Captain Vik's power

"Captain Vik, are you ready?"

Victoria tapped her helmet with her finger. "More than ever."

"Then good luck, Captain Vik. May God be with you."

As the massive door separating her from the aliens slid open, Vik was filled with excitement. If she could defeat the aliens this time, Earth would finally find peace. "Maria, activate battle mode."

"As you command, Captain Vik," Maria replied. Maria was the name Victoria had given to the AI in her armor, named after her mother whom she had never met. She was pleased with her decision as Maria filled the void of maternal love she had never experienced.

As the weapons on her suit activated, Vik took her first step outside through the massive door. Facing her were hordes of aliens, along with a massive alien spaceship approaching them.

"Captain Vik, the army awaits your orders, sir," the command center relayed Vik's commands as usual. "The order is simple: crush and move past the aliens."

"Haha, understood," Vik replied.

Taking in the sight of the warships surrounding her, Vik couldn't help but feel pity. The humans inside were weak, relying on machines to survive. What did the aliens want from these poor souls? This thought troubled Vik. Regaining the hatred necessary for battle, she stepped firmly on the ground. "Maria, anti-gravity."

"Anti-gravity activated."

With a single leap, Vik positioned herself in front of all the flying ships. The leader of the battle had to fight in the front lines. The approaching swarm of aliens was larger than usual. Vik could tell this was the aliens' final move. "Activate laser blades." The battle was about to begin. Vik would cut them all down in one swoop. "Wave attack." Boosting the power of her laser blades, Vik stopped to make the final move. She crossed her arms and quickly spread them apart, slicing through the approaching aliens with a single wave.

"As always, amazing job, Captain Vik. We can't wait to be as strong as you one day."

Vik smiled, but it was a bitter smile. Being the only powerful human was both a blessing and a curse. She didn't like being different. She wanted others to be like her. She visited Professor Richard every day in hopes of hearing some news. Although nothing ever changed, Vik never lost hope and continued to visit, and she would continue to do so.

"Captain, it's our turn."

"Show yourselves, kids."

The ships were now on the battlefield. The aliens fell one by one to the rain of bullets, or shattered before they could even touch the ground. The humans' firepower was unprecedented. The aliens' superior regeneration couldn't withstand the onslaught of bullets anymore. Vik focused on the massive entity behind the rain of dead aliens. The aliens were no problem, but the massive thing was a serious issue. If necessary, she might have to play her last card, just like the aliens.

"Let's finish this, invaders," Vik said with a deep sigh, preparing for the main spectacle.

"One."

"And forty."

"A hundred."

She effortlessly mowed down the aliens, using her close combat weapon, the laser blade, to savor each kill. Every drop of alien blood shed was a step towards peace for the world. "Hey kids, how long did that take this time? I must have broken my record."

"Exactly 32 seconds, sir."

"Disappointing. With that many alien swarms--" She interrupted herself by blowing the head off an alien that leaped at her. "Sorry, it's hard to talk on the battlefield. Now let's try to break my record again. Let's see how long it takes to clear 100 aliens. Maria, full armor, full power."

"Understood, Vik."

With the full power loaded into her armor and her laser blades, Vik doubled the volume of her armor. "This time, I'll play just for the record. All weapon modes." As Vik activated all the weapons on her suit, the armor's volume doubled. The aliens continued to swarm towards her relentlessly. Why weren't they running? All they were doing was rushing towards death. That wasn't a problem for Vik. If they wanted death, she would give it to them. "And let's begin."

Whip strikes, crushing under pressure, splitting with laser blades, seismic rocket explosions, Vik's ultra punches... the aliens tasted death in various ways. Vik never compromised her speed. She cleared all the aliens without giving the ships a chance to fire at the aliens. "How long this time?"

"10 seconds, sir." The entire crew was amazed by this sight. Vik was pleased to hear the shouts of joy from the command center. "Victory will be ours, kids."

"YEAH!" Vik locked her eyes on the main target amidst the cheers from the command center. "The area is yours now, kids."

"As you command, Captain."

Vik charged towards the massive entity with all her might, continuing to mow down aliens in her path.

"And you're next." This time, the laser blade stuck in the alien's abdomen remained embedded in its body. How could this be? Was this the leader of the aliens? For the first time, Vik felt fear from an alien. The alien was huge, but she had killed countless giant aliens before. What made this one different? She pushed through her fear and lifted her head to look at the alien's face. She couldn't move. The alien had trapped her arm in its body.

"You... are... the one... I've found you."

Vik's eyes widened. For the first time, she heard an alien speak in her own language.
