Two hours after the banquet ended, Briar heaved with relief as she watched the car leaving the mansion. That was her mother-in-law being sent to the ancestral home.

She had truly overexerted herself and just wanted to take a well-needed rest.

Watching her heaving with relief was Logan, who chuckled amusingly, finding her reaction very cute and pretty too much honest.

"Mother is gone. Let's go inside. You need to rest!" Logan called out to Briar, who turned around to face him with a shy expression.
