A Thin Man in DC (HIATUS)

"Don't worry he doesn't bite!!"

"LIKE HELL HE DOESN'T!! CALL YOUR DOG OFF OF ME!!"

"You know what I don't like your attitude... sick em titan!"

"YOUR INSANE!! I'M OUTTA HERE"

A brown haired obese man in a mail man suit can be seen running down the block from an all black rottweiler. That man is Morieus, he's the city's mailman and he is known for being #1 worst mail man in history. when he first started his job is truck broke down because he didn't buy any gas and then his ankle snapped from him walking around too much not to mention he thought a letter was his and lost it only to go through and open all the mail to find his own, which wasn't even his. Now he would be fired but his boss can't afford to get a new worker since his company is failing so miraculously he kept his job.

"Finally my shift is over I can go home.." Morieus finally arrives home and the moment he get's home a dog pees on his boot. "Ugh! Dumb mutt! That was my favorite shoe!" Morieus being the animal lover he is pushes away the dog without trying to hurt it, but due to his bad luck the dog is pushed in the road and it gets hit by a car. "Oh no... no no no no NO!! I'm sorry buddy I didn't mean it I promise! stay with me!" as the dog wines from the pain the guy in the car gets out with a bottle in his hand and a look of pure anger on his face "Hey Dipshit! Your dog's innards are all over my car! So get your fatass over here and clean it up!"

The moment those words left the guy's mouth Morieus freezes, now he had never knew the dog but he had always liked dogs. When he was a kid a police dog had rescued him when he was nine from a drug dealer, Morieus knew he wasn't a fighter and that he shouldn't do what he's about to do but he couldn't stop himself, he charged over towards the guy before tackling him, the guy retaliates by trying to punch Morieus in his head but due to being on the ground and Morieus's obesity he only punches his stomach, which gives Morieus enough time slam his heavy fist into the guy's face over and over and over. As he finishes he gets up and looks at what he's done the guy has a broken nose and jaw, he's missing some teeth and he has a swollen eye, Morieus get's hit with a heavy feeling of guilt and begins to feel sick but before he can turn away he hears a loud noise and feels a pain in his shoulder.

Turning around slowly he spots a woman crying while shakily holding a gun, realizing what just happend he screams in pain before crying, the woman then runs over to him before apologizing over and over realizing this isn't going anywhere he tries to ask her for some kind of bandage and cloth only to feel another insanely painful sting in his back. Standing over him was the man he had beat up with a smile and face only a mother could love, knowing this is his end he waits for death and only hopes someone can get pay back for him.

Gotham City 2:09 AM

*Gasp* "w-what just happend? I no haha.. I'm alive! I'M ACTUALLY ALIVE!!" Morieus then looks down to see he is skinny, like really skinny, like extremely skinny. "What..? Why am I so skinny? I don't feel to different but I don't even look like me anymore.. speaking of me where am I?"

"Your In Gotham tall dude"

Morieus quickly whips his head around to see an old man by a fire, he has white greasy hair, old wrinkly skin and a ripped jacket with old brown pants but the weird thing is he has DJ headphones on and a chain over his neck. "w-what?" Morieus speaks out with all the will he can muster. "You can call me the messenger the great one told me to give you this" the messenger says as he hands a letter to Morieus.

In exchange for another life and accomplishment of your desires, I have a task for you.. gain enough power to combat the one know as darkseid. Destroy his avatar and tear down his empire, I have chosen what you call a "character" from your world to act as your appearance and abilities I believe he is called The broadcaster or the man in the hat.

Morieus reads the letter before turning to look at the messenger only to find him gone. "The man in the hat..? That sounds familiar... where have I heard that...wait... suit check. hat check. tall check. extremely skinny check. I-I'm the the thin man!?! That explains why it sounded so familiar I remember watching Coryxkenshin play that game and then I searched the guy up on the wiki....and he had uhh telekinesis...hypnosis, teleportation, reality warping to some degree and time manipulation while being superhumanly flexible. Wow not a half bad load out especially when your in DC, seeing as how a guy can fly and run around the world in seconds but Darkseid? isn't he like a god!?! if I'm going to have any chance of fighting him I need to amass power and fast"

Morieus looks around and finds himself in an alley way, as he continues looking around he finds a glass shard and looks in it. "Ok not half bad, I have pitch black eyes and really pale skin not to mention my black hair. Other than my freakish height I look just like a regular man in a suit, that's good I'm glad I don't have permanently closed eyes and weird tar like skin. Now he had some telekinetic like pull/grab so that's first on my powers list" Looking around Morieus finds a mouse chewing on a piece of cheese. "He'll do just fine. Ok Mori time to concentrate how did thin man do it? I think he wanted to grab it and it came to him, so I'll try using my will first" Morieus opens his hand and focuses on trying to bring the mouse towards him.

Soon enough his hand starts to emit a glitchy like energy before making a static sound and instantly he pulls the mouse towards him as if on reflex his hand wraps around the mouse holding tight. "I did it!! hah look at me now world!! I have the power!! OW! STOP! CALM DOWN I'M SORRY!" Focusing once more, the static comes again before stopping as he gives the cheese to the mouse. "I'll name you... uhh i'm actually not too sure let's just go" Morieus walks out of the alley way with the mouse on his shoulder as he walks his thoughts start to race. "Another source that amplified the thin man's power was the tower, it had helped him take control of most of everything in the city. So should I just find a tower and Hijack that or should I build one...actually I should hold off on those thoughts I don't know how the heroes would react to there city being personally altered due to some random guy taking over a radio tower. Best thing to do would be to just continue to work at my abilities making them stronger through training"

While Morieus continues to walk as if he on auto-pilot, he doesn't notice a guy slam into him. "Hey bub watch where your goin- the moment the guy looks up he freezes and shivers go down his spine as he sees two pitch black void like eyes looking down at him. "I-I- h-hey man I didn't mean any disrespect y-ya know heh uh I'll get out of your path s-sorry sir" the guy quickly shuts his mouth before taking off in a burst of speed as if he was running for his life.

'What was that.. I guess being supernaturally tall and having pitch black eyes can be helpful at times, well back to planning' as Morieus continues walking, the crowd subconsciously opened up a path for him to walk through making sure no one would bump into him next. Morieus walks until he finds an abandoned apartment building, focusing his telekinesis he moves the wood planks that were blocking the door and enters, finding a comfortable spot he sits down in a meditative position and his pet mouse lays down in his lap as he thinks about where he wants to go. "Alright so I could go to central city but I don't wanna run into the flash (ba dum tss), I could go to star city but if it's the arrow from the TV series then I'm screwed.... I should probably just stay in Gotham it's not safer but atleast there is places where I can be without drawing attention and not to mention there's a lot of artifacts and serums I could use to boost me.

As Morieus figures out his plan a noise alerts him, as he thinks it's just his mouse he shrugs it off. Hearing it again he stands up before slowly walking, looking around the room he spots a homeless man laughing with a gun that he has pointed at Morieus. "Get out!! It's my home now ya freak! hehe"

"Calm down, there's nothing saying we can't share is there.. heh.." Morieus says slightly nervous seeing as how a gun killed him in his last life

"HeheheHahahah!!! This was the best drug I ever took.. you should have some too..!" The homeless man laughs as he inhales some kind of gas out of a canister.

"No, I'm okay as of a matter of fact I think you need to be checked out.. that doesn't look healthy" Morieus hurriedly says as he raises his hands

"Fine If you won't take it then i'll force you!! No it's mine! you can't have it!!" The homeless man says as he looks to be having an internal struggle. The homeless man then points the gun at Morieus and shoots, he misses but the gunshot startled both of them.

'I could've just died by.. accident...again.. No! NOOO!' In rage and fear of being killed again Morieus uses his telekinesis as a static noise surrounds both of them before slamming the homeless man through wall and breaking his neck on the concrete below.

Morieus visibly flinches when the sound of the homeless guy's neck breaking enters his ears. "He's dead...I- no it wasn't my fault! it was self defense!" Morieus screams out to no one in particular as his mind try's to cope with the thought of taking a human life, static starts again as it get's louder and louder in Morieus's ears, buildings start to creak before completing bending and blowing apart, the road starts to rise up before slamming down destroying everything around it. Civilians start running as cars start to fly around and slam into the buildings and the ground before completely blowing up.

"Woah! Hey bro chill out!"

"w-wha.." Morieus looks up to see the messenger standing over him with a semi annoyed look. "Calm down if you keep freaking out there's going to be more bloodshed, and you might accidentally kill the pet mouse of yours.." Morieus recoils at the thought of killing his new friend like what happend in his last life, he breaths in and out as the the static lowers and the buildings stop shaking, the cars stop floating and the road halts on destroying itself. "Now I'll cut you slack this time but don't do this again, now grab on so i can get you and your pet out of here before the bat family arrives." Morieus scoops up the mouse that was hiding under him before taking the messengers hand and disappearing.

[ AN: Well there goes this chapter it was fun to write but it felt short not gonna lie, also before you guys say it one punch man monster hero is on hiatus....also I don't have an obsession with freakishly tall people. This was purely a coincidence promise :) ]
