like something you have to be chosen for!"

"Yeah, I've heard that spatial mages are rare. But they're mostly prejudiced as they are all only able to use spatial magic, people mostly hired them for small jobs. There might be one in the mages here, so maybe ask them to help you."

Jerard suddenly spoke as well, looking quite different from before.

After explaining, Bowl Cut looked at Jerard.

"Also, Jerard, Iron Man has something to tell you, so report in after a few minutes."

"Ehhh!"

Bowl cut smiled mischievously, definitely expecting a scolding and laughed at Jerard who was sprinting to Iron Man as if his life depended on it.

Miyata was left pondering for a few seconds and lifted up a smile.

"Alright! Thanks Bowl Cut, I'll head to the mage's barracks and look for someone to teach me, see you!"

And in just a minute Bowl Cut was left alone, with nothing left but a picture in his brain of a beauty smiling at him as she left. A blush was all that remained.

After a good few minutes, he finally broke out of it and realised.

"W-wait a minute, did she say she would go to the mage's barracks?!"

Knowing he can't stop her, Bowl Cut rushed to Iron Man's office to ask for help. His face still as red as a tomato.

Jerard took a heavy breath in and puffed out his chest and steeled himself as he knocked on a steel door.

"Get in."

A deep and husky voice echoed into the hallway that he stood at.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO?!"

Iron Man's voice echoed throughout the building, some of the staff and knights inside were even seen to turn pale.

Bowl Cut was no different, after entering the building, a minute later the thunderous shout was heard.

Even as he finally found the door to the room, his will was not strong enough to open it... Until he remembered the sweet smile that he saw, he mustered all his strength, rammed the door and shouted.

"PLEASE! SOMEONE'S IN DANGER!"

After opening his eyes, two men were holding tankards of beer. With Jerard obviously having an awkward look.

"What is this?"

A cold voice echoed into Bowl Cut's ears.

"I-I-Iron Man sir, M-Miyata wanted to go to the Mage's personal barracks, s-she might be dange-"

"What?!"

Jerard perked and stood up, understanding the situation completely, he sprinted all the way to where the mages were.

Behind him, Iron Man had a serious look, he looked at Bowl Cut and told him:

"Call for some knights, tell them to go. Let's check what the result will be."

Miyata was jogging to the eastern part of the fort thinking.

{Spatial magic huh? Something like that was never mentioned in the game... Is it similar to a player's inventory? But why are only few able to use it... Something not in the game huh.. I'M EXCITED!"

Only taking a few minutes, she reached her destination.

Many eyes were glued onto her, some curious but the other, with hostility.

"Umm, excuse me is there someone here who knows how to cast spatial magic?"

Miyata approached a meek looking mage with a brown robe, he was short as his height was smaller than Miyata, he had a small but pretty face.

Yet, as she inquired to him, four other mages with red robes came and interrupted.

"Hey! Don't disrespect this almighty soldier here you mule. Come beautiful lady, you were asking about spatial magic right?"

One of the mage opened the door to the big storage room.

"Come here, we'll teach you."

Miyata with an indifferent expression looked at the shrinking small mage, then she whispered to him.

"I'll be back."

He perked up and peeked to see her going inside the building.

After 5 minutes he was still left staring into the door, as if he was expecting something to come out, but his trance was broken as a man rushed at him.

"WAS THERE A WOMAN HERE?"
