Qiao Zhiyi noticed that Ah Gui's gaze kept darting towards the kitchen and urged him, "Hurry up and come in. Don't stand at the door."
Ah Gui took a couple of steps inside and when he saw the figure in the kitchen, his heart seemed to stop for a second.
Shi Jingzhou glanced at Ah Gui, then turned to look at Qiao Zhiyi standing behind them and raised his eyebrows.
Qiao Zhiyi pursed her lips and smiled.
"You two big men, if you're not going to help, don't just stand there. I'll go stir-fry the dishes," Qiao Zhiyi shooed them off to a distance.
The relaxed look had faded from Ah Gui's face.
At this moment, Shi Jingzhou appeared to be enjoying the spectacle, patting his shoulder and signalling him towards the balcony.
Only after the door closed did Ah Gui let out a heavy sigh of relief.
"Why so nervous?" Shi Jingzhou asked knowingly.
"Not at all," Ah Gui mumbled, looking down at his toes.
