If It Was, I Wouldn't Be Here

Shanzina Merxado

After a few good hours of wandering about the campus, it was safe to say that a lot of areas around the main campus weren’t well introduced to us on move-in day.

I found myself standing at the outdoor dining hall of the university. It looked like a restaurant with a light brown deck made of wood. Shiny round tables were evenly placed around, paired with dark lavender chairs that highly contrasted the white color, six each. Some were rectangular, with benches that lined the glass wall of the hall.

In the middle sat a stone fountain, shielded by a glass roof held up with poles, where ivy grew to the middle of them.

Past the deck was a small stairway that led to another eating area. Only this time, it was stone, maybe marble, round tables, and the benches dug into the grass. Brick pathways led straight to them, surrounding the area.
