AN: I know I know. 1 chapter in 24 hours. What a tragedy. That's why I have you all 4-5 the day before. Please understand I'm doing this because I and apparently a good amount of you enjoy the story I'm writing.
Anyway, now that housekeeping is out of the way let's get into our prenopsis
The rogue makes his return to dragon stone. This leads to a meeting between all but the three youngest dragons. Revelations send prince and princess' alike into deep contemplation
Meanwhile, a sea snake, a black dragon, a teal dragon, a pink, and a black leviathan (huge ancient whale will be important to his future keep.) Hash out a plan of their own to deal with the triarchy. One they intend to leave everyone in the dark about intil it's implementation.
AAN: I'm thinking Sara snow for my man Alyn. I'll probably end up marrying their kids to Arthur's own as bastardrey won't matter with blood like theirs. Give me some ideas. Thoughts. I'll also pair Cregan with someone Should you all so wish it. I don't remember what his first wife's name was. But she died I think? Why not get that redone. Maybe a Reed? Umber? Need ideas for magic ability's in the north aside from warging and green seeing. Rune writing/forging of weapons like dwarfs? Lmk. I'm open to hearing all ideas. Even if I don't use them.
DRAGONSTONE, The narrow sea, 130 AC
DAEAMON
———————-
After greeting my family on the beach I'm oh so happy I don't have to deal with sunglass and celtigar.
And although I'd kill him should my hands find a blade and he was in my vision, I did receive a rather old bottle of whiskey from him. 'The older the better' he had said. Which is the complete inverse of everything I've ever been taught about foods and other sustenance.
'I'll open this when I'm done with this meeting.' I think looking to my family.
My lovely wife had a different air about her upon my return. Not completely the women she was before her son was murdered. But none of us are the same. This will do. She isn't cold and unfeeling.
Such things where what made me smile to see. While men who thought themselves on the same level as her simply because she was a women, ordering her to put the realm to flame. As they themselves would do should they have the ability. Yet she was the one worried about the realm these men shout to every available ear that they protect and honor with their life. What folly.
In truth, though I'm not happy with my prospective Goodson right now, I'm so excited to see him slap these nobles across their faces. Showing them just how unimportant they are. For I've always had someone holding my leash, forgoing me to do what I do wished to every time one of them even opened their mouth In a disrespectful tone to a king or queen, turn them to ash.
But my Goodson has no such leash. For he grew up in a time and place where every word had the potential to end in a dance of dragons.
People who claim to have the most powerful army and cavalry mean nothing to a boy who was tortured by his grandfather.
My wife breaks my inner monologue with her queenly voice, (pardon my interruption of whatever you're so excited about. Please. Do tell me you haven't killed Rhaenas prospective husband.)
I sigh. Gritting my teeth as the memory of her in Arthur's bed comes into my mind while the sea snake and Seafyre pulled me away.
(No my queen.) her eyes narrow at me and the just now healing bruises and small scabbed cuts remain.
My stepson breaks the tension with a comical laugh then a jape. But one he doesn't understand the accuracy of, (that's a good thing to hear daemon. For I fear for both you and the blood wyrm should that have been so. I saw my cousins face when grandmother spoke of the Valhalla. But now, as the only other person amongst us to have met him. Please. Tell us all about your time with the black dragon. From your face? I can see it went like you wanted it to.)
This time Rhaenys cuts in, 'and oh boy do I have something to tell her,' I think. Wondering how the red queen who never was will take the news. I for one love it. Seasmoke is almost double the size he was the last time I seen him. Coming up on size with the red queen.
Another formidable dragon to our cause will help the war. With his swiftness and ear experience in the stepstones, he's perfect. As for Alyn, he's an impressive one as well. Although I know not about his combat ability with a blade, the lad is a natural rider. Something he and my Goodson share in common. For ive never seen someone make the moves he and the baleful black beast do in the air. It's amazing how fast he is. It's an awe inspiring sight. Like the two become one.
Many of my family have Said such things. But seeing and believing are two different things all together.
(Yes, and please. Why are you the only one to greet us? Surely Corlys and Rhaena had wishes to be among us as well?)
I shake my head and sigh. (Before that? Rhaenys,) my tone and eyes tell her a lot.
(I needs must tell you of another person I met while meeting with my daughter and her now betrothed.) I end the suspense for one question I know my wife is fighting not to make Syrax get out of me.
The look Rhaenys gives me is a sad understanding. However, the one baela levels at me is the one I'm truly concerned about. (And who was this you speak of?) but I imagine Rhaenys already told her. She'd need someone by her side to get through the tough parts of such a thing.
However, she could do so much worse than Alyn. The boys kind and noble. Always trying to offer help. A good thing. One I hope Arthur and his father bid him to be wise about while here. For the queens court is a rambunctious place. Rive with rivalry and positioning.
(I speak of Alyn.) everyone but jace has an understanding look. 'Ahh a girls chat,' my mind provides before continuing.
(After hailing the seahorse to shore, i made my way off of caraxes to await this boy who sought my daughters hand. Morning arrived first. Atop her my beautiful daughter.
What confused me was the garb she wore. One with a hood hiding her face in Targaryen colors.)
Rhaenys smiles at that. As did baela. The queen and stepson kept stone faced. I continued. (Imagine my surprise however when next I see a dragon I'm all to familiar with. Seasmoke.)
My words are left In the air. Before rhaenys laughs a true, sad, joyful laugh.
Her tears are hard to discern. But the words make it easier. (If seasmoke accepts him how can I not? For I saw him as a newborn weak and frail, wrap around laenors neck.)
Baela comforts her quietly while my tale continues. All the way up until the fight between the lord of ice and fire and myself.
(What?!) My wife's angry voice cuts through the room. I roll my eyes and explain that I'd all but called for it. That eased her worries. Though not completely. 'Something to do later tonight,' I thought to myself. Continuing into my story of leaving and returning.
Sigh. War Is coming. And I need my youngest sons away from it.

HIGHTIDE, Drifmark, 130 Ac
ARTHUR
I see Rhaena,Corlys, and Alyn looking at davon. Deciding enough silence has passed I started speaking.
(This is davon. For his crimes, I should mark him with Valyrian steel. But he offered me something I'm in greater need of. A smuggler.)
My soon goodgrandfather Corlys put two and two together rather quickly. (I knew that pirate story wasn't right. But I couldn't let go of the Valyrian writing on the chest.)
He stood up to do somehting but was cowed by my look.
We are about to address the blacks court. Somehting i loath doing but such things must be done sometimes. Though with the attitudes I remember from nobles, blood will be shed.
How important that blood is, remains to be seen. For i won't let a single of those want to be Valyrians wag their tongue wantonly like they're used to doing amongst dragonlords.
That ends soon. Very soon.
I break from my thoughts. Seeing Alyn put a hand on his dads forearm gives me hope. He's ready for the blacks. The red queen though? That's his true worry. Even I can see that.
Rhaena, my beautiful pink dragon, refuses to be left out of meetings. While it's something I admire, I don't enjoy letting her see the none magnanimous part of me. The dark part that was tortured into me.
However, it's one im all the more thankful for each day. While I hated and will always loath jaenyx, I understand his point of view now.
My wishes to survive the doom and help the dragons lead to the old gods giving my grandfather a vision.
For my survival a price must be paid. One he never mentioned the price of. Only the need to get it done.
I return to reality and speak. Hoping to get this over with shortly. As I'm as ready to rid the world of the triarchy soon.
After killing aemond I plan to drop mini abombs on top of the leaders of myr and tyrosh. A fitting end in my opinion.
(I have a weapon that'll see is destroy the triarchy without losing a single ship. However, for this to go as we want, only those in this room will know of the fate that awaits the fleet making its way to Dragonstone.)
Rhaena looked like to argue but I cut her off. I'm not Arthur the dragon knight trying to immitate my idol uncle Aemon, no, now I'm lord Valhalla of the black dragons who has enemies in his sight.
(Rhaena, not a soul can know. Not your father or the queen or your grandmother. No one.)
My words left jo room for argument. She slumps in her seat. However, I see a fire in her eyes that tells me this isn't over. I sigh. If I'm thankful for anything about Daemon Targaryen, it's that his daughter is like him. Willful. Untamable.
I turn to the amused Corlys and sigh again. Gods. I feel like im 200 years old right now.
I return to my point, (this weapon is a secret of my family. Something i cannot disclose to anyone not of Valhalla blood. However, when this weapon is deployed, it will be akin to the dragon mount erupting.)
As my words settle into the air everyone turns stark white.
I continue before any can refute. (This is where davon comes into play. For it will be him who puts this weapon among our enemies.)
This is when all chaos happened. Davon, shouting about the madness of what I'm going to make him do, Corlys was shouting about the impossibility of my claims. Alyn was muttering about too much death.
But my focus was on Rhaena. The way she looked at me. It was unlike any I've seen from a women. Sure, many women on the island lusted after me. For how could they not? I'd saved them or their families from the stane.
Not only, but, I'm not bad looking all truth be told. That along with my exotic white hair and eyes makes it easy to understand where such things originated.
But the look in rhaenas eyes surpassed all of them.
She stood up, walked to me, and whispers into my ear so quietly that I'm not entirely sure I heard her correctly.
(Finish this. Now. Come with me.)
AN: first chapter back. Setting up many things.
Next, we see the things Arthur did in the past makes themselves pay in the future.
Lmk about the Sara snow X Alyn pairing. As well as cregans own. I also have an idea or two about how to integrate Sparta with the north. But I'll keep that to the chest for now.
Should have another one soon today :))
Live long and prosper guys ❤️
