I recovered, my heart pounding, but Zeph's attack was relentless. He struck again and again, each blow landing with precision and power.
I stumbled, my vision blurring. Zeph's sword struck true, sending me crashing to the ground. I lay there, dazed and helpless, as Zeph stood over me, his sword raised for the final blow. And then, just as all hope of victory seemed lost...
Interruptor: Zeph, wait! Don't do it!
"Zeph's sword hesitated, his eyes flicking towards the speaker. I followed his gaze, my heart racing with hope. It was Sophia, the most beautiful female vampire from the Family of Xandros. But why was she intervening in the event? She might get punished for intervening."
Sophia: Zeph, don't be a fool, (Sophia warned, her eyes flashing red with a fierce intensity.) Arthur is not your enemy. The true enemy is coming, and we need him so don't let us make an enemy of him please.🙏
Zeph: (lowering his sword, his eyes narrowing) what do you mean?
" Sophia's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze burning with a secret message."
Sophia: The Nightstalker has returned, and only Arthur can stop him.
" The crowd gasped, their voices echoing across the battlefield. I stared up at Sophia, my mind racing with questions. What did she mean? Who the heck was the Nightstalker? And why did I have a feeling that my fate was about to take a drastic turn? And with that, everything went black."
Arthur's POV
I woke up to the sound of whispers. Sophia's face hovered above mine, her eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity.
Sophia: Arthur, listen to me, (She urged). The Nightstalker is a monster, a creature of legend. He's been awakened by some foolish mortals and he will stop at nothing to destroy our kind.
Arthur's POV
I struggled to sit up, my head spinning and I was feeling sore everywhere. I couldn't believe it, I pushed myself to the limit. I could see Zeph standing nearby, visibly shaking from the revelation of this Nightstalker guy. I am confused how Zeph knows about this Nightstalker guy and I don't, we are basically the same age. Anyway Sophia has to explain what she meant by me stopping the Nightstalker.
Zeph: What do you propose we do, Sophia? ( His voice dripping with skepticism)
Sophia: ( Her eyes flashing with determination) We need to form an alliance, Zeph. We need to work together to stop the Nightstalker before it's too late.
Zeph: ( Snorted) you expect me to form an alliance with you and him? Forget it, I don't want to, especially with him. ( Points at Arthur ).
Sophia: (With a hardened face) can you please just keep your arrogance and pride aside. You and I know how dangerous Nightstalker is. And Arthur is the only one who can stop him.
Arthur's POV
I stared at Sophia, my mind racing. What did she mean? Why did she think I was the only one who could help? And then, it hit me. The prophecy. The one that spoke of a vampire savior, a chosen one who would save the whole vampire and human race from destruction. Could it be true? Could I really be the one?
Sophia's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze burning with conviction.
Sophia: Arthur, we need you. Will you join us?
Arthur's POV
I hesitated, my mind racing with doubts. How could I trust Sophia and Zeph? And what about the vampire leaders, the ones who had ruled our kind for centuries? Why were they not involved in this alliance?
Arthur: I am not sure, I need to know more about this Nightstalker, and why you think I'm the only one who can help.
( Sophia's face fell, but Zeph just snorted)
Zeph: You are not exactly in a position to negotiate, Arthur, ( He sneered ) you are lucky we are even offering you a chance to join us.
( I glared at Zeph, my anger rising. But Sophia intervened, her voice calm and persuasive)
Sophia: Zeph, please. Arthur has a right to know what he's getting into. We need his trust, and his cooperation.
( Zeph shrugged , but Sophia continued.)
Sophia: The Nightstalker is an ancient evil, a creature of legend. He was thought to be long dead, but somehow he's been awakened. And he's not just a mindless monster, Arthur. He has a plan, a plan to destroy our kind and rule over the human world.
Arthur: ( Feeling a chill run down his spine) and why do you think I'm the only one who can stop him?
Sophia: ( Her eyes gleaming with intensity) you have a gift, Arthur. A gift that could be the key to our survival. But we need your help, and we need it now.
Arthur's POV
I hesitated, my mind racing with doubts and fears. But Sophia's words struck a chord deep within me. I remembered the prophecy again, the one that spoke of a vampire savior. Could it be true? Could I really be the one?TBC...
