Chapter 256: Fantasy

"Brother Jing Xuan." Tang Huai rubbed her face against Jing Xuan's clothes with her cheek.

"Tang Huai, I've missed you so much." Jing Xuan lifted his head, gently caressing the back of Tang Huai's head.

Her hair, sticky and damp, Jing Xuan felt something was off, and upon inspecting his palm, there was blood on his hand!

Jing Xuan froze, his pupils contracted, and while examining the back of Tang Huai's head, he said, "You've been injured!"

It hurt a bit when he touched his own head, and upon hearing Jing Xuan, Tang Huai wondered if the wound was bleeding.

Jing Xuan parted Tang Huai's hair to look and, indeed, there was an injury on the back of her head, bleeding quite a lot.

"You're bleeding, and you don't know it hurts?" Jing Xuan was both distressed and self-blaming, feeling guilty for not having protected her properly.

"I'll go find some smelly herbs." Jing Hua dropped a line and went out to look for the smelly herbs.
