"Now can you at least bother to tell me what actually happened?" David lost his patience at last, as he was no longer happy with the shortened answer which his wife gave him.
"David, maybe I did something really wrong this time."
David was a little surprised. As it was the first time in his life he ever saw his wife feeling guilty about doing something, as she was always confident and righteous towards her decisions from the start. After all, she was the woman of his life which he felt so proud of being by her side.
He took her hands and led her to sit on a chair, giving her a little push to relax down.
"Tell what happened, hmm? I'm listening."
His gentle voice ought to make her feel a little eased up, but still, the restlessness which she was feeling was not something to go away so soon.
