Humiliated Liam

After this verbal exchange, Liam's face alternated between shades of green and blue.

In the past, Olivia had always been scolding Ryan, but now her firepower had completely shifted to Liam. He couldn't afford to fall out with his mother-in-law and argue openly, so he suddenly got a taste of the kind of feeling Ryan had experienced before.

Grinding his teeth, Liam said, "Mom, don't be fooled by him. This guy has nothing to his name. Where does he get all that money? He must've used credit cards and online loans to scrape it together."

"And now that he's unemployed, how is he going to pay it back? Don't even mention his measly salary. It probably can't even cover the interest."
