Inside the church, Adam Robert was unaware of what was happening outside. However, he quickly regained his composure.

Although he didn't understand the nature of the trap or why Iron Man suddenly appeared, there was one thing he knew for certain—

The words he had spoken must not be revealed! If they were leaked, it would be the end for both him and Colonel Stryker.

Without hesitation, he raised his weapon and uttered two cold words: "Open fire!"

In response to the sound, a dozen special elite soldiers within the church sprang into action. Bullets rained down from all angles towards Wolverine and the others, while smoke bombs were simultaneously deployed.

"They still want to silence them by killing"

The audience witnessing this scene collectively gasped. However, the X-Men were clearly not as vulnerable as before.

"Let's go!"

Phoenix spoke coldly. Ever since she learned of William Stryker's plan to use Cerebro to eradicate all mutants, her heart had been filled with anger and fear.

Deep within her soul, the power of the Phoenix surged violently. Yet this time, instead of losing control over her emotions, it responded to her emotions, amplifying her abilities several times over.

Simultaneously, she extended both hands. Her left hand faced the oncoming bullets, while her right hand reached upward to intercept the descending smoke bombs...

Time seemed to freeze in that moment!

Even as Adam Robert and his men continued to unleash a barrage of bullets, not a single one came close to its target.

"Speak!"

The Phoenix's expression tightened, causing all the bullets to subtly change their trajectories, now targeting the dozen special forces soldiers. "Where is William Stryker?!"

Adam Robert, of course, remained silent. Fear did not flicker in his eyes.

"Watch out!"

Wolverine and Cyclops immediately noticed the danger and almost simultaneously issued a warning. Just as they spoke, a sharp gust of wind pierced the air.

They witnessed a series of black figures smashing through the windows, somersaulting in mid-air, and swiftly taking down all their opponents with incredible speed.

There were a total of seven individuals, tall and strong, brandishing long knives with stern expressions and vacant eyes.

They resembled emotionless humanoid machines. Each blade was aimed at Phoenix.

However, Cyclops and Wolverine would not let them succeed. In an instant, Cyclops activated the switch on his visor, unleashing a brilliant crimson beam that struck three targets consecutively.

Wolverine, too, leaped several meters into the air, extending his Adamantium claws to pierce the chests of two targets mid-flight. Simultaneously, he kicked another with both feet, landing a heavy blow.

To his surprise, the two individuals whose chests were pierced seemed unfazed. Their knives abruptly reversed, stabbing at Wolverine from either side, while the target beneath his feet attempted to slash his neck with their knife.

"Shit!"

Wolverine cursed inwardly. His memories had returned, and the scene before him triggered a flood of painful recollections. "These people are the experimental subjects of the X-Weapon Project, using my regenerative genes"

He quickly warned aloud, simultaneously raising his right knee to knock away the knife-wielding hand of the target beneath him.

Ignoring the intense pain from his ribs, Wolverine exerted pressure with both claws, tearing apart the bodies of the two targets on either side with immense force.

Blood gushed forth, and the faces of the two experimental subjects turned pale.

"Their regenerative gene levels are very low. They cannot recover from severe injuries"

Wolverine's eyes gleamed.

"I understand..."

Cyclops' voice dripped with anger as the three individuals struck by his optic blasts were left with gaping holes in their bodies. They were flung backwards, crashing to the ground, unable to rise.

He shifted his gaze, attempting to target the remaining individual. However, this person was clearly different from the other six.

She moved significantly faster. After landing, she leapt forward, gaining an incredible burst of speed. She hurled the long knife in her hand and, taking advantage of a gap as Cyclops dodged, swiftly closed the distance between herself and Phoenix...

Clang! Her bone claws also extended.

There was no need for words; she was another experimental subject, possessing Wolverine's regenerative genes at a higher level.

"Do you think my abilities are inactive because I don't have both hands free?"

Phoenix's face twisted with an odd expression, her thoughts already in motion.

The woman's bone claws were on the verge of striking her, but they suddenly froze in mid-air. "I admit you are powerful, but your allies...are too few"

Phoenix was taken aback, sensing the sound of something slicing through the air behind her. It turned out to be Nightcrawler, whom she had overlooked, leaping up from the ground, aiming his tail-like appendage at the back of her neck.

So, he had been in control the entire time.

"Hmph!"

With time running short, Phoenix snorted inwardly, ready to unleash the full force of the Phoenix power within her.

But at that very moment, Stark, who had been spectating for some time, suddenly raised his right hand and fired a pulse cannon that struck Nightcrawler.

"I told you, we're still live on air. You can't blatantly commit murder and expect me to turn a blind eye."

Tony rose into the air, wearing a perplexed expression.

He understood that his role today was that of a witness. However, he hadn't anticipated the situation to unfold in this manner.

Though he didn't understand why Lynn hadn't made a move yet, he couldn't simply stand by and watch the X-Men suffer defeat... especially with countless viewers watching.

The primary villain today was William Stryker alone. Realizing this, Tony maneuvered his suit, preparing to make a spectacular descent and turn the tide of the battle.

But in that instant... a red light as powerful as Cyclops' beam suddenly materialized and struck his chest.

"Boom!"

Tony crashed through the church, hurtling outwards.

Simultaneously, a figure clad in a red and black battle suit, wearing a mask and sporting steel knives protruding from his hands, appeared before Phoenix seemingly out of thin air.

"This can't be..."

Wolverine, who had just turned his head to witness the scene, widened his eyes in disbelief. "I've already killed you..."

No response came. However, the man with the steel knives glanced at Wolverine, his eyes flashing red as laser beams pierced his body on the spot.

At the same time, another figure stealthily approached Eddie Brock from outside the church. Apparently, their target was the camera.

Undoubtedly, William Stryker had prepared thoroughly for this operation. The viewers who had watched the events unfold before the live broadcast gasped in astonishment.
