Welcome Back, Kenneth Lee

The second half began with both teams eager to break the deadlock. Tottenham resumed their high-intensity pressing, forcing City to stay alert in possession.

In the 48th minute, Eric Dier spotted Harry Kane making a clever run behind City's defense. Dier played an incisive through ball toward Kane, who controlled it brilliantly before firing past Joe Hart. However, the assistant referee raised his flag—Kane was caught offside.

City responded by slowing the tempo, circulating the ball across the backline to counter Tottenham's pressing. Yet, in the 53rd minute, Erik Lamela took matters into his own hands. He received the ball outside the box, took a touch, and unleashed a powerful strike. Unfortunately for Tottenham, the shot was blocked by Mangala, who threw himself into the line of fire.

City built up momentum and began pushing forward. In the 57th minute, David Silva delivered a pinpoint pass to Sergio Aguero, who twisted past Vertonghen and fired a shot. Eric Dier slid in with a last-ditch block, deflecting the ball out for a corner.

Just a minute later, Kenneth Lee had a golden opportunity. He received a pass from Fernandinho at the edge of the box, skipped past Bentaleb with a quick turn, and took aim at the bottom corner. Yet again, Tottenham's defense stood tall as Danny Rose slid in to block Kenneth's attempt.

City's frustrations grew as chances continued to go begging. In the 63rd minute, Aguero found himself with space just outside the penalty area after a neat pass from David Silva. The Argentine aimed for the top corner but dragged his shot wide of the post, holding his head in his hands as the crowd groaned.

The match took a physical turn in the 65th minute when Kenneth Lee drove into Tottenham's half with determination. Erik Lamela lunged in with a late challenge, sending Kenneth sprawling to the ground. The referee blew his whistle and awarded a free kick to City, but no card was shown, much to the frustration of Pellegrini on the sidelines.

In the 68th minute, Zabaleta joined the attack, playing a one-two with Silva before darting into the box. He unleashed a powerful low shot, but Hugo Lloris was quick to react, diving low to his left to make a spectacular save and keep Tottenham in the game.

Manchester City produced their most exquisite move of the match in the 70th minute, a sequence of play that left Tottenham's defenders chasing shadows.

It began deep in City's half, where Kenneth Lee picked up the ball near the center circle. With his head up, Kenneth orchestrated the play, spraying a perfectly weighted diagonal pass out to Gael Clichy on the left flank.

Clichy controlled it expertly, taking a moment to assess his options before driving forward. As Clichy advanced, Aguero dropped deep, dragging Vertonghen out of position and creating space in the Tottenham defense. Clichy played a quick one-two with Kenneth, who had moved into a pocket of space.

Receiving the return pass, Kenneth displayed his remarkable awareness, using a deft first touch to turn away from Eriksen and open up the pitch. Spotting Milner darting into the penalty area, Kenneth delivered a clever, incisive pass through the narrowest of gaps between Fazio and Danny Rose.

Milner, timing his run to perfection, burst into the box and found himself one-on-one with Hugo Lloris.

The ball arrived slightly behind him, forcing Milner to adjust his body mid-stride. With his weaker left foot, he struck the ball low and hard, aiming for the far corner.

But Hugo Lloris, Tottenham's indomitable last line of defense, had other ideas. The French goalkeeper showcased his incredible reflexes, diving at full stretch to his right and getting the faintest of touches on the ball.

Lloris once again became a wall that prevented Manchester City's goal.

The rebound spun dangerously across the six-yard box, but before Sergio Aguero or Kenneth could react, Nabil Bentaleb swooped in with a desperate clearance, hammering the ball out of the penalty area.

In the 71st minute, Paulinho came on to replace Ryan Mason.

Zabaleta threw the ball back to Demichelis. Manchester City slowed down the tempo after multiple failed attacks. This allowed Kenneth to catch his breath and recover some stamina.

After several minutes of patient passing, City initiated another attack. Mangala played the ball back to Joe Hart, drawing Tottenham's forwards to press high. Hart launched a pass to the left side, finding Clichy.

Clichy controlled the ball and sent it to the center. Fernando received it and passed to Kenneth, who dropped deep to collect. Paulinho, fresh on the field, aggressively marked Kenneth.

Kenneth calmly passed left to Clichy, who found space to push forward. Advancing near the penalty area, Clichy pulled the ball back to avoid Lamela's challenge and passed to Kenneth.

City's earlier movement had forced Tottenham's defense deep, leaving space in midfield. Kenneth adjusted with one touch and struck a thunderous shot from outside the box.

The ball rocketed past the players, heading toward the bottom-right corner. Lloris dived, stretching to reach it, but the shot—enhanced by Kenneth's skill—was unstoppable.

The ball slammed into the net, shaking the Tottenham goal.

Kenneth froze for a moment, then broke into a sprint toward the away section. Reaching the corner, he stretched his arms wide, tilting his head slightly as he soaked in the roaring adulation. The Manchester City fans erupted.

"Kenneth Lee!"

"Lee!"

"What a goal!"

they roared, waving scarves and jumping in celebration.

Aguero chased Kenneth, clapping and shouting, "That is Incredible, Lee!"

Milner followed, patting Kenneth on the back. "Welcome back, Lee!" he said, grinning.

The goal shattered the hearts of Tottenham fans. In such an intense match, that strike was enough to seal the victory.

Exhausted, Kenneth was substituted for Samir Nasri. Tottenham also made a change, bringing on Roberto Soldado for Eriksen.

When play resumed, Tottenham launched an all-out attack against City. Joe Hart and the City defenders worked tirelessly to protect their lead.

Tottenham managed to create several chances, but none were converted into goals. In the end, no additional goals were scored, and Manchester City successfully stole all three points at White Hart Lane.
