4 four

The person driving was the instructor. His eyes were full of anger. Anger for me. If I had enough energy I'd flip him off. I propped my head upon my hand and looked out the window.

Mr. alpha got in on the other side and I could see him staring at me from the corner of my eye.

"Let's go home, Raphael." The man nodded, started up the car and began to drive to where I assume the pack would be. All this wasn't hitting me hard enough, which was the scariest thing. I was so neutral when I should be screaming, crying, anything!

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I felt the alpha's hand move to my thigh. I looked down at it and simply pushed his hand away. He grabbed my waist and pulled me into the seat next to him. I rolled my eyes and began to slide my way back to the other side.

"Naomi," he groaned and I halted, "let's not do this. It's been a long night."

How did he know my name? I don't remember telling him that.

"I need space." Is all I said and slid back over to my side of the car. He sighed and granted me my wish. My eyelids began to get heavy and I eventually just gave into the darkness of sleep.

I woke up to loud voices around me. They all blended in and sounded like gibberish until I had fully woken up. It was people. All around me and the alpha who was carrying me. I pressed my face close to his neck and watched the people we passed.

"hi luna!" a little girl yelled out at me, making me flinch. "she's pretty!" a similar but older girl said.

"Is she human?" a voice said in disgust. "when will we be expecting pups?" another man asked. the people asked various questions while the alpha walked us into the huge cabin, which I assume is the packhouse.

he brought me to a well-designed room and sat me down on a bed. my heart was racing and I tried to calm myself down. "oh my god." I whispered with a hand on my chest.

"Sorry about them. as you can see they've been waiting for their luna for awhile."

I looked up at him and stood up. "get out." I said.

he raised a brow and stepped closer to me. "what did you say?" he asked in a voice of disbelief.

"I said, get out," I crossed my arms around my chest, "you've traumatized me enough for one night so leave!" tears began to form in my eyes.

he opened his mouth to speak before squeezing his fists and shaking his head. "we will talk about you running away tomorrow and a compromise will be made, with or without your approval."

"get out!" I yelled. he stomped out of the room and slammed the door so hard it almost snapped. he was furious.

but so was i.

the tears finally fell down my face and I crawled into the bed. I hid under the covers just like I did when I was a kid and my parents left for work. I was so attached to them, leaving them hurt.

tears continued to fall no matter how hard I tried to keep them in. everything ached.

after hours of crying, I eventually fell into a long slumber in the surprisingly comfortable bed.

the light shines through the curtains of the unfamiliar room. I rubbed my eyes with the back of my palm and groaned. "where am I?" I mumbled out, trying to remember what happened last night. my sleep completely knocked my memory out.

the door slowly opened and a head peeked in. my memories immediately came back.

"alpha." I tucked my knees into my arms and rested my head there.

he walked into the room and stood at the edge of the bed, looking down at me while I looked up at him. his face was stern and there were bags under his eyes but he still looked better than ever.

"I told you to call me Levi. no formalities."

I scoffed, "sorry. I didn't know if I had the right to do that, you know, with all the sexism your people embrace."

his hand trailed up and down my face and pushed my hair behind my ear in a soothing manner. I could go to sleep all over again. I let out a peaceful sigh.

"noami.. you know that I would do anything for you, love. I'll protect you and care for you," his hand snaked around my neck and squeezed making my eyes widen, "but if you ever decide to backtalk," he squeezed tighter, "run away," and tighter, "or harm me in any way," he stooped down to my level and smirked.

"I will not hesitate to lock you down in my bedroom for days." I could smell whiskey on his lips. lots of it. I let out a shaky breath at our proximity.

"understood?" he stood back up and let go of my neck as if nothing happened.

I turned toward him and let my legs hang off the edge. "yes... alpha."

he chuckled at my response but decided not to correct me. "go take a shower." he handed me a large t-shirt along with large sweatpants. probably his.

I stared up at him.

"what is it now?" he asked in an annoyed tone with his hands inside his pockets.

"I'm not doing anything until you leave this room."

he laughed at me but I was being dead serious. I wasn't going to shower with this beast being only a room away from me.

he kneeled in front of me and set his hands on my thighs giving them a little squeeze.

"tsk, tsk, tsk. noami.. you should appreciate how much space I give you. after all, most males claim and mark their mates the first night of meeting them," he leaned in close to my neck and left a single kiss there, sending a shiver down my spine. he backed up and looked me in my eyes,

"don't tempt me."

I swallowed my fear down and spoke up. "was that supposed to make me feel grateful? not marking me without my consent is just the bare minimum!" I yelled at him.

he took a deep breath and shut his eyes. I took that time to check him out. I couldn't help myself, my eyes trailed all over his arms, his face, and his shoulders. his eyes opened once again and I looked up to meet them.

"I know this is a very stressful situation for you. you just left your home and parents and I am sorry for that. but for the love of god noami, if you don't get in that shower I will bend you over this bed and take you right now."

my eyes widened and I quickly stood up and ran to the bathroom. I closed the door and locked it swiftly.

this man will be the death of me.
