Chapter 64 : The Tail Seal!!

"Ahhhh! It's so hot! So hot!"

Anko cried out as she rolled on the ground. Soon, a layer of blue flames burning on her body was forcibly drawn away and absorbed by a cat.

The cat looked like an orange tabby but was completely blue, decorated with flame patterns, and had a fluffy, bushy tail that swished behind it.

After swallowing the flames, the cat burped and rubbed its belly.

"Give up! This woman is too stupid to handle my power," the blue cat suddenly spoke.

Kagetsu, who was using medical ninjutsu to treat Anko's injuries, felt a chill in his heart. Just as he expected, Anko exploded in anger.

"Who's too stupid? Anyone who touches your fat cat power ends up either burned to ashes or blown to the sky!" Anko glared at the cat.

The cat's eyes turned dangerous in an instant. It curled up and arched its back as if ready to pounce, baring its sharp little teeth, seemingly about to leap at Anko's neck.

"New cat food!"

Kagetsu's unexpected comment caused the furious cat to return to its normal demeanor. It licked its paw and cast a cold glance at Anko.

"I'm not a cat! Don't compare me to those ninja cats," the cat corrected Kagetsu. It knew this correction wouldn't matter much, but it felt it needed to assert itself.

It was just born in a cat form. Just like the giant nine-tailed fox in the village, was it really a true fox?

Although they looked different, they belonged to the same category: tailed beasts!

"Does it have to be your power?" Anko looked at the cat. The first time she met it, she had teased it with fish balls and dried fish, thinking it was a pet Kagetsu had recently adopted.

When she later found out the cat could talk, she was shocked but accepted it as some kind of clever ninja beast. 

It wasn't until she realized this cat was the Nibi (Two-Tails) that she completely lost it. Even after Kagetsu explained that it was part of the Nibi, she still felt terrified.

But right now, all she wanted was to have an epic battle with this fat cat.

"This is my research! If you can find me another tailed beast, I'd be happy to trade," Kagetsu said as he stepped back after healing Anko.

"It's too painful." Remembering the awful feeling of that power burning her from the inside out, Anko shuddered.

"Then do you want to give up?" Kagetsu asked in response.

Anko's body trembled as she locked eyes with the cat-eared creature squatting on the ground, which regarded her with disdain. Gritting her teeth, she said, "Continue."

"I've removed the tailed beast's will from your chakra. It's now just a mass of pure chakra. You don't need to fight against the tailed beast's will or worry about its interference. All you have to do is control it and turn it into your own power," said Kagetsu.

Kagetsu took out a scroll, opened it, and pulled out a piece of blue, scale-like skin. The skin had black flame patterns and faint traces of sealing techniques.

"Control it like you control your own chakra. Don't treat it as something foreign," Kagetsu reminded her again. With Anko's determined expression, Kagetsu used medical ninjutsu to graft the skin onto Anko's arm, connecting it to her body's meridians and nerves.

Anko took a deep breath, feeling the hot chakra burning in her arm. She repeatedly hypnotized herself, adjusting the fusion of her chakra with the foreign chakra based on Kagetsu's advice and her previous failures.

Though it wasn't a cat, it still held a grudge!
