50 Power Stones = Another chapter
After leaving the Davis-Bance store, Eisen still hadn't fully recovered from his thoughts.
He had come to realize that, if he remained indifferent, the plot might not change drastically for a year or two. However, if he crafted an enhanced looking glass and gave it to Dumbledore, the story could be entirely derailed. Dumbledore would likely discover Peter Pettigrew through the enhanced looking glass, which would exonerate Sirius Black.
With Dumbledore's influence, Sirius would undoubtedly be cleared of all charges. As for Pettigrew, Eisen suspected he would be imprisoned in Azkaban rather than executed. This, of course, would ruin the entire plot of the third book.
Furthermore, the false Moody in the fourth book wouldn't stand a chance of hiding from Dumbledore, which would prevent Harry from being secretly entered into the Triwizard Tournament and transported to Voldemort. If Pettigrew were locked away, Voldemort might not even have a chance to be resurrected. As a result, the fourth book's plot would be completely derailed too.
Without Voldemort's revival, the Death Eaters wouldn't have a reason to act in subsequent stories. Was this story going to end before it even began?
Eisen placed his hands on his forehead, but then reconsidered. Dumbledore, being so cautious, would still want to destroy all of Voldemort's Horcruxes to ensure his defeat, even if Voldemort was reduced to a wisp of a soul hiding in Albania.
However, this presented a crucial problem: part of Voldemort's soul was accidentally transferred to Harry, making him a Horcrux. Thus, for Voldemort to be truly vanquished, Harry might still have to face him, just as he did in the original story.
Eisen now realized he needed to think carefully about handing over the enhanced looking glass to Dumbledore. If he did decide to give it to him, he'd need a sound plan.
As he considered this, Eisen found himself sympathizing with Voldemort in a way. Not because he agreed with him, but because Voldemort's vision seemed so limited.
Voldemort created Horcruxes and then entrusted them to his followers, thus increasing the chances of discovery. Eisen imagined an alternative: if Voldemort had hidden his Horcruxes in remote and extreme locations like Antarctica, deserts, or even the Marianas Trench, protected with powerful spells, no one would have ever found them.
Taking it further, if Eisen had been in Voldemort's position, he would have considered attaching a Horcrux to the Voyager 1 probe, sending it billions of kilometers away from Earth. In that scenario, no one could summon it back.
Granted, there would be risks of destruction from the harsh environment of space. But Eisen thought those were worth considering, compared to the potential advantage of being unreachable.
Voldemort's arrogance likely stemmed from his pure-blood beliefs and his heritage as a Slytherin, as well as his disdain for Muggle methods. Ironically, Eisen found himself glad that Voldemort wasn't that clever; otherwise, dealing with him would be nearly impossible.
Returning his thoughts to the present, Eisen shook his head with a slight smile. "Why am I, a mere professor, thinking about the savior's fate as if it's my responsibility? What a failure," he muttered.
At the corner of Hogsmeade's main street, the Pig's Head Inn came into view. Looking inside, Eisen saw no one except an elderly man with gray hair and a long white beard reminiscent of Dumbledore's. This must be Aberforth Dumbledore, the innkeeper and Professor Dumbledore's younger brother, who still held a grudge due to the tragic loss of their sister, Ariana.
Eisen sighed. In the wizarding world, everyone had their own story, filled with both joy and sorrow.
Once inside, Eisen observed the shabby condition of the Pig's Head. Dirt was thick on the windows and floors, and even the butterbeer bottles were dusty. Surprisingly, though, the air was filled with the appetizing scent of mutton.
"Can I help you with anything?" the old man asked, giving Eisen a scrutinizing look as if trying to assess him.
"Yes, I'd like a beer while I wait for someone," Eisen replied.
The old man nodded and brought him a glass of beer shortly after.
Time passed slowly, and Eisen sat quietly, patiently waiting. When three o'clock approached, a smile appeared on his face.
He had already noticed Arthur's figure approaching the inn.
At exactly three, Arthur entered the Pig's Head and made his way over to Eisen.
