Ch 68: Asking for help

"I'm sorry, Miss. My partner did not have any intention of offending you. He's new in the force and often does not have a filter over his words. If anything he said offended you, please file a complaint."

The second officer hissed at the blond officer before apologizing to Lisa.

But she did not feel offended by what happened.

If anything, Lisa did not mind answering such questions since she had nothing to hide. There was nothing illegal going on here.

"The rest of the staff is preparing ingredients in the back. They are still here, so I am not working alone. If you want to meet them, can I call for them?"

Lisa asked the officers, but they quickly assured her it was not the case.

"No, it's fine! I just wanted to ensure you were not being bullied at work. It is quite common for people to push their work on others while they relax after all."

Officer Justin looked guilty when he spoke. It seemed as if he had practiced this as well.
