Under The Celestials

Last night is the best night I've ever had in both of my lives combined. You're still asking me why?

I dated an awesome girl, smart, kind, bubbly and beautiful. We watched an awesome movie, eat some amazing ramen and the last part was the goddamn best.

I'll not explain anymore, just read for yourself. "Roll it!"(A.N.: if you get the reference then cheers to that)

=====FLASHBACK=====

"Wanna go to our last destination for tonight?" I looked at her and said, giving her a mysterious smile.

She looked back then flashed a wide and expectant smile at me.

"Let's go!" She yelled happily.

Then we make our way to our last and final destination for the night.

===A Few Minutes of Comfortable Travel===

"Ok, put this on" I smiled at her and gave her a blindfold.

She looked at me then to the blindfold, warily, then looked at me again.

"What?! It is going to be a surprise!" I said with a wide grin.

"Really? Blindfold? If you try something, or bring me to some kind dungeon, just remember who my father is." She said threateningly.

"Wha-" I'm speecheless, what the hell? Dungeon? Really?

"What dungeon?! Holy! What the hell's inside your brain!" I exclaimed jokingly.

But what the actual fck is she thinking? Dungeon? What am I? a maniac?

"What? There's nothing wrong being really cautious you know?" She answered with a smirk.

I just shook my head and passed her the blindfold.

"Go on, just put this on." I urged her.

She took it then covered her eyes with it, but before she completely covered her eyes, she still looked at me with eyes full of suspicion.

"Ok, wait for me, I'll get you out." I said then got out of the car to lead her to the place.

I opened the door at her side the reached for her hand, gently pulling her out.

"Let's go" I said in a mellow voice.

When she got out of the car, I lead her to a cliff-side, I tilted her head upward then held her shoulders from the back.

"Ok, I'll remove the blindfold now" I whispered.

I slowly peeled off the blind fold, then I moved and stand beside her.

I saw her eyes opening, adjusting with the darkness. Anticipation filled me as I am waiting for what will be her reaction. I know it doesn't really need an effort to show something like this, but I just want to show her something that I really enjoy.

"T-this, this is beautiful" she said, mesmerized by the magnificent view in front of her.

"Right?" I said, averting my gaze from the cityscape below the sea of stars to her.

We sat down, still in a comfortable silence for a couple of minutes, appreciating the beauty that is in front of us.

"Do you want to hear a story?" I asked, turning my gaze away from her as I saw her panned her eyes to me.

"About what?" She asked, curiosity filling her eyes.

"About a man, who, with only his undying perseverance, fought gods and demons alike, just to save mortal people, like him." I said, with a smile of reminisce.

Remembering those times when I first read the lore of that man. The rush of passion and morale that surged into my body as a hotblooded youth.

"Hmm. Ok" She said, waiting for me to start the story.

We laid down to the grassy ground, now with the full view of the starry night sky, I started, telling her the story.

"In a sun praising tribe called Rakkor, a boy was born, he was named Atreus, the same name as one of the star from the constellation of war. Their tribe is located at the foot of a steep mountain called Targon. This mountain is really special, when you trekked it and reach the top without dying or giving up halfway, you'll get powers from the stars constelations above, or celestials as they called it. So this boy, Atreus, joined the elite military of his tribe, the Ra'Horak. So you will think that he is the best warrior, if not, one of the best right? like those main characters in novels." I asked her.

"Hmm." She just hummed at my question.

"But he's not, he's not the strongest, nor the smarterst warrior of the tribe, actualy, he's the weakest. But he got something that most of his peers, even for those from older generation, something that they didn't have, perseverance." I continued

"So, he's like Captain America before he became Captain America??" She asked me with an eyebrow raised.

Now that she said that, they really are quite the same. I smiled because of the comparison that she gave.

"Yes, I think he is." I said then continued the story

"His perseverance didn't make him a great fighter though, he still always the one who loses. But the amazing thing about him is everytime he fell down, he'll stand back up, whenever he got bruised, he'll still forge ahead and fight. After some time, his stubbornness earned him a rival and a friend, Pylas. Pylas is one of the best recruit in the Ra'Horak, a better fighter and a best friend." I continued narrating the story to her when she suddenly cut in.

Looking at me with a suspicious gaze, she asked "This is not some BL thing right? Then if it is, I guess I have to call you sister." She said with a smirk.

When she finished her sentence, I was kinda irritated.

"Come on! Me? Gay? Do you want me to prove to you that I'm not?" I said, looking at her like how a hunter looks in its prey.

"Hey, easy there, I'm just joking" she said, a little flustered.

Then there was silence, we looked at each others eyes then suddenly laugh our heads off.

"Hahahahaa, ok enough, continue your story. I want to know what happen" she said, panting because of our bout of laughter.

"Ok, so where am I again?" I asked, genuinely forgetting where I stopped the story

She thinks for a little while, then said "That better fighter part."

"Yeah! Ok, So they trained with each other, then one day, while patrolling with their team, they were ambushed by some barbarian incursion, leaving only the two of them alive. They left the scene quickly to report what just happen. They requested the Aspect of the Sun, the strongest warrior of their tribe, remember when I said the if you reached the top of the mountain you get a power suitable for you that came from the Celestials right? yeah, their leader got the power of solari or the sun, they requested their leader to destroy the barbarian incursion that killed their brother in arms, the Aspect refused, thinking that it is not that important if they lose a few patrol team or not. Quite cruel right?." I asked Gwen then looked at her, she seems to be in a deep comtemplation of something.

"What on your mind?" I asked her, confused as to what is this that she was thinking too hard of.

"I, I just feel bad for those warriors that was abandoned by their own leader, it's kinda sad." She said with a tinge of sadness in her tone, something that I didn't expect for the bubbly and cheery Gwen Stacy.

I closed in on her and raised my hand, waiting for her to take it. She looked at my hand, then to my eyes, and back to my hand and held it.

"Don't worry, no matter what happen in the future, I'll always be here for you." I said with a smile.
