System Finally Making its threat Known!

As he looked at the system panel before him, he realized that he had gained a lot during this period and his artistic conception of slaughter had reached the midstages. Perhaps even if he continued to hunt and kill, it wouldn't be able to make any progress. What was left was no longer just about slaughter, rather he needed some chance to gain an epiphany.

"Finally couldn't help yourself anymore!" Wang Lu sneered as he looked at the massive collection of resources they had gathered.

"With these resources, I should be able to go another step further, at the same time I have the feeling it would be impossible to continue to improve without breaking down the heavenly gate." Wang Lu thought to himself as he sorted out everything. 

"An excellent predator will always create a suitable environment for their prey! Hearing her brother's words, Wang Yue could only nod as she started to stuff herself with the resources she trained. She could already see that they were probably going to be in this place for a while. Resources collected for an entire year were not something to be looked down upon. 

The good thing about body training was that as long as resources matched the needs were present, improving was not a problem; the only problem was withstanding the pain that comes with it. 

But for someone like Wang Lu and Wang Yue pain was not part of their fears at all. If that were the case, it would have been better to stop practicing altogether. It would be a lie to say that Wang Yue was having it easy, but she has gotten used to it, and the resources just helped speed things up.

Time passed like this and before he knew it, three months had gone by already. 

It took this long before a drastic change happened and it was on Wang Yue's side.

She was suddenly shrouded in darkness, and it spread outwards for a while before it eventually stopped. 

Whatever it was that she had managed to awaken seemed to have something to do with darkness, and she didn't appear to be in any pain in the slightest.

Looking at the resources still at her disposal, she was conflicted, but eventually decided against using them at the moment. She could tell they would be very useful in healing injuries. 

She kept them and started to practice, as she wanted to control the new power she had gained already.
