Sequence 7 : Cryptologist.

Arriving at the Black Manor after taking care to get rid of any tails that could've been on him from the gathering, Loki immediately went to the basement and pulled out the Blasphemy Card that corresponded with the Error Pathway.

He looked over the potion ingredients one final time as he began to prepare them.

On the card was a woman who was looking at a set of footprints with the help of a magnifying glass and in the distance was an eldritch horror that stepped through a forest making those footprints.

It portrayed the ease with which it was possible for a Sequence 7 Cryptologist to encounter trouble if they weren't prepared and Loki felt it was apt for the sequence.

'At least I will have a little bit more brain on me by the end of this potion.' Loki thought as he went back to looking at the ingredients and preparing them.

But before he could prepare further, Loki felt a disturbance in the spirituality in the area as the fabric of space tore open in front of him and a small Niffler stepped out of it.

"Damn! Just what mission did you send me on!!?? I was nearly spotted!" Sunny immediately complained.

"Tell me, did you hear anything of substance?"

"No. The house was empty after you left and both the butler and Mr. X never spoke to each other.", Sunny said casually.

"Really? Nothing?" Loki asked with a worried look on his face.

He turned around and looked at the wanted poster he'd taken, each of the peddlers who'd joined the group was given one, and broke into a sweat.

"Why are they behind me!? What have I done to them? I mean I know I killed Mr. A, but they shouldn't have connected it to my alias as Gehrman Sparrow."

Sunny shrugged.

"*sigh* well let's advance for now. I can worry about these troubles later. After all truly strong people don't need to worry about pests."

Loki looked at the blasphemy card that was strewn in front of him and laughed a little, "Haha~ I'm calling what is probably a sequence 5 Beyonder a pest. My overconfidence knows no bounds."

Loki picked up a beaker and placed it on the burner.

"A hundred drops of Pure Water." Loki said as he poured in pure water from a flask that had the exact premeasured amount inside it.

"A Sphinx Eyeball." Lifting the soft fleshy eyeball by the bundle of nerves connected to it Loki dropped it into the beaker.

"Four Runespoor scales." Loki counted the scales and dropped them into the beaker.

"A Hundred Drops of Rose Oil." Counting the correct amount, Loki poured it into the breaker and for the first time, the individual elements began to sizzle and liquify.

"Four Nettle Leaves." Picking a stalk with exactly four leaves. Loki found himself dropping the leaves into the beaker and watched as they all liquified and became more like the potion he would soon drink.

"Seven drops of Dragon blood.", Loki said pouring remarkably crimson blood into the beaker, allowing everything inside it to begin to boil.

The potion was still a little off from its picture in the Card of Blasphemy but that was only because Loki had yet to drop the last ingredient into it.

"Forty Five Horned Slug horns.", Loki said dropping the final ingredient as if he were performing a complicated ritual.

The potion in front of him immediately turned a bright green and Loki found himself staring at the potion with bright eyes.

"What are you waiting for? Go on? Drink it then!?" Sunny said breaking Loki out of his stupor.

Loki nodded and picked up the beaker that was a little warm to the touch and brought it close to his mouth before like always, gulping the entire potion in a single mouthful.

The same thing happened to him once again.

Deep and mad raving assaulted his ears as he felt he was losing control.

The words, "Hogwarts…Walburga…" resounded among these screams and caused him to feel dissociated from his body.

Loki immediately used cogitation to quell the side effects but found himself feeling a little breathless.

He felt as if his body could split into a million pieces and yet he'd be fine, even though it sounded illogical it felt that way.

Everything in his vision felt like it was swimming before he used cogitation to help him get things to stabilise.

As Loki looked at any random object he felt his mind spin through a million thoughts and notice things about the object that he'd never noticed before.

He could see the cracks, scratches and soft dents on the object to conclude how many times and how the object had fallen before.

His brain worked fast enough to retrace the shadows and lights around himself to give him a full three-hundred-sixty-degree vision that allowed him to 'see' everything around him.

And his brain was doing all this casually.

It felt like he was putting no effort into any of it.

It felt intoxicating.

Another little thing that Loki instinctively knew was just how easy or hard it would be for him to steal particular objects in his vision.

He had gained a rudimentary form of divination that increased his spiritual intuition regarding thefts.

With a wave of his hand, Loki hid his body and created a projection of himself a little beside him as he followed Sunny's stunned gaze which appeared to be a little confused about how he had suddenly changed his position.

His control over illusions however was not the only thing that had improved. Firstly they could now also produce sound, given how Sunny was speaking with the illusion.

Second and most importantly, he could see Sunny's Body of Heart and Mind and recognise certain thoughts floating at its edges.

He could see exactly how puzzled Sunny was.

But that wasn't all that made him feel better.

When he used his spiritual intuition to predict Sunny's thoughts, he could predict exactly what Sunny was about to do.

His intuition could predict exactly how things were going to change in the next few moments given how fast his brain was processing all the information around him.

He felt like he could see moments into the future.

"Ha~ Hahaha~ I feel awesome.", Loki mumbled under his breath as he dispelled his illusion and caused Sunny to turn and look at him.

"Is this how you've been feeling all this time?" Loki asked since Sunny had been a sequence 7 before he was.

"Haha~ you're happy with just that much. Once you become a sequence 6 your mind will be blown! Mid-sequence Beyonders are on another level completely." Sunny said with a laugh.

"I see.", Loki mumbled as he clenched his hands and unclenched them, he could feel he had grown a little stronger too. Not by much mind you, but it was there. He felt he could tank a hit from a slow-moving car on his own now. "Good."
