I Challenge Her

"Naomi" She said with a small voice.

"Naomi! What a beautiful name you have!" Nora said in excitement.

Naomi blushed at Nora's compliment and felt a strange sensation being near her. She was confused about it and thought that sensation feels similar to how Nia described the sensation she felt when she met Elaine for the first time.

"Well Naomi who do you want to challenge?" Nora asked with a smile as she looked at Naomi.

"I can choose anyone?" She asked the crimson eyed woman.

"Yes, you can choose any of the other Greed girls and they have no choice but to accept since you were the only one to raise her hand."

When Naomi heard that her face was flushed with excitement and Cassandra who in the distance saw it and sighed loud enough for Nia to ask about it.

"Why are you sighing Cassandra?" Nia asked.

"Its because I know who she is going to choose." She said with a frown thinking about who Naomi was going to choose to fight her.

"Who is she going to choose and why?" Nia was visibly confused and Cassandra saw this and let out a small chuckle.

Cassandra started to explain the situation to Nia, "When Naomi was out for her mission she came across another Greed candidate that was hunting the same monster as her. Apparently multiple people can be on the same mission and the one who turns it in first gets the rewards. 

Naomi's mission was to kill a mid transcendent wolf-like beast. The wolf was the leader of a pack of 7 and she took care of all of them including the leader. She was tired and had stored the pack member but before she could store the leader an arrow made of water was shot at her and she dodged it but the corpse was stolen.

When she got back to the mission hall she saw the corpse and who was turning it in. she was infuriated and wanted to complain but Freya stopped her before she could make a mess of things."

Cassandra took a breath and continued, "And the name of that girl is..."

"Laurel"

"LAUREL!" Nia said out loud, "I challenge her!"

Nora let out a huge smile that to many looked like a demon but to those like the other sins who knew her, know that it is a smile of amusement when something interesting happens.

Nora spoke in a commanding to keeping her smile, "Good, Laurel and Naomi get in the arena so we can start."

Both girls got on the arena stage. They both looked at each other with different emotions on their faces. Naomi had a mocking look that infuriated the other girl. While Laurel had an expression of rage when she recognized that Naomi was the girl she stole the Wolf leader corpse from thinking that Naomi wouldn't find out.

"Didn't know you'd be so petty to challenge me." Laurel said to provoke Naomi.

"Didn't know you'd be so stupid to steal what was mine." Naomi said to the other girl.

"Seems like its time to teach you a lesson little girl. There are some things that you think are yours but will never be." Laurel said and this time succeeding in provoking Naomi somewhat.

Naomi who was slightly provoked said, "Well then, looks like we have someone who thinks their top dog. Funny thing is I live with two people who are greater than you in everyway. One girl who is so beautiful that just looking at her makes one feel unworthy to call themselves above-average in looks, even the maids are not able to block her charm if she goes all out. Another girl who gives off the vibes of someone so dependable that you just can not help but be envious of her, everything she does is so natural as if she was a natural born genius in anything she does.

But what are you? Just a girl who won't even be remembered by tomorrow as she was just object on the side of the road that will be known as my life."

Cassandra and Nia who heard Naomi's thoughts about them made them both blush to the point that their whole faces were red and their maids around them just smiled although all four of their smiles were a bit stiff.

"Since when did she speak so much?" Nia said to try and hide her embarrassment.

"She was angry at her prey getting stolen and was worked up about it." Cassandra said doing a better job at keeping a stoic face.

They both looked at each other and with unspoken communication decided that if Naomi won they would tease the hell of her for the rest of the day for embarrassing them.

Nora got onto the stage as Naomi and Laurel were taking jabs at each other and took a cold breath when she heard Naomi's venomous tongue.
