Chapter 31: The White Rabbit. 

The [Great Devil's Den] forest. A forest occupied by ferocious monsters that could ruin cities and kingdoms with ease. And since the forest was not explored by humans, a lot of ores, materials, and resources remained unoccupied. 

Monsters would wander inside the forest to prey on weaker ones or start forming their colonies and territories inside the forest, but there was something strange happening inside the forest. 

*Rumble* *Rumble* *Rumble* 

The ground kept shaking, and birds were scattering away from the forest, indicating the approaching danger inside [Great Devil's Den] forest, and it was proven correct. 

A horde. Not a normal horde, but a horde consisting of hundreds upon hundreds of calamity-class monsters was raging inside [Great Devil's Den] forest. If anyone saw that scene, they would give up and start praying for salvation. 

Monsters are territorial by nature, so having several species of monsters gathered and marching together was definitely an odd sight. 

So why did the horde form in the first place? You ask with a haughty tone while devouring your ice cream cone soaked in sweat. And I answer with a similar haughty tone while drinking a cup of lemonade, as the weather was utterly disgusting. 

(An: Why is it so hot in September, &%$#.) 

Huo Yuhao used his 『Taunt』 skill to gather that beautiful horde of resource- I mean monsters to train his combat arts and strategies. 

『Skill [Taunt C]: Forces monsters within a certain range or targeted area to fall under status effect [Rage] and focus on the user. It can also increase the number of enemies in the vicinity to attack the user. 』 

『Warning! Prolonged use can cause an increase in monster population in the area. 』 

"Well, that is definitely the biggest horde yet, Yuhao. Congrats." The sarcastic tone of the Herrscher of Finality echoed in Yuhao's head as he gazed at the horde. 

He was sitting on a bike constructed entirely out of nanobots using his class as a [Nanomancer]. Why would he go through the trouble of walking and running in the forest if he could use other means that facilitated his life? 

He was on the third tier of his class, and that allowed him to construct higher-tier weapons and some classes of vehicles. And he was using it to create a forest motorbike to cover larger areas with ease. 

『Nanotech Engineering Tier 3: Create higher-damage artillery weapons and some small vehicles like motorcycles, mini rail-guns, and so on. 』 

(An: He is still training his agility, movement, and dexterity, guys. I don't want someone to comment that using a bike would slow down his speed/dexterity. He is a lancer, and agility is very important for lancers.) 

Huo Yuhao did not reply to the tuna. He kept gazing at the horde with a neutral expression on his immature, cute face, but that didn't last long as it started to morph into a smiling face that would make Lloyd Frontera proud. 

He was on top of a hill, so he had a bird's view of the horde on the ground. 

"Look at them, Kiana. Aren't they cute? Every monster in that horde loves me so much that they give me drop items when I unalive them. Their kindness is too much sometimes *sniff*." He said as he cried crocodile tears and created a handkerchief using [Thread Manipulation] to wipe out his fake tears like a certain noble lady. 

Kiana rolled her eyes and hit his face with a gust of wind to let him focus, causing the handkerchief to fly out of his hand. She had to say that this boy was as annoying as he was competent. 

(An: Rip handkerchief.) 

A month had passed since he started his Herrscher training, and he was progressing at a fast rate. So fast that Kiana started questioning her life. 

She spent a lot of time mastering the powers of the Herrscher of Void, granted most of the struggle was dealing with the Herrscher of Void persona in her head, but still, the blond boy kept exceeding her expectations and breaking records that it became the norm. 

His 『Super-Growth』 skill granted him a rocket-like growth rate and faster learning speed, and when you link it with 『Great Sage』 you got yourself the most competent person to ever exist, well, at least in this world. She expected that he would master his Herrscher powers by the end of the year. 

『Skill [Super-growth B]: Maximizes skill growth rate and learning speed. 』 

(An: Skill rating is still under evaluation, but let's just say that A rank is a prodigy level and S rank is an isekai cheat level. That means if a person got isekai'ed and got an S-ranked skill, he/she would be set for life in the new world.) 

Huo Yuhao recomposed himself and continued observing the horde. As Kiana said, this was his largest horde that he had assembled to date. He was quite excited to see if he could incorporate the Herrscher of Void powers in his massac- I mean training. 

He got off his bike, and it disintegrated into nanobots before returning back to him. He reconstructed them into a super rail gun that had energy lines running throughout the structure of it. 

He, of course, was using tech that he studied inside the stigma space and incorporated the tech into his nanobot constructs to upgrade their performance. 

(An: Characters are limited by their authors, and if he was said to be super smart and he starts doing dumb stuff, it would enrage both me and you.) 

His strategy for this massive horde was derived from a bunny-loving demon slayer and that rip-and-tear without getting damaged. It was simple, but it worked like a charm every time. 

He started charging the rail gun with his element [Corrupt Light]. He could construct projectiles using nanobots, but why would he? He had a perfect element that could be used for destruction and annihilation, so he was making use of it. After all, there was nothing more infuriating than having powers without using them. 

He activated his [Eyes of Heaven] martial soul and used its innate ability to gain hyperspatial awareness. He needed to experiment with something, and he needed the assistance of his beautiful eyes. 

『Authority of Heaven: Projects Heaven's will onto the real world, granting access to the information dimension to know everything about the surroundings. 』 

"What are you doing, Yuhao? You are not ready for that yet, and it would be dangerous if you were to be caught off guard after the attack." The tuna in his head scolded him without any hesitation, totally forgetting that she was more reckless than him. 

"I just wanted to test something, and what better way of testing than live targets?" He said as the rail gun finished charging with [Corrupt Light]. 

His eyes detected all the monsters in the vicinity. It was truly a freakshow, and he was all for it. 

He focused more, and his [Honkai Circuits] activated, providing him with a steady supply of Honkai energy that he was going to use for his test. Kiana rolled her eyes and observed the blond boy. 

A small dark portal opened a few meters away from the nozzle of the rail gun, and he aimed at it. He took a deep breath before firing at the portal, and a pure white light ray surrounded by red, crackling lightning zoomed across the ground and entered the portal. 

The rail gun was damaged at the nozzle area, with steam and crackling electronic noises echoing through the forest. Yuhao deconstructed his rail gun and allowed the nanobots to return to him. He closed the portal after the light ray entered it. 

He focused his attention on the monsters and used his [Eyes of Heaven] to help him gain more spatial awareness in the middle area of the horde, and then he opened a second portal above the horde. 

A spiral light ray of destruction exited the portal and was heading towards the horde, ready to annihilate their pathetic existence with overwhelming might. Yuhao, at this moment, resembled a certain British lion king that had loved Japanese food too much. 

The monsters were still in the enraged status effect, but their instincts kicked in when they felt the inevitable death that was targeting them. Fear gripped their hearts and cores as they stared at the coming spiral of light, and then it happened. 

A flash of light spread through the forest before a deafening boom resounded throughout the entire forest. 

Total annihilation. That was the perfect description for the scene in front of Yuhao. His [Skill Creation Essence] roared into life as notifications from killing the monsters bombarded his peripheral vision.

『Notice! Surviving monster horde +10,000 skill points. 』

『Notice! Killing C-class monster +250 skill points. 』

『Notice! Killing B-class monster +400 skill points. 』

You might be wondering if his attack also annihilated the drop items from the monsters, but Yuhao would not do such a rookie mistake. 

The moment a monster is killed, they disintegrate, and drop items fall on the ground, but not this time. They were disintegrated the moment the attack hit them, but the drop item mechanism still activated, and he was waiting for it to appear to transport to his side using portals created from the imaginary number space. 

Come on, you have to acquire and collect every drop item, even if it was useless. As for why Huo Yuhao was using the powers of Herrscher of Void skillfully, well he wasn't. It was just the basics of the Herrscher of the void powers.

A pile of monster cores, drop items, and materials formed by his side and continued increasing with the increase in monster casualties before finally stopping. 

"Phew!" He breathed out and wiped his sweaty forehead with a newly created handkerchief. The whole process did not take long, but he felt like he had run a marathon backward, but that was his style of combat. 

"Hmm, good job. You wasted some energy here and there when creating multiple portals, but still good. In the future, you would need to create larger portals so that you can access the imaginary number space." The tuna was not stingy with her praises, and she was impressed by his progress for the nth time this month. 

He still had a long way to go to master the powers of the Herrscher of Void, as her arsenal was very diverse and numerous.

And when he obtains more control, he would access the imaginary number space with his physical body without disintegrating into nothingness. 

Huo Yuhao nodded at her before summoning his [Item Box] and getting a bottle filled with a water canteen that had a special drink made by the variety of fruits and vegetables in his backyard that helped him recover. 

He took big gulps from it before breathing out heavily. He stored it back into the [Item Box] and stared at the piles of loot that he obtained. 

"Kukukuku, I love grinding so much. The grind never stops, lads." He did his signature evil laugh, earning himself a gust of wind to the face from the creeped-out tuna. 

*Cough* *Cough* 

He faked a cough into his fist to recompose himself. He really couldn't help it when he saw large amounts of drop items and resources in front of him. 

(An: Grinding in video games to get certain armors or weaponry is the true way to enjoy the game. Play Nier Automata, lads. It is very good.)

He kept appraising and organizing the drop items into several boxes and storing them back into his [Item Box]. 

He gained a lot of blood essences that he was going to use for his blood core and upgrade his [White Tiger] bloodline, as it was currently the only bloodline that was lacking. 

He also gained a lot of rare metals and ores that he was going to use in his forge when he got back home. 

As for how he started forging, well, remember the sage book? 

(An: Of course, you don't. Let me remind you.) 

It contained all his knowledge in all the fields that he reached the pinnacle in. 

All the sage's knowledge about botany, blacksmithing, artifact creation, anatomy, magic, etc., was contained in the book, and Yuhao was using it as a reference to develop his crafting skills. 

He had the [Monster Slime] martial soul that was going to be the backbone of his crafting skills, and he was planning to condense the soul rings for it today after getting back home. 

After finishing organizing his [Item Box], he was ready to call it a day and return home as Huo Yun'er was making pizza for dinner today, and he was craving some. 

Huo Yun'er became a famous local celebrity in the neighborhood in the modern world. Her beauty charmed every person, and husbands were tested for their loyalty to their partners, only to find their partners charmed by Yun'er. 

Needless to say, she was having fun in the modern world, and Yuhao was planning to start a company in the modern world that will be launched pretty soon. 

Huo Yun'er would join his physical training a couple of times before focusing more on controlling her [Crimson] realm. She gained authority over it, and now she needed to make her own. 

She was growing up to be a powerhouse that would shake the worlds if she wanted, and her revenge was still a point that she had to take care of in the future when they return to Douluo Dalu. 

Enough with the depressing talk. Yuhao stored the last item into his [Item Box]. He sat up and started constructing a new motorbike using nanobots. He was going back home. 

However, he noticed a white spot moving towards the area of destruction that still had traces of [Corrupt Light] embedded in it. 

(An: He was still on the hill, so he could see the area that was destroyed by the horde quite clearly with his eyes.) 

A small white rabbit that looked quite cute, but Yuhao had an instinctive distaste towards rabbits, so he did not find it cute. What was peculiar about that rabbit was that it was standing on two legs and gazing around the crater with an unreadable look on its face. 

"What a creepy rabbit," the tuna commented as she looked at the rabbit from the stigma space. She was creeped out by its human-like behavior, and Yuhao agreed with her. 

He had an idea about the identity of the rabbit in front of him. As for why the rabbit did not detect them, it was because Yuhao covered himself in an illusion so people or monsters would simply ignore him. 

What? You want him to count his drop items while being open in the forest? That just sounds like a bad idea. 

"So, I finally meet the holy of the world, huh?" He muttered to himself as he continued watching the rabbit still inspecting the crater. 

"Let's get the plot starting," he commented as he rode on his bike, ready to give the rabbit the scare of its life.

Phew, this chapter is about 2.8k words without the author's note. It took longer than usual as I had no energy that previous week, as you might have guessed by the empty upload schedule.

We did a lot in this chapter. I am sure most of you forgot some information about the plot, so I refreshed it with some info cards in the chapter. 

Huo Yuhao was progressing steadily in his Herrscher training, and he would make full use of it. Imagine a limitless technique, but instead of using curse energy and regular space as a barrier, you use the imaginary number space and Honkai energy. 

That would be OP as fk, and it can function as a perfect defense for Yuhao, but that is still in the future. 

Can anyone explain soulium from the Honkai game?

I don't really know its use; all I know is that it is a metal made from nanobots. And Yuhao being a Nanomancer can figure and create something similar but don't know what the use of it is and what its properties are. 

The plot of the world has started a bit earlier, so keep that in mind. 

The next couple of chapters will be about explaining the plot of the world, the forming of the organization in the worlds, the skills for his martial souls, and more. 

Having to read a lot about how to form an organization/company frickin' sucked. That was mainly the reason for chapter delay, as understanding the concepts of forming a company/organization took too long to figure out. 

Right now, a baseline for it is constructed, and some fleshing out is still needed, but we passed the annoying part. 

Honestly, a Discord server would have solved some of the problems, as direct contact with the readers can give inspiration and suggestions. And maybe a business major who was reading the story could give some insights.
