"This..." Owl Eagle raised his head in confusion, staring at her blushing face, then turned his gaze to Liam Yancey behind her. He caught sight of the red blood vessels in the man's eyes and felt a shock. He had a vague hunch of what was happening but hesitated, unsure how to answer her.
"No shutting!" Tara Summer, seeing his hesitation, made a rare authoritative statement.
"Yes." Owl Eagle's brows furrowed tightly, yet he had no choice but to reluctantly agree.
Just as his words fell, he heard a deep hum from the man. Owl Eagle quickly looked up to see Liam Yancey glaring at him, eyes cold and fierce.
The next second, Liam Yancey's long arm reached out and, in one swoop, pulled the woman back to him, pressing her tightly against his chest.
"Shut it!" He coldly ordered Owl Eagle, his voice a suppressed rasp, sounding like torn silk. His eyes were dark and sly.
Owl Eagle's face darkened, and he quickly prepared to lower the partition.
