Hearing Uncle Chen's introduction, Yan Yuling looked at both of them and asked, "Are you two relatives?"

"Yes, we are husband and wife," Uncle Chen answered with a smile.

Yan Yuling nodded in understanding but said nothing.

Afterward, the maids introduced themselves one by one. However, Yan Yuling didn't say anything to them. She sensed jealousy and animosity in their gazes so she didn't want to waste her words with them.

Once the introductions were over, Feng Zhexuan said, "Aunt Chen, please prepare a light meal for me and my wife. The rest of you can carry on with your duties."

"Yes," they said in unison.

As they left, Yan Yuling turned to her husband and said teasingly, "Husband, it seems I'm not entirely welcome here."

Feng Zhexuan frowned at her words and asked, "Wife, what are you saying? You are the lady of this house. How could you not be welcome?"
