THE THINGS YOU DO

Lorelai gulped as she turned away from her friend's reflection in the mirror.

She knew that look too well,

It screamed "try me",

"Well, uhmm, I don't know what you're talking about" Lorelai quickly answered, breaking their eye contact before walking away.

"You're lying" She mumbled softly as she watched the woman throw a top on.

"I'm not, I saw it, it looked pretty, so I got it on my body" Lorelai shrugged as she arranged her side of the room.

Adelina raised an eyebrow as she eyed her doubtfully.

"What, is something wrong?" She asked.

"You're lying, just tell me, what's the worst I could possibly do to the person?" Adelina groaned as she flopped down on her bed.

"You killed a guy for grabbing my arm" Lorelai exclaimed in exasperation.

"I felt he grabbed it too harshly, I was trying to protect you" Adelina yelled.

"But..." Lorelai said.

"Are we really going to argue about this... Again?" Adelina grumbled.

Lorelai sat on the bed, massaging her forehead as she sighed.

Adelina knew she was about to crack, so she waited while gazing at her.

"Fine, but you promise not to kill him?" Lorelai finally asked.

"I won't be making any promises" Adelina stated in flat tone.

"Who's he to you by the way?" Adelina asked.

Lorelai turned her face away, gazing out of the window.

"Are you good?" Adelina asked as she sat up on the bed.

"It's just...I don't know how to put it, I felt so disgusted with myself, I wish I could've washed his touch off my body, The tattoo makes me feel better" Lorelai sighed.

"So you were sexually assaulted" Adelina stated as she bounced her leg slowly.

"Yes" Lorelai mumbled as she nodded her head.

"By who?" Adelina asked as she looked up at the woman.

Lorelai gulped again before sheepishly looking into her eyes.

"My cousin, Gabriel" Lorelai whispered.

Adelina's eyebrow cocked up in surprise.

"Okay, that's all I need to know" She added, just before she literally jumped off the bed,

"You're not going to kill him, are you?" Lorelai gasped as she made a start to follow her.

"Do you want me to?" Adelina asked as her brows furrowed when her hand touched the doorknob.

"It'll break my heart to know I was the cause of his death" Lorelai whispered as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Do you want me to break his face or not" Adelina asked as she folded her arms while resting against the door.

Her gaze; cold and steely.

"No, I don't want you to hurt him, it was my fault, I shouldn't have been there" She whispered as she cradled her aching head.

"So... Should I break his face?" Adelina asked again after a long and awkward pause,

"Have you been listening to what I have been saying all this while?" Lorelai groaned.

"No, not really, but I think I caught the main point" Adelina shrugged.

"And what was the main point?" Lorelai asked, quirking an eyebrow at her friend.

"To break his face" Adelina answered.

"No, I never mentioned that, Adelina" Lorelai groaned as she dragged a hand along her face.

"So you want me to take his life?" Adelina asked.

"No, I don't even want you to confront him" She answered with a sigh.

"Why not?" Adelina asked as she tilted her head.

"I don't want you to" Lorelai answered.

"Ohh, so you do want me to break his face instead?" Adelina stated.

"I want no faces broken, Adeli" Lorelai sighed as she got up and turned to stare into the mirror.

"Sureee, you don't" Adelina deadpanned before walking towards the door.

"Just where do you think you're going?" She asked.

"To pay a visit to your dear cousin, Gabriel" Adelina cheesed.

"I don't want you to break his face, Adelina" Lorelai yelled.

"Don't worry, I won't" Adelina giggled as she walked out of the room.

"Then what are you going to see him for?" Lorelai groaned frustratedly.

"I'm going to break something else" Adelina yelled.

"Ughh, why doesn't she listen to me?" Lorelai whispered as she left,

"Hey Jack-Jack, my darling, the love of my life, my one and only, the person in my life that's sweeter than honey, the sugar in my tea and the syrup on my pancakes" Adelina sang as she gained entrance into Jackie's lab,

Jacquelynne shot her a pre-frustrated look before letting out a sharp sigh.

"What do you want, Adelina?" Jacquelynne muttered as she typed away at her keyboard.

"So, there's this guy" Adelina smiled.

"I'm not helping you stalk any of your crushes" Jacquelynne said as she gave her the side eye.

"I'm not stalking, I just wanna know when and where to find him" Adelina smiled.

"That pretty much sounds like stalking to me" Jacquelynne said as she got up and made her way to the fridge.

"Oh, come on, please Jackie" Adelina whined as she followed her around the room like a lost puppy,

"That's not even ethical" Jacqueline sighed,

"Bitch please, you're not one to talk about cyber ethics" Adelina scoffed as she rolled her eyes at the dark haired woman.

"You're not gonna leave me alone, are you?" Jacquelynne sighed as she crashed into her chair.

Adelina smiled and shook her head in the negative,

"Fine, what's the name?" Jacquelynne asked,

"Gabriel, Gabriel Moreno" She answered,

"Isn't that Lorelai's real surname?" Jacquelynne asked.

"Yeah" Adelina shrugged.

"What are you up to?" Jacquelynne asked.

"Nothing much, I'm just paying an old friend a very friendly visit" Adelina cheesed.

Jacquelynne eyed her with suspicion before getting to work.

"Here, this is when and where he will be today" Jacquelynne said as she handed her a piece of paper she had received from the printer.

"House warming party by eight, hmm" Adelina mumbled as her eyes scanned the information.

"It says here that he has a connection with many influential people in the mafia, there's no doubt that they will be there, so be very careful" Jacquelynne warned.

"Watch what you do and where you go, most importantly, do not get caught" She added.

"Oh hunny, I've never gotten caught and I definitely won't be an idiot now, just assign me to an escort, I'll be good" Adelina answered.

"Okay, I'll deploy Vincenzo to your aid and get ready your mode of transport and the best escape routes, in case of any bad situations" Jacquelynne told her.

Adelina eyed the trackers sitting on the table in clusters.

They were flat and about two millimeters thin, they would be extremely hard to notice.

"What's that?" Adelina asked.

"Oh, they're just the new trackers I invented, waterproof and can stick to any part of the body without gaining attention or causing discomfort" Jacquelynne explained.

"Plus it feels like skin, easily attachable and is remote controlled in case you need to remove it" She added.

"Can't one see it?" Adelina asked.

"Ssshh, that's the part I was getting to, the best part, I can use the remote to make it invisible" Jacquelynne smiled.

Adelina kept quiet, staring at the trackers as if thinking and contemplating something.

"I'll take it" Adelina said after a long pause.
