During that time, Wuliang Buddha, who had long attained enlightenment, noticed him. There was a subtle karmic connection between the two.

Dao Lord Tianji had also visited Wuliang Buddha, seeking guidance on the cycle of cause and effect, life, and death.

From Wuliang Buddha, he learned that to become an Emperor, one had to search for fragments of human origin source of the heavenly realm. Though humans were weak, they still possessed their own fragments of origin source, albeit only considered as destiny shards, far from reaching the level of true origin source.

However, with a sufficient number of humans, they still constituted a part of the world's origin source.
