Raising an eyebrow at the director's words, Feng Zhexuan replied coolly, "Director, my father-in-law is in the ICU. Isn't it natural for me to accompany my wife to visit him?"

Sensing his displeasure, the director chuckled nervously and said, "Of course."

Feng Zhexuan glanced at the crowd and added sharply, "There is no need to bring so many people next time. My wife is timid, and having all these people crowding her might scare her. If something happens to her, will you take responsibility?" 

At his words, the director glanced at the crowd and quickly waved them off. In under five minutes, the group dispersed, leaving only the attending doctor and the director himself.

Squeezing her husband's hand gently, Yan Yuling said, "Husband, I want to see my father."

Turning to her, Feng Zhexuan's stern expression melted into a warm smile. He nodded and replied softly, "Alright, let's go see your father."
