How Disgusting!

A dazzling light pierced the night sky, turning the dark sky bright as day in an instant, followed by a deafening boom echoing through the heavens. The earth shook violently as rocks on the ground shattered, sending debris flying everywhere. The shockwave, mixed with powerful gusts of wind, swept across the landscape like a tsunami, destroying everything in its path.

When people opened their eyes, they were stunned by the scene before them. A kilometer-wide crater appeared where the meteor had struck, so deep that its bottom could not be seen. The area around the crater was in chaos: rocks were pulverized, the ground was leveled, and the trees in the forest were cut off at their trunks, engulfed in raging flames, with thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Kaguya, her jade-like fingers gently resting on her chin, nodded to herself in satisfaction. Though her power was suppressed and the impact wasn't as strong as in the Naruto world, she was pleased with the destruction she caused here. However, one drawback was the enormous chakra consumption due to the suppression, and even with Kaguya's strength, she couldn't use this move many times.

But she wasn't concerned; this large-scale attack was excellent for dealing with a massive number of minor enemies, but against a true opponent, it was practically useless. It was like using a cannon to kill a mosquito, virtually ineffective.

"With this, the northern tribes should be mostly wiped out," Kaguya said, clapping her hands, and turned to the still-dazed guard captain. "You can clean up the aftermath and see if there are any stragglers."

The captain snapped back to reality and quickly complied, but he couldn't help wanting to retort when he looked at the forest, now a wasteland in the distance.

Any stragglers are probably roasted by now.

In a shadowy corner, someone was stealthily trying to sneak away into the darkness.

"Mayor Eric, did I say you could leave?"

The voice, as melodious as a heavenly tune, suddenly sounded, freezing Mayor Eric in his tracks as if he had fallen into an icy abyss, a chill running down his spine, causing him to tremble uncontrollably like a sieve.

"Your-Your Highness," Mayor Eric stammered, forcing himself to turn around with a smile that was uglier than crying, his teeth chattering.

If he had any thoughts about Kaguya before, he no longer did. He couldn't have imagined that the princess he thought was weak possessed such immense power. He regretted it to his core, and if given another chance, he would turn tail and run without hesitation, never to return.

Unfortunately, in this world, there is no cure for regret, nor is there Doraemon's time machine.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself?" Kaguya asked playfully, her pale fingers toying with a strand of silver hair.

"I'm innocent, Your Highness!" Mayor Eric cried out, falling to his knees with a loud thud, sobbing bitterly.

Kaguya was taken aback, thankful she wasn't drinking water; otherwise, she would have spat it out. The word "innocent" was so widely known that it made Kaguya think of those scenes of upright officials solving cases.

But it was absurdly out of place here.

Yet, Kaguya was curious to hear what he had to say.

"Go on."

"Your Highness, it was all Ted of the northern tribes' doing," Mayor Eric wailed. "He forced me; I had no choice but to comply. Please, have mercy!"

"Oh?" Kaguya tilted her head, intrigued. "Why would you be afraid of him?" With her movement, her long hair cascaded like silk or mist, resembling moonlight pouring down.

"You don't know, he's powerful and has so many troops; I didn't dare resist," Mayor Eric said, snot and tears running down his face. "I wanted to tell you, but I feared his retaliation, so I played along. I tried to inform you, but his soldiers watched closely, and I had no chance."

"So you're a loyal official?" Kaguya's eyes blinked, her lips curling up slightly.

"I wouldn't dare call myself that, but I have always been devoted to Your Highness," Mayor Eric said with tears glistening in his eyes, looking pitiably at Kaguya.

If he were a cute little girl, Kaguya might have considered it, but a bald fat man like him? He should just die.

"If you are so loyal," Kaguya said with a sweet smile, "would you do something for me?"

"I'd do anything," Mayor Eric said, seeing a glimmer of hope flash across his face, vowing earnestly, "Just leave it to me."

"Is that so?" Kaguya's smile turned enigmatic, "Then please, go and die."

As soon as the words left her lips, Kaguya raised her white arm, and a sharp blade flashed through the air. A long knife shot out swiftly, piercing through Eric, with its tip protruding from his back, as crimson blood slowly dripped from the blade.

Mayor Eric stared in disbelief at the blade through his chest, raising his head, his face pale and lifeless, his lips twitching as if to speak, but he said nothing. His corpulent body collapsed to the ground with a thud, lifeless.

Kaguya elegantly walked over and withdrew the knife from Eric's body, a line of blood spurting out.

"So disgusting," Kaguya muttered disdainfully, wiping the blade clean on Eric's clothes, her face showing clear disgust.

Originally, she intended to toy with him, perhaps turning him into a human stick, but this guy was too revolting. His fat, ugly face was nauseating enough to make her retch, so it was better to kill him quickly.

Seeing his expressions of despair turn to hope and then back to despair was quite amusing. It must be painful to be killed at the moment of hope.

Kaguya thought with malicious amusement.

In comparison, pretty girls are more worth training and are also more pleasing to the eye, reminding Kaguya of Seryu, still locked in the dungeon.

Speaking of which, hopefully, she hasn't starved to death.
