Frustration and Bliss

A/n:( i tried making mc for grounded with knowledge

lemme know your thoughts)

After three days of camping with Leah and her family, we were finally back at the house. The time spent outdoors had been amazing—setting up tents, hiking trails, and sitting around the campfire were highlights that I'd never forget. However, I hadn't had any time to train during those days, which nagged at me. I enjoyed the company of Leah, Harry, Sue, and Seth, but my mind kept drifting to my abilities. I felt the pressure to master my powers, especially after realizing how much I still needed to learn.

It was the morning after we returned, and I found myself seated at the kitchen table, flipping through an old book about supernatural phenomena. I had grown restless with all the thoughts swirling in my head, particularly regarding thunder.

"Thunder…" I muttered to myself. I had already mastered my control over lightning, evolving it beyond the usual blue spectrum, but thunder? It eluded me. I had the sense that it was more than just a sound, a byproduct of lightning. There had to be something deeper to it.

"I'm going into town," I announced to Leah's family, who were busy preparing breakfast. "I want to check out the library and see if I can find anything useful."

Sue looked up, a smile forming on her face. "Sounds like a great idea, Jaxon. Learning never stops!"

I nodded, glancing at Leah, who caught my gaze and gave me a small smile. She understood the real reason I was going. We'd talked the night before about my need to train and explore my abilities more deeply, and I was eager to get started.

As I made my way to town, the streets of Forks were quiet, the morning sun peeking through the clouds. The air smelled fresh and clean, and I felt a sense of comfort in the familiar surroundings. Upon arriving at the library, I walked through the tall wooden doors, greeted by the warm scent of old books and polished wood.

I wandered through the aisles, scanning the titles until I found a section dedicated to ancient mythology and natural phenomena. I grabbed a few books that seemed relevant and settled into a cozy corner.

Hours passed as I flipped through page after page. Most of the information was either outdated or too vague to be useful. My frustration grew as I read passages describing thunder as "the sound of the gods' wrath" or "the echo of divine forces." There had to be more to it than that.

"What does it even do?" I muttered, running a hand through my hair. I tapped my fingers on the table, searching for answers that just weren't there.

Finally, I leaned back in my chair, staring at the library ceiling. "There's got to be something I'm missing," I said aloud to no one in particular.

After an hour of fruitless searching, I decided to call it a day. I left the library feeling defeated, my mind still swirling with questions. As I walked back to Leah's house, I knew I had to figure this out, but I also knew I needed her support.

When I returned, Leah and Seth were sprawled out on the living room floor, playing video games, while Harry and Sue prepared dinner in the kitchen. "I'm back!" I announced as I stepped inside.

"Did you find anything interesting?" Leah asked, glancing over her shoulder with curiosity.

I shook my head, letting out a small sigh. "Not really. A lot of old legends, but nothing that really explained thunder."

She tilted her head, her expression turning serious. "Don't worry, Jaxon. You'll figure it out. You always do."

I smiled at her words, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Thanks. I just wish I had clearer answers."

"Let's take a break from all that," Leah suggested, standing up and brushing her hair behind her ear. "Why don't we hang out for a bit? It's nice to be back."

"Sounds good to me," I replied, feeling grateful for the distraction.

As we settled on the couch together, Leah pulled out some snacks from the kitchen and we began chatting about everything and nothing. I loved these moments, just being able to talk freely without any pressures weighing down on us.

After some time, I noticed Leah's eyes sparkle with mischief. "So, what have you been working on?" she asked, leaning in closer. "Another song?"

I hesitated, feeling a flutter of nerves. I had been writing some new lyrics but wasn't sure how they would be received. "I've been trying to put together something new," I admitted.

"Can I hear it?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

I took a deep breath and began softly, "I know you're somewhere out there, somewhere far away… I want you back, I want you back."

Leah's expression softened as she listened, her eyes wide with anticipation. I continued, letting the lyrics flow more confidently, "My neighbors think I'm crazy, but they don't understand… You're all I had, you're all I had."

When I finished that part, I glanced at her. She looked spellbound, hanging on every word. "That's beautiful," she whispered. "But you can't leave me hanging like that! I want to hear the rest!"

I couldn't help but chuckle, enjoying her eagerness. "You'll have to wait for the release… or maybe a concert. Who knows?"

Leah groaned playfully, leaning against me with a pout. "You can't tease me like that!"

I grinned, teasing her further. "Patience. It'll be worth the wait, I promise."

We shared a laugh before we settled back into comfortable silence. The evening wore on, and soon it was time for everyone to wind down. We moved to her room, the familiar surroundings bringing me a sense of calm. As the night settled in, we cuddled under the covers, her warmth pressed against me as I wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

I felt a sense of peace as we drifted off to sleep, with her next to me. I knew tomorrow would bring another chance to train, to figure out the use of thunder, but for now, I wanted to savor this moment.

Eventually, I succumbed to sleep, the song still echoing in my mind. I knew I had to figure out what the vibration entailed.

For now, perhaps I should focus on something else. I shouldn't dwell too much on this matter and instead appreciate what I had already gained.
