Chapter 22: The First Genius of the Village
As the early morning sun rose over Konoha, the first rays of light streaked across the quiet streets, casting long shadows that danced around the village along with the cry of roosters . A young boy, no older than nine, sprinted through the winding paths with determined steps. This was Akira, and to him, it was just another day of training. For the past few months, he'd devoted himself to his growth, pushing his body and mind beyond their limits. Today, however, felt different.
Akira could feel his strength growing significantly in the past few months . The system had granted him achievements for each milestone he'd reached—like when he 'created' the Rasengan. That particular feat had earned him the Skilled Copycat achievement, and when he'd convinced Grandma Mito to teach him, he'd gained the Master Actor title. With each achievement and increasing age, he noticed that his rewards grew as well, now giving him as much as 20 points at a time. On top of that, he could gain around 5 points each month just through consistent training.
After saving up over 100 points, Akira knew today was the day he'd finally allocate them, he had waited long for this, it wasn't that he couldn't have added them as soon as he received them, but the feeling of suddenly getting stronger was just too exhilarating.
Returning home, he closed his eyes and activated his status.
---
STATUS:
Strength: 24
Agility: 25
Defense: 24
Physique: 70 + 50 -> 120
Mental Strength: 70 + 50 -> 120
Chakra: 1400 + 1000 -> 2400 (Jonin level: 2000-5000)
Remaining points: 100 -> 0
---
As the points took effect, Akira felt a surge of warmth spread throughout his entire body. His muscles felt stronger, more responsive, and his chakra reserves swelled within him, more abundant than ever. Now, with a chakra level had properly reached that of a jonin, he knew he was stepping into new territory. He was just nine years old, yet he had already reached a level that would typically take years of dedicated shinobi training to achieve.
Even Kakashi had only reached jonin at twelve—Akira couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment at having reached this stage at such a young age. While he wasn't quite on the level of those legendary reincarnators who became god-like at age ten, he was still on track to reach six paths level by the time the original storyline rolled around.
In addition to his chakra boost, his achievements had granted him specific abilities that complemented his growth. He'd even gained enhanced reaction speed, and as he had received this reward previously he found that rewards can be stacked, now his reaction speed had become comparable to someone like Minato Namikaze. And that wasn't all, his chakra purification technique had further refined his reserves, increasing their potency by nearly fifty percent. This meant his 2400 points of chakra were equivalent to 3600 in terms of effectiveness, though he did notice the purification process slowing. It seemed that it wouldn't be a limitless upgrade, but he intended to make the most of it while he could.
For the past few months, Akira had also been under Grandma Mito's tutelage. What had begun as casual lessons had grown into an intense focus on fuinjutsu, the art of sealing techniques. Akira quickly learned that fuinjutsu was unlike regular ninjutsu—it wasn't about simple hand signs or bursts of chakra. It was complex, almost like writing codes, requiring a high level of precision in both calligraphy and calculations.
Having no experience with complex coding systems in his past life, it wasn't easy at first. He'd been a pizza baker, after all, not a tech genius. Yet, with Mito's guidance, he had progressed far faster than most would. She often praised his natural talent for sealing, saying he had potential even in a field as intricate as fuinjutsu. Now, he could create basic seals like storage scrolls and detonating talismans, and he was gaining confidence in the basics of fuinjutsu.
His relationship with Mito had also grown. She treated him almost like her own grandson, with a kindness and patience that he found invaluable. And, in return, he'd shared his 'creation' of the Rasengan with her and Tsunade. While it took Tsunade three months to master it, Mito picked it up in just five days—a show of her incredible skill.
The news of him creating the Rasengan had spread throughout Konoha. Even the Second Hokage had taken the time to personally commend him, and soon enough, word of his skill reached nearly everyone in the village. People had begun calling him the First Genius of the Village. The title came with an achievement and the most powerful reward he'd gained yet.

Achievement Unlocked: The First Genius of the Village
Reward: 20 points, Healing Factor (Wolverine)
---
Akira couldn't help but marvel at this latest reward. Healing factors weren't too rare in this world, but this was Wolverine's healing ability. It was on a completely different level—he wouldn't need to worry about injuries in the future , and no matter how intense his training became he wouldn't have to worry about strains and hidden wounds. Theoretically, this ability could even allow him to spam techniques like the Eight Inner Gates without the usual life-threatening risks, after all Wolverine's healing factor was much better even when compared to someone like the ninja god, Senju Hashirama himself.
He still planned to study medical ninjutsu, but more to keep his healing abilities hidden than to rely on it to save his life. His accelerated regeneration rendered conventional healing almost unnecessary now, and he felt more confident than ever that he could handle whatever lay ahead.
---
"Hey, Akira! Open up!" Tsunade's voice cut through his thoughts, loud and impatient from outside the door. Shaking himself from his reverie, Akira closed his status panel and hurried to the door, opening it to find Tsunade glaring at him.
"Hey, Tsunade. What's got you here so early?" he asked, feigning innocence as he tried to gauge her mood.
"'What's got me here'?" she repeated incredulously, arms crossed. "Have you forgotten already? We have to go to the Academy! Do you even remember we have school today?"
Akira's eyes widened in sudden realization. School. How could he have forgotten? "Oh, right! Give me a second!" he shouted, rushing back inside to grab his belongings, stuffing his scrolls and supplies into his bag.
As he dashed past Tsunade, he couldn't resist calling out, "Let's go! Quick—you're making us late!"
Tsunade's face flushed as she chased after him, yelling, "Argh! Don't act like I'm the one who's late! Just you wait, Akira!"
Laughing, he glanced back, knowing she'd catch up in seconds.
