A Grave Mistake (Part One)

A gasp escaped Roselyn's mouth as she suddenly found herself falling and the very next second, her back hit the soft mattress of the king-size bed. She didn't get enough time to process the things that were suddenly happening to her as Prince River was following right behind.

The man climbed on the bed and straddled her before she could have the chance to move or escape from him. His hands took hold of hers before he pressed them against the mattress on either side of her head while lowering his upper body on hers to remove the space between their faces.

Roselyn was quick to move her face to the side as she didn't want to get kissed again, the way her body and soul reacted to his touches was too infuriating and she no longer trusted herself when it came to the man who had her pinned beneath him on the bed.

She tried to struggle out of his hold even when she knew just how futile her attempt was, to begin with. "Let go!" She tried to sound intimidating but her voice was nowhere near it and even though she was facing away from him, she was fully aware of the smirk that bloomed on his lips while sending daggers of anger to her.

He lowered his face until his lips were just a mere breath away from her cheek as he whispered, "Too late, Little rose. Now, it's time for you to see just how terrible I am."

Roselyn found herself turning her face to look at the man but the sudden action resulted in a collision between their lips that sent sparks running through her entire body. Thankfully, she was quick to turn her face away once again while closing her eyes to calm herself down. Little did she know that the man would take full advantage of the situation as he planted his lips right under her ear. 

Her eyes flew open the very moment his lips came in contact with her skin, her lips parting as a barely audible gasp left her mouth. She pulled on her hands to get them free while she wriggled under the man to get him away from herself but he didn't budge at all, instead, his lips started trailing wet kisses all over the right side of her throat that she left at his mercy while trying to avoid kissing him.

"River..." She called out his name in protest while forgoing any sort of honorific to address him. She once again tried to get her hands free but the pendant around her neck had limited her physical and magical abilities which made her a hundred times inferior to him. 

"Sssh!" River sushed her into silence as he trailed his lips across her jawline and brought his mouth too close to hers. As he continued to speak, his warm breath fanned her skin and pulled her focus toward his lips. "There's no point in either struggling or begging because it's time you should learn to fear me, my people, and my realm." 

As soon as those words were out of his mouth, River crashed his lips against hers, causing her to gasp in surprise and letting him take advantage of the situation to slip his tongue inside her mouth.

Roselyn protested or at least tried to, but just like before, her attempts were futile as she was no match for the man. His hands were gripping her wrists tightly while his huge body had her pinned underneath him and at the same time, his mouth was devouring hers and pulling her into a dark abyss that scared her to the core.

Her powers, which had been lying dormant because of the pendant, made the slightest bit of movement as River's darkness started surrounding her but didn't try to fight against it. As for her body and soul, of course, they betrayed her the very moment he touched her.

The kiss was deep, fast, and full of passion. The way he was kissing her almost made Roselyn feel like he was trying to devour her and the worst part of all this was the realization that she had started enjoying it.

River ended the kiss after a few moments only to trail kisses all over her cheek, jawline, and down her throat. His lips and tongue left a sweet trail across her smooth skin and caused thousands of sparks to burst throughout her body which made the last bit of remaining anger leave her mind. He had successfully taken over her - mind, soul, and body.

Roselyn didn't even know that she was unconsciously moving her head to give him more access to her throat as he kept trailing kisses and making butterflies flutter in her stomach. Just in the next couple of seconds, his mouth was everywhere, one moment he was kissing her and claiming her lips, and the very next second, his lips were trailing all over her throat and making her shudder under him.

She was so lost in the pleasure that had started taking over her that she didn't even notice when he finally let go of her hands to trail his own hands down her body. His touch was like molten lava that was meant to melt her. 

She felt his lips on her collarbone while one of his hands was trying to make its way under her blouse but she was past the point of even think about stopping him. A faint voice in the back of her head was still aware that she didn't like the man at all, even disliked him, but nothing of all that mattered at the moment.

No matter how much she disliked the fact but it was true that she was enjoying every second as his warm hand moved over her bare belly while his lips left wet trails all over her collarbone.

Her eyes flew open when the man suddenly pulled her into a sitting position while both his hands moved to the hem of her blouse. Their gazes collided and she found the perfect moment to push him away.
