KIERAN 

'This is about Amelia, right?'

Edwina had known. While I was still trying to get myself together, she had known what I was going to talk about.

'There's no need to pretend, Kieran. Amelia mailed the test result to me.'

I should have known that snake was going to cause more trouble for me. Amelia had sent the results to Edwina, and I had just made a total spectacle of myself to the woman whose heart I was planning to win back.

'You disgust me'

Those words had pierced my heart in a way it had never been pierced before, and I had to fight back the wave of shame, guilt, regret, pain, and all of those feelings.

I had only wanted to tell her in the best way possible that we needed to put our dates on hold. I knew she would ask questions, and I had been planning on being as vague as possible.
