Seven Days of Voyage! Arrival on Planet Namek

Leaving Earth.

As the spaceship finally entered a stable, high-speed cruising state, Talot and Salari both let out a sigh of relief, unfastening their seat belts.

The journey to Namek would take seven days—one day longer than the ship Goku used in the original work. Of course, the actual travel time would depend on the condition of the spaceship and any obstacles encountered in space.

Surrounding this planet were three enormous stars, radiating dazzling light.

Because of these three giant stars, this enormous jade-like planet experienced constant illumination; the entire planet knew only daytime, not night.

"So, this is Namek? It's several times larger than Earth," Salari exclaimed, her excitement clear as she eagerly looked forward to exploring the planet.

Even on a large spaceship like this, boredom was inevitable.

"According to the data, Planet Namek has no night due to its constant exposure to light from three glowing stars. Not only that, but it's unlike typical planets. From space, it appears this color, but the internal environment may look very different from what we see now," Talot explained.

This information came partly from star map data on Planet Namek and partly from Talot's memories from his previous life.

Actually, in a certain sense, it is precisely because of the exposure to three suns that the species on this planet were entirely different from life on other ordinary planets.

The Namekians' ability to survive on such a planet was entirely due to their unique biology.

According to the original work, Namekians could survive through a process similar to plant photosynthesis.

To put it in more detail, as long as they drink water, they can use photosynthesis to produce starch, sustaining their bodily functions.

Though they were plant-like in a sense, Namekians reproduce via eggs.

In ancient times, the Namekians possessed exceptionally advanced technology, which eventually led to severe pollution on Namek. When their CO₂-protective layer was damaged, the planet suffered from cosmic radiation, turning it into a dead star.

At that time, the Namekians were nearly wiped out.

Fortunately, their spacefaring technology was advanced enough that a small number of Namekians survived the harsh period on other planets. When the survivors eventually returned to Planet Namek, they abandoned technological progress, focusing instead on replanting green vegetation in large numbers to restore their CO₂ barrier.
