Family

Sia woke up to meet an unfamiliar ceiling above her, looking around and trying to collect her bearings, she was met by the gaze of a man so out of this world.

His eyes were bare, rippling with color as if they witnessed the gods themselves. They were ocean eyes.

"You're awake" he grunted. It seemed he was just waking up too.

"Mmhhm" she nodded and sat up, still confused how she got to the room.

"You dozed off in the car. You snored too" Kai said looking at her in amusement.

She went red in embarrassment.

'I guess I was exhausted' she thought wondering how she could doze off in such circumstances. Well this was not the first time it was happening... she also dozed of suddenly when she arrived at the abandoned castle she took for shelter.

"Well," Kai said, standing up from the bed "You should get ready early, my family will arrive soon" he said glancing at her.

"Your family?" Sia asked her nervousness showing.

"Yeah, I have two brothers. My younger brother is coming today, with his cohort." he said rolling his eyes at the thought of the young man.

"Ah, I see" she answered. It was just his younger brother, there's no need to be nervous. In fact she was quite curious about his family. She wondered if they will have his ocean eyes too.

She got up from the bed and looked around. The house was simple, with it's most prominent colors blue and ash. They fit the owner, now it was her house too.

"The house is pretty" she said glancing at him.

Kai just smiled, but it was enough to leave the little cub ogling him in awe.

"I will prepare breakfast" he said as he got up from the bed. He was wearing the trouser from yesterday but with a different top that radiated softness. She... She felt like hugging him.

But her thought was interrupted when she heard a knock on the door. It seemed their guest has already arrived, but they were quite early no.

Kai approached the door. He was expecting them, there was no point delaying.

Opening it he was welcomed with open arms coming to him at full speed. The owner's height was probably just around his ear lobe, with various cars parked behind him.

"Ohhhh Big brother! How I missed you." A teenager with red hair and button nose embraced his brother like a new teddy. He was pale, the color of his eyes similar to his hair but still dark. He parted with him and gave him a long look.

"You don't look like a married man at all."

"Of course you dummy, he just got married yesterday remember? And they haven't even done the wedding yet." Said a man behind him. His hair packed in a short ponytail and still, dark eyes. It was hard imagining him having a good sense of humor but there he was, calling his master dummy. He was Han.

"Still..." Ren started when he caught a glimpse of a dainty figure. She looked like all those fairies in the anime he watched with Han.

"So small!! And pretty!" Ren looked like someone who had found a new toy, his eyes sparking with curiousity and wonder. He glanced at his brother.

"You didn't tell me I was older than her"

Kai really felt like facepalming, how did it get to this.

"No you're not" he said firmly.

Stretching his hand to Sia he led his guests to the living room.

The boys sat down and made themselves comfortable.

They were three in total, all with opposing features to each other, leaving the two women in to stand. One had blonde hair with a mature look and aura that reeked death but a cheerful personality nonetheless. That was probably the person his grandfather assigned to babysit the cohort.

The other woman, to be precise was a girl, she had black hair that reached her back, a heart shaped face and was around the same age as his brother and probably with his sense of humor. She looked at the house with childish curiosity and when she was satisfied, sat down on the floor.

Kai and Sia shared a couch. He cleared his his throat and started, bringing their attention to him.

"This", he said holding Sia's hand "is my wife. She is nineteen and uhh, is a water demon." He paused to see if the cohort understood and turned to Sia when he saw their nods.

"That is my brother, Ren, he's just a year younger than you. The person by his right is Han, he is his right hand man, he's three years older than you and very very reliable."

"On his left is Den, well... He's sixteen and uhh... Is a hybrid. He's my brother's matchet." He said pointing at a teen with a hair color bordering orange and yellow. His eyes were golden amber in colour with straight brows and thin lips. He looked ordinary compared to the rest of the cohort, but Sia thought twice when she heard matchet... He did the dirty work- killing.

"That woman over there is his babysitter and the girl is probably his girlfriend and is also a hybrid."

"And now, welcome to this big happy family."

Kai said ending his introduction with his iconic smile, leaving the others surprised for entirely different reasons.
