[1st POV]
"Detective."
Lucifer called out to me.
"Lucifer... Morningstar. Honestly, I didn't expect to meet the devil here. I completely forgot you existed in this world."
"I see you took my words seriously. That's good to hear. Detective Decker doesn't, not at all. Despite what they might say about me, I never lie. In fact, I despise lies. What about you?"
"I don't like them either but I do resort to various verbal tricks during interrogations or when dealing with the 'freaks' from Gotham."
"I see, I see. Well, I think we both understand that we'd like to know a bit more about each other. Am I right?"
"Yes."
"Then I think we can move to first names?"
"I'm fine with that."
"Wonderful!"
He said, staring into my eyes.
"Now, who are you? And what are your purposes in this city?"
"Ding!"

A slight tingling in my head, but I didn't want to speak openly with him.
Did the player's mind defense work against Lucifer?
That's interesting...
"Don't use your abilities on me. They won't work on me. If you have any questions about me, I'd be happy to answer them."
Once again, Lucifer's expression shifted again, and a friendly face appeared again.
"You've surprised me. This usually doesn't work on angels or Detective Decker."
"I'm not an angel or a demon. I'm a human, but not an ordinary one. If you're wondering if I work for your father or was sent by him, the answer is no. I'm not connected to HIM. However, I am connected to another side. As for you, Lucifer, I have no intention of interfering with or causing you harm. In fact, I can tell you much more, but it requires time and a place. Not here."
"Then I propose my club, 'Lux.' with all the drinks are free. I feel like you have much to tell me."
"And I will, but I suggest we play fair."
"So, what do you mean?
"A question-answer game: you ask me questions, and I ask you questions. I'm just as curious about you and this world."
"Fair enough."
He nodded.
"Here's my business card, with the club address. I'll make sure you're escorted directly to me."
Afterwards, he left.
The first round of negotiations with the Devil had been successful. I just had to arrive at his place and extract the needed information.

I hope I get something else good besides charisma…
...
It was closer to night when Renee and I finished reviewing the documents.
We were about to head to the hotel, but I decided to stay behind.
She asked, "Where are you going?"
I answered that I needed to meet with Lucifer to get some information that could potentially help us in the future.
After a brief hesitation, she let me go. She was exhausted from the stressful work, and she wanted to rest.
I took a bus and went to the club using the address he gave.
After my introduction, the club's security guards immediately escorted me to the upper floor of a high-rise building.
There, I was greeted by Lucifer and a lady with olive skin, brown eyes that seemed to pierce right through me, and an outfit I couldn't quite identify.
It was either a dress, a swimsuit with shorts, or half-pants with a bra. In any case, I left it to guess what it was.
As I approached them, I scanned them with my "Observation."

"Ah, our guest has arrived."
Lucifer smiled.
"Come in, what do you want to drink?"
"Whiskey."
"Mazikeen, bring our guest a whiskey."
"It's nice to meet you, Isaac Dinklage."
"Mazikeen, Lucifer's bodyguard and also the bartender of this pit."
She muttered tiredly, walking over to the mini-bar.
"This is pretty a lovely establishment."
Lucifer joked, "So, Isaac, glad you came. I've got a lot of questions for you."
"As do I for you."
"I remember the agreement, you ask a question, I give an answer. I ask a question, you give an answer..."
"... And most importantly, both of us, of course, give truthful answers."
"Of course."
Mazikeen brought me whiskey while Lucifer was drinking wine.
Then, we began our "negotiations."
Lucifer's first question is who am I?
I answered as honestly as I could, explaining that I was a transmigration into this body from another world but without "freaks."
The only thing I didn't mention was that this is D.C. or that this world is likely artificially created.
Well, I don't really know how this world could exist, I just made that assumption.
Then I asked him how he ended up on Earth even though I already had a pretty good idea.
He got tired of being the big boss in Hell and decided to leave and have some fun here.
However, I still wanted to hear the story directly from the source, and the answer was almost the same as the one on the show.
He told me even more than I expected about the Silver City, Hell, his "family," and some funny stories from his life.
In the end, our conversation shifted from official, important matters to more personal topics, including Detective Decker.
This was precisely what I needed.
