A camper van was driving along a snow-covered, deserted road. After a while, the girl touched her stomach.
"Do you have anything to eat?"
Logan didn't answer. He simply pulled a loaf of bread from the storage cabinet beside him.
Seeing the bread, the girl quickly took off her gloves and began devouring it without hesitation. She wore a blissful expression, as though she hadn't eaten in a long time.
This instantly stirred a sense of pity in Logan as he drove. How long had this girl gone without food?
After a moment, the girl removed her hat, revealing a delicate face.
"My name's Rogue."
Clearly, Rogue wanted to strike up a conversation with Logan. But Logan merely took a puff from his cigar and remained silent.
The talkative Rogue noticed the dog tag hanging around Logan's neck.
The tag read "Wolverine."
"Were you in the military?"
Logan remained quiet, so Rogue continued, "Doesn't that tag mean you were a soldier?"
Logan, the reclusive type, tucked the tag back under his shirt, still saying nothing. Logan was starting to get irritated by Rogue's chatter, but she kept talking.
After a while, Logan realized she wasn't so annoying, and he began to talk with her. They exchanged names, and Logan learned that Rogue's real name was Anna Marie.
Just as the two were getting along, a large tree suddenly fell in front of them.
"Bang!"
Distracted by the conversation, Logan didn't have time to react. He was thrown through the shattered windshield, rolling nearly ten meters across the snow.
Rogue, who was wearing her seatbelt, remained in the car but was still dazed from the impact.
After a moment, Rogue gathered her senses and looked around. She saw the windshield shattered and Logan lying on the ground ahead, unconscious.
Panicked, she struggled to release her seatbelt so she could check on Logan. But despite her efforts, the belt was jammed, and her strength couldn't free it.
Meanwhile, Logan began to stir. The massive wound on his forehead started to close rapidly.
Within seconds, the injury had fully healed.
This was Logan's superpower: his healing factor!
Rogue was stunned by what she saw. She had assumed Logan's powers were limited to his metal claws but never expected his ability to heal so quickly.
"Are you alright?" Logan asked.
Rogue snapped out of her daze. "I'm stuck."
At that moment, Rogue noticed the smell of gasoline. She realized the camper van had caught fire.
Logan was about to rush over to help Rogue when he noticed something odd about the fallen tree.
It hadn't fallen naturally; it had been forcibly pushed down.
Sensing danger, Logan extended his claws and became alert, his keen senses scanning the surroundings.
Hiding in the nearby bushes, Sabretooth realized his ambush had been discovered. He had hoped to catch Logan off guard when he opened the door, but now that Logan was onto him, the element of surprise was gone.
Sabretooth saw Logan turn toward him, recognizing that his cover had been blown. With a roar, he lunged out of the bushes.
"Roar!"
"Boom!"
Logan was sent flying, slamming into a tree with a diameter of over fifty centimeters, snapping it in half.
Sabretooth picked up the broken tree trunk and, before Logan could recover, swung it down at him with immense force.
"Bang!"
The impact sent Logan flying again, this time landing on the hood of the camper van. The force of the blow knocked Logan unconscious, and his claws retracted.
Inside the van, Rogue was frantic. Seeing Logan unconscious and the fire spreading, she tugged desperately at her seatbelt, but it was still jammed tight.
As Sabretooth drew closer, panic welled up inside her, tears streaming down her face.
Just then, a sudden snowstorm swept through, forcing Sabretooth back.
Two figures, clad in leather outfits, appeared from behind Sabretooth.
It was Scott, with his red-tinted visor, and Ororo, her silver hair gleaming against the snow. Ororo's eyes glowed white as a small vortex of wind swirled around her. This was her power—to control the weather.
As Sabretooth struggled against the storm, Scott raised his hand to his visor and activated the mechanism.
"Zap!"
A red beam of energy shot out from Scott's visor, his signature power—a concussive blast from his eyes.
Sensing the danger, Sabretooth leapt to the side, narrowly avoiding the blast.
"Bang! Bang!"
Suddenly, the sound of low, powerful gunshots echoed through the area. Sabretooth felt a surge of pain as he was struck by a series of bullets.
Moments later, he lay on the ground, howling in agony, his left arm missing—torn off completely by the gunfire. Blood oozed from the wound, leaving only a mangled shoulder.
He soon realized that not only had his arm been destroyed but also one of his legs. He couldn't even stand.
But his body, driven by the same healing factor that Logan possessed, began to regenerate, slowly regrowing the lost arm and leg.
Sabretooth had the same self-healing ability and immortality as Wolverine. In terms of sheer strength, speed, and senses, Sabretooth even surpassed him.
While Sabretooth's body was healing, Scott and Ororo weren't so lucky. Both of them had lost an arm and a leg, lying on the ground, screaming in pain.
"Ahhh!"
Suddenly, a group of soldiers dressed in white camouflage uniforms emerged from the snow, slowly approaching.
They were cautious, watching the three mutants warily, as though afraid they could still fight back.
"Unit 7, Unit 9, use the tranquilizers."
"Yes, sir."
These soldiers were well-trained. Two of them quickly holstered their rifles and drew tranquilizer guns from their belts, aiming at Sabretooth.
"Zing! Zing!"
Two darts hit Sabretooth, the specialized tranquilizers immediately sending him into a deep slumber.
Even unconscious, Sabretooth's healing factor continued to repair his body.
As the soldiers approached Scott, he reached up with his remaining hand and ripped off his visor. A powerful red blast shot out from his eyes.
"Boom!"
The nearby trees were instantly cut in half by the blast, and even a nearby mountainside exploded, triggering an avalanche.
Several soldiers were thrown back by the concussive force.
But despite the seemingly destructive power of the blast, it didn't tear them apart. They quickly recovered, gritting their teeth through the pain, and rolled out of the way to avoid further damage.
Clearly, these soldiers were no ordinary humans.
